This was my first visit, and unfortunately it will also be my last. My mom accidentally walked into what was apparently an employee-only area. The problem is that there were no signs, ropes, chains, or any other barriers indicating that customers weren't supposed to enter. Since it was our first time there, we had no way of knowing. Instead of calmly explaining the mistake, a dark-haired, female employee immediately became confrontational. My mom tried to apologize and explain that we didn't realize it was a restricted area, but the employee continued berating her, repeatedly telling her to get out and physically ushering her toward the exit. The whole interaction was completely unnecessary and embarrassing. This situation could have been avoided with something as simple as a sign or a chain blocking off the area. Even without those, a polite "I'm sorry, this area is for employees only" would have been more than enough. Everyone makes honest mistakes, especially first-time customers. The lack of professionalism and courtesy we experienced was disappointing, and because of it, we won't be returning. read more

Excellent bakery store. Been here a few times and it's always a great selection of freshly baked goods. Indoor ambiance is nice and you can see the entire manufacturing and baking area as well as the purchase area. My favorites are their sourdough and pretzel bread. For sweets I liked their cherry crumble cake and their black and white "cookie" as they are quite cake like. Our friendly staff member Briana is the best. She has great recommendations on sweets and I got a few of her recommendations. The raspberry petit scone was delicious and the chocolate eclairs was mind blowing. Custard cream filling throughout the eclair and when you bite into it the extra custard cream filling oozes out. Quite delicious. They also have monthly specials and this month was in their French bread. I got a few loaves of sourdough to go and got to meet the owner and chatted a bit. There were so many customers here yesterday. So busy- the day before Easter. But we were in the area and so we stopped by. Three day- old breads and 2 black & whites - $11.15. (There are three rows for the day old bread but only half of one was filled.) The lines were so long. The cashier asked if anyone was paying with card so we went to that line. Special of the day was the french loaf. If you are wondering, many restaurants come here for the bread. Many casinos also get their bread supply from this special place. After taking a test at the Brainseed Testing center, I looked up on Yelp for nearby bakeries. The first one that popped up on the list was Great Buns Bakery, only a few miles away from the testing center. When I drove into the parking lot, I was in awe at how big the the bakery was! The bakery was originally founded in 1982. It's family owned and has been open for decades! Great Buns Bakery also supplies many local Las Vegas restaurants, hotels, and casinos! I ended up stopping inside on a Saturday morning around 10:00 A.M. As soon as I entered, the smell of the desserts and fresh bread was amazing! There as a lineup of fresh pastries, croissants, sticky buns, danishes, cookies, cakes and more! The store had plenty of bread! There was sourdough, Marble rye, baguettes, loaves, dinner rolls, garlic bread and more. I had to pick up a fresh loaf of Sourdough bread while I was here. If you arrive early after the store opening, you'll be able to get the freshest batch of bread since there bakery is right inside the shop! The prices at Great Buns Bakery is amazing. I couldn't believe how many products only costed a few dollars! I ended up getting the following Cinnamon Roll Pecan Roll Red Velvet Cupcake Apple filled cinnamon roll (It looked like a cinnamon roll with apple pieces) Coffee Cake Pizza flatbread Carrot Cake [2] Bagels (Onion and garlic) Sourdough Bread Service was great. I had a team member help me wrap up a few of the items like the Red Velvet Cupcake, Carrot Cake, and the Apple Crumb. The food was fantastic. I ended up eating the Cinnamon roll first and warmed it up in the microwave. The cinnamon roll was soft and there was plenty of icing. My husband enjoyed the Pecan roll and our daughter liked the Red Velvet Cupcake. The Apple filled cinnamon roll was unique. It was a first time where I had a treat that had the cinnamon roll style dough, but apple filling in the middle. It was scrumptious! The Coffee Cake was good. There was a crumble on each side of the slice. I ended up eating the [2] bagels for breakfast on two different days. I used cream cheese one day and a garlic/herb on another day. The bagels were fantastic! The Sourdough bread lasted several days. If only Great Buns Bakery wasn't so far away, I'd be coming here often! Great big bakery on Tropicana and Pecos. I didn't even know about, just stumbled across and was amazed, that it's a pretty big bakery. Inside smells amazing, ladies at the counter are very nice, so much to choose from. We got bread, bagels and some pastries. Loved bagels, bread was good too. But non of the pastries I actually liked, they looked great, but tasted like any store bought pastries (maybe even worse). So I definitely would buy bread there, but will opt out from sweets. read more

Wow! Great Buns Bakery is absolutely amazing! Hands down one of the top bakeries I've had the pleasure of visiting. Not only do they have every manner of bagel, bread, roll and croissant, they also have cookies, cakes, pastries and danishes. Staff was super friendly, and all the bread and pastries we chose so far have been delicious. What was also fun was when you enter, look to your left and you can glance through to the back and see the "behind the scenes" of the bakery in full swing. The prices here are extremely affordable too. It's almost unbelievable. They even have a large rack of breads and other "day old" items that are reduced in price even further. Today at approximately 2:30 p.m., while visiting the store as a regular customer, I witnessed an extremely disturbing incident involving one of your employees and an elderly customer. The employee was yelling at the woman, using inappropriate language, and physically touching her while forcing her to leave the store. I have never witnessed such unprofessional and disrespectful treatment of a customer. Several other customers also observed the incident, and we were all shocked by what we saw. From what I could tell, the situation began because the elderly woman accidentally walked into the wholesale area near not even in the kitchen. While I understand that customers should not enter restricted areas, there are respectful and professional ways to handle such situations. The employee's behavior was completely unacceptable. I was deeply disappointed by how this customer was treated. The elderly woman left the store in tears, which was heartbreaking to witness. I was surprised that the situation did not escalate further or result in a call to the police. As a loyal customer, this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I expect businesses to treat all customers with dignity and respect, especially elderly individuals. Based on what I witnessed today, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this bakery. read more

Gosh, I wish this place was closer to where I lived! That being said, if it were, I would probably be a lot heavier than I am now. Lately I've grown weary of bread that you could buy at a supermarket and because I don't tend to use bread that often, I like a higher quality when I do and Great Buns Bakery has stepped up and taken the mantle. I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and figured I would stop in because it had honestly been nearly two decades and since the last time I had anything from there. As soon as you walk through the doors, you were in a bread and baked good to wonderland. So many different options adorn the walls from breads to pastries to cookies to specialty items and don't give me started on the smell. It's amazing! I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything that you buy there, however, my favorites so far have been their sourdough loaf, their English muffins, and their black and white cookies. I also love how they have a day-old section where their items are discounted. Both times that I've been in there, in the last 2 months or so, I always think my bill is going to be so much more expensive than it is for how much I get. I utterly love everything about this hidden gem. First of all, let me share with you that I'm 100% Sicilian and they sell cookies that are authentic Sicilian that my Godmother used to bake. They are made with figs and dates and nuts and sugar and flour and calories and they are authentically Sicilian! If figs are not your go to, they have the Sicilian sesame seed cookies. Let's talk about the refrigerated section..... Cannoli ( plural for a single cannolo) are stuffed crispy shells and filled with a sweetened ricotta with chocolate chips and sifted confectioners sugar on top. I used to make these from scratch using my grandmother's cut broomstick handles that were sanded and then oiled! Oh don't get me wrong.... They have other desserts like eclairs, brownies, cinnamon rolls and on and on including homemade breads, pastas even in their freezer section. And if you're lucky enough to have the tall clerk by the name of Brianna, her kindness will overwhelm you. read more

This is a cute local business that I stumbled upon while leaving a casino and just so happened they are located in same shopping strip as the nail salon I went too. Upon entry are friendly hellos from every where. It's like stepping into a different time and place. It really is quite charming, cute and clean. Smells are intoxicating to a carb person such as myself ‍ I saw their daily deal board when you walk in. I did walk the shop of different breads and sweets. Back area is where the magic happens and pick ups of wholesale orders/special orders. I ended up grabbing items from their day old bread wall which most items are $2.53 and others are marked at higher prices depending on the item. I ended up with chocolate croissants, bagels, coffee cake. $8 total I highly recommend and will be back and refer! read more

Well it's official, I'm hooked! This delicious bakery has been around for almost as long as I have. They provide many local businesses including some of your favorite restaurants their awesome breads and rolls. Can't believe I just discovered it a few weeks ago. It's a massive operation with so much going on. The retail shop is filled with many different types of breads, dinner rolls, bagels, pastries, cookies, muffins, cakes, and pies. Everything is made that morning but they do also offer discounted day old goods that are in a designated section. The aroma of butter and yeast in the early mornings is something else. My mouth begins salivating before I even get out of my car. When I get home after a visit the very first thing I do is throw a mini French baguette into the oven for about a minute and then spread some Trader Joe's cultured butter from Brittany, France and of course a light sprinkle of Maldon sea salt. Pure bliss! And for the rest of the day I'll snack on insanely good carbs and work them all off at Red Rock. Some of my faves so far - the white chocolate raspberry loaf. 10 out of 10! The French bread and rolls. So soft inside with a slightly crunchy exterior. Fab! Challah for the best French toast ever. Small pizza-like focaccia with tomatoes and cheese that just need to be heated up in an oven for a few minutes are so easy and perfect for dinner. The multigrain & wheat breads perfect for deli style sandwiches. Croissants are flakey and delicate. My man loves their cinnamon swirl bread. I also love looking at the day old discounted breads and picking up all the bagels they are selling. It's an actual bakery, huge building with a little storefront attached to it. There's endless types of bread, a little bit of pasta and starting to bake goods, cakes and other things. My spot for Specialty breads, donuts, pastries, sweets, desserts and other bakery items that I cannot find anywhere else. This was a hidden gem years ago and they have been around for a very long time. Years ago they were more involved in catering to the restaurants and catering companies. What no sourdough... So we came here to get some good bread to go with our Easter dinner. They have soooooo many styles and types of loaves, rolls, bagels etc. and all fresh. This particular day I was looking for a couple of loaves, but one in particular sourdough, they only had small rolls, not the big ones or the loaves that I was looking for. Kind of odd for just shy of 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning not to have that and that's why I took one star away, but that aside I had plenty of other choices and got what I thought to be some quality replacements for our meal. If you're having a special event and you need some really good bread chances are you're gonna find it here.
