They said 10mins wait and kept saying "be with you in a sec." for next 40 mins, but at the end we waited for total of 1 hour and 30 mins!!!!And it would have been longer if we didn't leave. We asked a couple waiters how much longer and they said they don't know how much longer after 1 hour and 20 mins??!?!You kidding me! And we had a toddler with us and they couldn't even bring fries or anything for him to snack on while we wait. All we got was water and sat in the dark... Not even a candle. We get that it's COVID time but at least try a little harder. We always support local small restaurants, and we waited for more than an hour!!!! Just the worst service!! read more

Still undecided on this restaurant. The location is good, the vibe is great, the staff are awesome but the prices are left to be desired. I've given the place a few tries visiting for Sunday brunch and happy hour during the week. I do like the fact that they do unlimited mimosas for $15. Was out in Oxnard and was in the mood for a beer and food. Then came across the shore, and boy oh boy was it a great choice. The drinks, appetizers and the food, everything was amazing. Being 40 miles from home, was so worth it. Can't wait to be back with friends and family. read more

Great little place to grab lunch or a Happy Hour cocktail. Food is very good, burgers are juicy and cooked as specified, sandwiches are creative and tasty. The best pretzels and dip in V.C. If there's any negative at all it's that the prices are on the high side, especially for wine although there is a wonderful selection. Also, the lighting is usually on very bright even though there is a dimmer. Multiple screens for sports as well as a shuffle board and pool table for those inclined. Service is spotty, tables service can be slow, if there's room sit at the bar. read more

Was so excited when they first opened but have to agree with the comments since. It does feel like an overpriced sports bar, the menu is very limited, the lights are so bright you feel like you are in Denny's and the drinks are expensive. Loved discovering this gem while on vacation! Jadie and her team were wonderful, providing us with excellent service, and ensuring everything we ordered was to our liking. Even on a busy evening, Jadie did an incredible job getting us our food and drinks on time. The burger was delicious as were the fish tacos! A great staff, good music and a friendly crowd made our evening enjoyable. We'll be back next time we are in town! read more

Dishes are tasty but on the pricey side. The popcorn is delicious and the TVs to watch the games are great. Came on a Sunday and they had happy hour from 2pm to 5pm. They weren't serving food until 5pm (only drinks). But then were allowing outside snacks. Seems like everyone knows each other here which made for a fun ambience. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! If I could put Zero Stars for this place, I would. I have gone to The Shores on multiple occasions and never been so disrespected. The elderly white woman working the "dinner hour" was so rude!! When we walked into the establishment, only the bar was full. NOBODY was sitting in the dinner section. There was 3 of us and we sat in the booth area, and as we were contemplating where we were going to sit the waitress came over to us and asked how many we had in our party. I replied with 6 and she pulled a table over and said in a rude tone, "We can put these tables together, so you're not taking up all the seats." When the rest of our party arrived, we thought it would be better if we moved to the tables so we can have a better view for the football games. Immediately she comes back and says, "I'm not moving any tables together! This is the dinner hour." She was so rude and made our whole party feel uncomfortable. Like I mentioned before, there was NOBODY eating dinner, everyone was at the bar the rest of the restaurant was empty. We could have moved if more people were to come in, but she didn't offer to accommodate. At that point our party decided to leave because none of us wanted to support an establishment that was so uninviting. What's worse is this was my family's first time there and the experience was so poor. Horrible experience, don't think I'll be back. For a place that has a "classy" presentation, service was classless. I'll be sure to share this with everyone. read more

A lot of locals head over to this bar & every time I've been, I've had such a great experience. Steve, I'm guessing who is the manager, but is sometimes behind the bar, is amazing & always makes sure the guests are having a great time. I haven't been there in a while but tonight I decided to stop by & they had live music & great service. Tiara was very accommodating & friendly! She answered any questions we had & made sure we felt taken care of throughout our entire visit. Altogether, I'm always very happy w/ the service & drinks that they provide & always recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a good bar & a good time. First time at The Shores and was very disappointed. Horrible service. The waitress was extremely rude. Walked in and wasn't greeted. The bar was full so I grabbed a seat at a table. I was with a group so we needed a larger table facing the TVs because that was the reason we went there. We requested to put two tables together and the waitress said "You can stay where you are. I am not going to put two tables together right now." She then said that it was the middle of her dinner hour and we couldn't take up all the tables... The whole "dinning area" was empty. So rude. My friend and I were here Tuesday night November 28 and we were in there for less than 20 minutes first we went there got our drinks and there was a group of people playing pool that weren't very nice and the bartender happened to be their friend my friend accidentally bumped on the table and dropped an empty bottle of beer, and this group of friends decided to gang up on him and act like the bar was theres and kick my friend and i out And we cleaned up the glass the bartender came and cleaned up the glass and they kept telling us you guys are kicked out. You guys are kicked out so we were saying the bartender hasn't kicked us out why would we listen to you guys, and the bartender came over and kicked us out because his friends told him to kick us out when we were not doing anything wrong, and on our way out, I went to the restroom and his bartender friend followed us. He was already being super aggressive with my friend, and as soon as he got to the restroom, he punched him in the face and the bartender, decided to kick us out and not his friends, he thought it would be OK to have people like that in the bar Even if they were pretty drunk, we weren't drunk at all to the point where we were being aggressive and keep in mind his friends were probably over their 30s pushing 40s and my friend and I are in our early 20s and the bartender had no excuse and still let his friends stay at the bar and they just completely did not care for their actions and how they were acting and I would not go back to this bar if this is what the bartender supports the manager support. read more

We had a great lunch here today. The service was excellent, the food portions large and delicious. We had the fish tacos and the Shore club with avocado and large salad. The price was fair. They were accommodating by turning on a football game we wanted to watch. My only suggestion would be to keep the lunch menu for Saturday and brunch menu for Sunday. My family and I went to the Shores for a quick dinner after a long and sad day (family funeral). I was reluctant to go, remembering long ago when the Shores looked like a dark bar. My daughter told me it had four to five stars on Yelp, so we agreed to give it a try. We are glad we did. We had happy hour food. The portions were quite generous for the cost; especially the fingerling potatoes. We also got sliders and wings and all tasted good. Gin and Tonics were well made. The server was new and forgot a few things (napkins, silverware, the check...). I don't know if there is a dessert menu, but that was also not offered. I thought the place itself was clean. We came here on a Thursday evening for karaoke and were VERY impressed. I understand it was recently remodeled and the inside is beautiful, very modern and clean. The bartenders were pleasant and provided good service. We came after dinner so I cannot rate the food. Drink prices were reasonable and the karaoke was fun. Ordered takeout because of these crazy times and it did not disappoint. Husband and I are locals but we hadn't tried this place out since their remodel. He got the Shores Burger and I got the blackened fish tacos, both were absolutely amazing, the quality and freshness we were hoping for.
