Chicken

A new favorite! Apparently they've been open a year and I've been to the brewery it's attached to within the past year and I've never known about them. We came on a Friday night, it wasn't busy so we were seated immediately and chose the bar. The tables in the front are set up like a lounge but there are proper tables towards the back for larger groups. Kate took care of us, and was quite knowledgeable about drinks, and we found she created the cocktail menu there. You can't go wrong with any of her concoctions. I was pleasantly surprised by her pumpkin cocktail--not super pumpkiny and easily drinkable. We ordered an appetizer, the carrots and brussel sprouts. Brussel sprouts could have been cooked a tad longer but the carrots were perfect and I liked the sweet spicy sauce that came on it. I had the scallops and my partner had the chicken. The scallops came on top of an orange purée and with lentils, all in all a healthier choice. The chicken, was well, chicken, but the sweet potato purée that came with it was lovely. My only qualm was that we came during cocktail hour, which states that cocktails are a certain price, but apparently it doesn't include any of the cocktails on their menu. I was fine with it, but just wish they would have been more upfront.

Great food. Great service. Try the specialty cocktails. Fall menu is out. Plan on going back with friends soon.

100% Five Stars!! They have lagers, IPAs, Double IPAs, and even a Quadruple IPA, and, of course,…read moreStouts. They have outdoor seating in the front and lots of indoor seating. If you have a huge party, they've got you covered with a humongous backroom bar seating. The entire staff there is exceptionally knowledgeable about their craft beers, so it was a pleasure to chat with them about what to order. The IPAs and Double IPAs are very hazy, hoppy, and fruit-forward. Stouts are full-flavored. If you enjoy craft beer, THIS is THE place to go to. You can order and have delivery, or bring outside food to be eaten there.

The beer here is simply outstanding. If you are scouring the Garden State for the best beer…read morepossible, you're in the right spot. But I'll get to that in a moment. The taproom is on another level as well. One might say it resembles a millennial hipster fever dream, but being a millennial myself I say it is incredibly well thought out and designed. Housed in a former manufacturing facility for a company that made military telecommunications equipment, there are so many different spaces all under one roof. A bar in the front room and a bar in the back room. A small 21+ lounge with couches in the front, and a giant 21+ "sports zone" with three giant TV's in the back. Three coolers for beer to go. A large merch area. High top tables. Regular tables. Immaculate bathrooms. This place has it all. My girlfriend and I came out on a Saturday afternoon when the place was packed with families and their kids. There was a toddler in the small 21+ lounge and a baby in the sports zone, and only two people pouring beers so they were unable to notice and do anything about it. We don't mind kids in breweries but be advised if that isn't your thing. To the beer: according to their website, they specialize in hoppy beers. There were 13 beers on tap (with some being slight variations of each other). One lager, four stouts, and the rest IPAs. They don't do flights but will pour you two sample sizes at a time, and you'll need those sample sizes for most beers because the ABV will knock you off your feet. I love IPAs and I can easily say they knocked these out of the park. The standout to me was the Birdie Putt, which they didn't have available in cans to go, so we got a four pack of the Ground Rule Triple instead. Founder Jeff Baker spent years honing his brewing skills in his garage before opening the brewery in 2023, and his dedication and passion really show in all of the beers. We live over an hour away, but we will definitely make the pilgrimage back sometime soon.

Where else do you get that. Chef is top notch, makes a mean sauce for the fried zucchini sticks ( always ask for extra!) Soooo good. Garlic steak a winner for sure! Coconut shrimp app is killer and during Happy Hour so reasonable but we would get that after happy hour too very hard to pass up. Daytime all locals, love it.

There is one particular bartender though (female) who is a JOY and always checks up. You will know when you have her, bubbly with a smile. On busy nights it's hard to find a seat. Once you do though, the feel is cozy and charming. Real hometown. The menu has classic bar staples at average to high prices, but usually large portions, tasty, and of quality. The garlic parm wings are a must get. Very meaty with crispy skin and sauce that doesn't lack. Top notch blue cheese with real chunks. French onion soup would also recommend. Have tried other apps here and was never disappointed. They offer some weekday price specials so keep a lookout. Entrees & dessert I have yet to try so still pending... They do live music nightly--can't say it's the top acts of the area. Hit or miss but does the job. It's also the spot to be for St. Paddy's. It's family owned and they give back to the community, so it's worth patronizing.
