One of the best nights that we had at Secret Sauce....We have it figured out; get there a little early for dinner. 2nd we order our cocktails, mango mojito and our red wine. 3rd order appetizers...hold off on entrees...Then after a little bit we order entrees. It works out really well this way. We had steamed and fried dumpling, very good and tried a curry stuffed puff app, which was just ok. We came here after a long day trip to Cape May. We ordered Thai basil eggplant with shrimp and Khow soi chicken with crunchy noodle. There was a long line to get into this restaurant . It was worth the wait. Loved the food with lightly fried eggplant and shrimp with thai basil . Wanted to eat more. Perfect sauce .tasted yummy. Our khow Soi was too good . We've been to this restaurant before but I don't recall being blown away. This time it totally hit the spot on all counts! Excellent flavors! I don't have a photo of it, but the chicken pineapple curry (red curry) was absolutely phenomenal - so tasty! The pad see ew is a noodle dish which we typically get - fresh rice noodles and also perfectly prepared. Fried rice and another curry noodle dish were also both excellent. My husband and I stopped for lunch at this restaurant after a few beautiful days on the beach, because it's been a long time since we've had good Thai food where we live. Vikki was our server and couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Attentive without disturbing. We shared a Pad Thai with pork and a Veggie Stir Fry with chicken. Sorry no photos-we were hungry!! Amazing place. Very welcoming with that extra personal touch. Staff remembered us on our second visit despite it being a month later. We've been back many times now. My husband and I popped in for some Asian food. We started with edamame in garlic and chili oil and a vegetable roll wrapped in rice paper and topped with a "secret sauce." Both were delicious; the edamame savory and spicy and the roll fresh with crisp veggies and slightly sweet sauce. My husband ordered the Chicken Larb for his entree. It was a spicy minced chicken dish served atop fresh veggies (carrots, cucumbers, etc). It was lightly spiced and light on the stomach. I ordered a vegetable soup with tofu. I believe the broth may have been chicken stock in that there was quite a bit of oil (i.e. chicken juices) in the soup. The taste was like a lemony chicken vegetable soup. Ok, now I'm a fan. With all the buzz about this place, I visited with a group shortly after they opened and it was uneven. On the first visit, they (the restaurant staff) said that they didn't take reservations when we called; we show up and they asked if we had a reservation. They did seat us, though. Based on some reviews, we started with the Roti. Eh. I hoped for more flavor. I ordered the Avocado Curry, very large bowl, ample serving, perhaps more broth than perfect and not very spicy. Dishes arrive as they are ready, so not everyone get served at the same time. One person got a wok stir fry and it was probably half the portion size of the curry. Pad Thai, just ok and sweet. The group of diners hails originally from the DC area, which has a lot of excellent Asian food. So, we waited a while and returned recently. Not as crowded, we got a table immediately. The summer menu featured a kale and a chicken larb, so I got both. The kale is done lightly with garlic, still bright green and crunchy. This time, I ordered spicy and the larb was some of the best ever. Sour and spicy, chicken fresh with crisp onion, excellent sauce, crispy English cucumbers on the side help cut the spice. Others had the Tom Yum and the Drunken Noodle, both sweet but reported to be very good. The restaurant definitely had regulars who knew the staff and found dishes that worked for them. They are very professional, work very hard, and try to make sure that the customers are accommodated. Thai food is our favorite and this place is the best, in my opinion, in the area. The food is of high quality, close to the food in Thailand, and the flavors within each dish are superb. Poor Quality, Overpriced, and Disappointing Portions I visited this restaurant with my daughter on August 14, 2025, and it was a huge disappointment. She ordered the chicken satay and crab rangoon. The satay was smothered in what seemed like straight peanut butter, not peanut sauce--it was unappetizing and off-putting. The "salad" on the side was laughable--just diced onions and cucumbers in a tiny half-filled sauce cup meant for dipping, not a proper salad. The crab rangoon was overcooked, barely edible, and carelessly placed on a massive plate to make it appear like more than it was. I ordered the green curry with chicken, and it was possibly the worst I've ever had. It resembled seafood chowder--white, mushy, flavorless, and completely lacking any Thai spices. The portion was small and so bland I only ate it because I was starving. Sadly, I regretted it within hours, suffering severe stomach issues that kept me in the bathroom most of the evening. I've had plenty of green curry at other Thai restaurants, and whatever this was, it didn't resemble authentic Thai cuisine. My advice: save your money. Stick to your favorite Thai restaurant at home or look for another option in the Rehoboth area. I won't be returning--NEVER AGAIN! read more

This is by far the best Thai cuisine I have ever experienced in my many years of eating. The staff is so very friendly and makes you feel like family! The food is absolutely delicious. And the ambiance is lovely and cozy. Our favorites are the tom yum soup, the drunken noodles and the green curry! The proteins are always cooked to perfection and are tender and yummy! The problems came with the appetizers. Very average and very small portions. Not worth it! I'd say to skip the apps and go for mains. For service, the waiters and waitresses were very kind. Wow. We've been looking for great Thai food and found it here. Nice atmosphere. Lovely server. And really awesome food. We are so happy.

We were waiting with another couple for about 10-15 minutes. They were seated and we were told it would be a few more minutes a couple of people were getting ready to leave. We stood for another 15 minutes when a party of 4 showed up, the waitress came back and asked us how many people again we said 2 she said the same thing to us. The party of four told her 4 and she seated them immediately. Granted no reservations are taken. I spoke up and said this is not fair we've been waiting for over 35 minutes. The party of 4 (the wife) spoke up to the waitress about it. She walked away and not back toward us, so we left. Unethical practices. If it were me the table of six could have been broken down and separated to accommodate. Not sure I will go back. In review of this restaurant I found that this restaurant has been cited for health related issues. No thank you! read more
