It's a decent size mall. I stopped by to pick up something last minute which they had. I've never been here so it was something new. Parking situation was great as there was load. I ended up walking in where the food court was. Just from the looks of it, your basic mall food vendors. Don't know if that's the only section that offer food or if they have more at another location in the mall. Walking through when they just opened, it's your basic mall. I didn't really check out the whole place as I just needed to pick something up. They did have a lot of stores which I have never heard of. Honestly don't even know what department stores were on the property. Just from this visit, it was decent. read more

So happy to have made it out to this place. More people than expected but that is a good thing. I loved how there are food stores spread out at the corners of the mall. The bigger food court itself was nice, a few different choices that what I've seen at other malls, and some well known favorites. I liked the variety of stores to shop chose from too. Service at the coach and pandora stores was fast and friendly. Would return again. Also they do military discount at Pandora! Discount saves you on the tax. read more

The Montebello mall is small and has just enough selection of department stores. Every time I go to this mall I always find something. Great bargain deals. The service is good and they have a decent amount of clothing items and shoes. read more

In an age where most malls are on the brink of closing, Montebello remains strong. It is always busy and there are so many stores to chose from. There are also lots of dining options both from the food court and surrounding restaurants. I love this mall. You get a wonderful variety of LA sports gear from many stores. Good! This is definitely one of the bigger malls that I've been to. They have a large range of shops and even some that you can't find at other malls. The workers that we interacted with were really nice and the prices are relatively similar to other locations. Compared to other locations of the stores that I've been to, they had a decent selection of items but not in my size. Parking is very easy since the place is gigantic. We didn't get to explore all of it, but were able to go into stores we liked. Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Ahhh, my childhood mall. I used to rotate between Montebello and Santa Anita. Them high school days when my friends and I had nothing else better to do than hang around here. Nowadays, I hardly come to this mall. Only reason why I still would is to get away from the weekend madness at Santa Anita. Change of pace...change of scenary. The stores here are alright. The big Forever 21 is always a plus. And they got a lot of random shoe stores here for us females to get our shoe shopping on. Bath and Body Works, G by Guess and other women's clothing stores are pretty reliable. During major holidays like Chinese New Year, Cinco di Mayo and of course the holiday season, they put on some nice entertainment at the center of the mall. Parking is usually plentiful and it's not chaotic like Santa Anita. Nowadays, I'm just glad there's still a solid shopping mall open. read more

Honestly, I'm surprised this place has such great reviews. We just came from here, and I think it was one of the worst malls in the area. It had no air conditioning. Walking around was just a hot mess. One of the escalators didn't work. It was busy but was missing something. They had the usual stores, but they were all blah. There are so many signs of sales and clearance items, but nothing actually worth buying. The food court had a sad selection. The only thing I think it had going for it was BJ's. The people who worked there look so miserable, only saying,"Welcome In" because it's mandatory. No one is actually trying to help you. read more

Even though this mall wasn't like "popping" I feel like it is clean and still has decent amount of foot traffic especially for a weekday. Came and did a full lap around this mall. It's not huge but it still has some of your classic stores like H&M, Forever21, Q, etc. I enjoy this mall every time I come. Seems like they are having stuff coming up to celebrate Christmas as well so that's cool. read more

Oh how I love the mall!!! ANY mall haha anyways! Montebello mall is a pretty decent mall with lots of selection! They have a nice Forever 21, Macy's, and Jcpenney's department stores. They had some good deals for Black Friday and I got all that I needed! I would say most of the time I do leave out with some good options with the selections they offer here. They have a BJ's and decent food court! It's more so on the affordable side, which is good! It's not that massive of a mall but it will do. I feel some more stores can be added though to make it more better. However, I do recommend it though for those cute stores for the women or tennis shoes stores because they have a lot of them and good options to choose from! Macy's Finish Line Department is the absolute worst. All I wanted was an exchange of a defective Nike air max 270 that I purchased a week ago. Francisco the "assistant to the manager" was hostile and didn't allow another associate to assist me as requested. He had a ridiculous power trip. He said there was no one else above him, that he represented "Finish Line" I have never had such an unprofessional customer service incident at a Macy's department. I used to come here all the time because it was different. After a long time and stopping here to see that it looks different from the last time I saw. The Food Court is now Patio Cafes. There are a few typical restaurants still here like Sbarro's for a slice. Panda Express for quick Chinese food plate. I wanted to see what Don Katsu was all about and it does look brand new. I walked around for a bit in the mall area. Everyone is walking like they have to get somewhere. A few stores that look interesting but I just window shopped. Sometimes I don't understand why some people have to wear so much cologne or perfume where there is nobody at this spot but that's all I could smell. That's way too much!! read more

Great place to shop lots of stores lots of sales. Has your typical Hollister Victoria's Secret forever 21 JCPenney Macy's as well as telephone companies like T-Mobile. They also have a MiniSo. This place would've gotten a four out of five, but the experience in the bathroom was horrific. I went to the one specifically by the food court, and it had a family restroom as well as the regular men's and women's. In the women's there are just bodily fluids on the doors outside and inside along the walls of the stalls. These are stainless steel and they could've been wiped down but aren't. Although the maintenance of the toilet paper is adequate why isn't anyone wiping anything down? This is where lots of infections could be spread. The bathroom just don't match the quality of this mall. Someone needs to step it up when it comes to cleaning I will be back to check on this and update my review. read more

Quality/Quantity - We came here to visit Verizon as we just left T-Mobile. Hoping they would match the T-Mobile offer... Nope, no price matching here. Well since I was here, I took pictures of all the options in the food court. Atmosphere - Good size mall, did not spend too much time here today. I just came by to visit Verizon. 160+ shops and a few large anchors like Macy's, H&M, Forever 21, etc. Parking - As it is a Saturday today, limited parking in the mall. The lot is a good size, but again, since it's a Saturday, it was challenging to find parking. Good thing we like to walk, so we just chose the furthest spot to save time. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm or 8pm. They also have events here, see website. Service - N/A. Price - N/A. Wow, I never been here until recently. Nice little shopping area mall to hang out at. We were here to window shop and kill time since we had never been here. They have nice restaurants and clothes to shop for. I only purchased a few basic things, nothing major. Place is family friendly, and its just like any other malls shopping wise. read more

If you want the perfect Santa picture Do not for nothing in the world come to this one !!! The Santa's cast have the worst customer service and attitude !!! And the mall has been using the same holiday decoration for over 10 years and for me this place just keeps getting more boring . Malls are a dying breed these days. I can't tell you the last time I was excited or even cared to walk into a mall. This was a rare exception. This mall was actually refreshing. It was new and does not reek of the apocalypse that the rest of the malls across the country are facing. I like that all the stores are actually opening because I've seen malls where a bunch of them were closed or closing out. It has a nice parking lot with lots of space. I keep saying that there's lots of space because I kept forgetting that it was LA; not NYC. I didn't get to check out all the shops but I can see this as a place for hangouts. read more

Lots of parking & it doesn't get crowded like Santa Anita Mall, which is a plus to me. The food court is just ok. I feel as though the shops here are a little more friendly than the busier malls. It's conveniently located to me and very easy for me to feed my Hello Kitty obsession, and the Forever 21 is easily accessible from outside. This is my go to mall! Excellent indoor mall with well over 100 shops and eateries. They have the JCPennys and Macy's as their main department stores, and they have a wonderful food court which is spacious and lots of variety including; Burger King, Charley's, Torta Grill and Chicke Now. They also have a few different types of ice cream and fro yo shops. This mall was not super crowded and a few of the places they have are FYE, Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, and several others for holiday gifts. They pretty much have most of the usual shops you will find in a mall, but I found it very easy to navigate around and it was not too large so you would end up tiring. I really enjoyed coming here and will be going back for sure once things die down on the pandemic end. read more

Stopped by on Saturday 07/01/23 for the first time. I had no idea there was a mall in Montebello, yet I never come to this area often. This mall is relatively small if you are comparing it to Westfield Santa Anita (Arcadia mall), Ontario Mills outlet, and the Del Amo mall in Torrance. This mall reminds me of the Montclair Place mall and the Puente Hills Mall - a bit dull and businesses seem to be a bit slow. read more

My wife needed some work clothes since she is going back to work after taking 2 years off to take care of the kids during COVID. We shopped in Glendale at the Americana on Brand and at the Brea Mall. However, some of the items she got didn't fit right after bringing it home. So she needed to exchange some items and buy new ones, too. My boys, aged 3, 6 and 8 dreaded going shopping (is this a guy thing that we're born with?), but it was a Sunday and a good reason to get out and spend time with mama and explore. Getting here is really easy, right off the 60, but the signs to the stores, like H & M, in the parking lot, are misleading. There's an arrow pointing left, but you follow it and there's no other indication where a particular store is. Luckily, I asked "Hey Google" on my Samsung phone and we were directed to one of the two mall entrances that weren't Macy's. Once inside, it's a clean and well laid out mall that is bright and airy. It's small, but the stores are the ones my wife likes and I appreciated it was basically a straight shot from one end to the other. My boys immediately got excited when they saw Cinnabon as we entered (they actually saw the sign from the parking lot before we even got to the door...). We quickly found the stores my wife wanted to shop and we also went to the food court to get some lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick, some corn dogs, a pepper jack cheese stick, an American cheese stick and a Philly Cheese Steak next door. Service was quick, but the tables were dirty (where's all the disinfection???) and there wasn't a high chair for my little guy. The bathrooms, especially the family ones, were clean and spacious. My boys marveled at the little toilet and sink. There's a "play area" on the second level next to the closed second floor of Forever 21 ( the first floor store is still open). It's basically a carpeted area that is enclosed by vinyl covered foam walls with a beat up half arch climbing/sliding thing, a small plastic bridge and 4 small plastic things on the floor that look like it would open a kids lip if he fell on it. However, it was a great time for the kids to run around, be silly and get some energy out. As I approached it, I thought to myself that it was a breeding ground of bacteria and colds and, as I expected, my 3 year old got a runny nose and green moco after playing there...Oh well, maybe it's still too early to unmask... The hand sanitizer station by the play area was empty, too, so bring your own hand sanitizer. On the way out, we hit Cinnabon. The smell was great, but they ran out of the 6 pack of medium rolls. So we had to order 3 large ones (oh, boo hoo, pity, pity...). My boys ate like champs after burning all the calories from lunch at the play area. In the car, they asked if we were coming back. I said to them, "I thought you didn't want to go shopping with mama and wanted to stay at home and play?" They responded in unison, "Oh, but we didn't know this was what a mall was like. We like it when mama shops and we get to eat and play." Hmmmm. If only they had a bar that served hot wings that was next to the play area. Yup, then dada would love this mall, too... read more
