Man, let me start off by saying this spot is massive! It is definitely not some little mom-and-pop…read morerestaurant. The interior looks sharp. That said, the food unfortunately didn't hit me with any kind of "WOW" moment. Honestly, for my taste it felt kinda flat and underwhelming. Maybe I hyped it up too much in my head because of how big and impressive the place feels, but the food was just... meh. Solid okay, nothing that screams "gotta come back." Servers were mostly huddled in the corner chatting among themselves. That said, the runner was on point. He was a super nice guy, handled his business like a pro. But for the price tag though? I just expected a hell of a lot more.

I had to add another review of this wonderful restaurant. We went this time with a group of…read morefriends, 11 of us total. Besides my BF and I, and 1 other friend, it was everyone else's first visit. Everyone loved the food. We started off with Tamales and the Havana Grill Fantasy which is a huge appetizer plate with Papas Rellenas, Fried Chorizo, Ham Croquetas, Puerco Fritas, Empanadas, Chicharrones, Fried Yucca, and Plantain Chips. It was a great way to introduce different Cuban Foods to the group since it was the first time some had Cuban food. This visit I had the Camarones al Ajillo, one of my favorites. Prawns sautéed in garlicky light sauce and red beans & rice. Service was amazing as usual and my friends even said how welcoming the employees are. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks they selected; such a great time celebrating 2 birthdays.

Finally was able to try thus restaurant because we were in the area. I think it's the only Puerto…read moreRican establishment in LV. I visited Puerto Rico earlier this year and loved the food. So I was happy to find this place. , Dined in around 2p, so restaurant had a couple of other diners, and server set us immediately and was able to answer a few question before we ordered. Decided to get the bowls which included, rice, protein and a side.. of course we got the Puerto Rican rice, roast pork and fried pork, and plantains. I wanted tostones, but unfortunately it was not available and then I found out the sad news after I asked if they didn't have plantains. I was told that the owner planned to close up shop on Sunday Sept 21. How sad! Decided to then order rellenos papa's and some.mofongo, as I would not get another chance unless I go daily the next 4 days. Everything was good as I remembered. I'm hoping the owner will be able to find another space. It's a cute little dining area. Lots of takeout orders and more diners came in for later lunch, I wonder if they know the place eas closing.

I always pop into this restaurant to eat when I'm in town, and I always seem to order the same thing... I ordered the pernil, which is roasted pork, arroz con gandules, potato salad, and trifongo. The roasted pork was so tender and delicious. I got some of the dark meat pieces, which are my favorite. The trifongo definitely wins the taste test. Trifongo is a Puerto. Rican dish made with green and sweet plantains and mashed together with pieces of fried pork and Chicharrón. My food was so delicious and yummy. I had to leave some of it on my plate, so I wouldn't go into a food coma. As always, the service there is on point and friendly. The host and server does not miss an opportunity to make sure to check up on you and provide water, or whatever beverage you're drinking. They're very sweet and run a pretty efficient shop. The cooks really I did themselves this time! The restaurant is always cleaned... The wait staff is always on top of cleaning the tables, and making sure everything is orderly. The bathroom is also clean. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept, so you can see the cooks in the back, preparing the dishes, including mashing up the plantains to make the trifongo. If you are in town, you must try this place. I recommend the roasted pork and the fried chicken. Of course, if you're looking for something on the smaller side, you can try the trifongo. Be patient though, if they are particularly busy, you may have to wait, and they may be out of some things. Over the years, I've learned to ask what they ran out of. Enjoy!
