I was really craving Vox but the line was too long that day, so I found this spot! The prices here are really great, but I will say the flavors aren't fully there. Nevertheless a great spot for a quick bite and the service was amazing too!

Tried the Lomo Saltado and the Pho Dac Biet (Combination pho). The pho was pretty decent! Good clean tasting broth and the meats were tender, came with steak, brisket, tendon, meatball, and tripe. Not the best pho I've had, but really enjoyable nonetheless! The Lomo Saltado was the star of the show! This was as good if not better than VOX and the price is less (Sorry to pick on VOX but everyone has been there and they are known for their Lomo Saltado). Been to VOX many times and love their food. The fries were flavorful and had a nice crisp, even with the sauce on it, came with really good garlic noodles, and the beef was so juicy and tender. But the star of the show was the Aji green sauce! What I really like about it is that it has a nice spicy kick to it! May want to ask for extra! Overall, enjoyed the food, Lomo Saltado was delicious!

First timer, ordered the following -Lomo Saltado- medium spice, very flavorful and portion was enough to share. Garlic noodles along with the fries . Dusted that plate. - Rib Bone Broth, my husband enjoyed it very much, meat was tender and was very filling. He says we will be back! - Thai Tea-

My cousins and I happened to pass this place when driving and the photos of the food looked great! It was empty inside, but there were so many reviews on yelp and thought we had to try it out. I really enjoyed the lomo saltado plate with the filet mignon and fries. It was very flavorful and I loved the garlic noodles!! The portions were pretty big. As for the fried rice, I thought it was alright. I am glad I tried this place and highly recommend getting the lomo saltado plate!

This is one of my sister's favorite places and I can see why! The Lomo Saltado Shaken Fries were delicious. Nice and hot, with crispy fries. I got it with garlic noodles which had really good flavor as well. I finished the whole thing despite the generous portions! Service was very accommodating and checked in with us often. I would definitely come back again for this dish! Parking is nice and easy in the lot in the back.

I ordered the Lomo Saltado last night for a quick dinner. I was the last customer to pick it up and it was fresh and very good portion sized and delicious. Very good service very clean. I will be back again. I got the garlic noodle Lo Salado shaken fries and steak if you're not super hungry, you can share it with two people.

I went there for a late lunch takeout. Lots of parking. The restaurant is a bit rundown and the decor is clean but a bit worn. The inside is cavernous. There removed the counter to give it an open appearance. The service is good and very helpful. I ordered the garlic noodles and grilled shrimp. Very well seasoned, fresh and well prepared. The prices were very reasonable. A couple next to me was having the Lomo Salgado and the Bone in Short Rib Pho that looked delicious. I think it would be worth it to come back to try it. Overall, I would rate the experience as good.

For the food they served we were surprised that they didn't have that many customers. The food was amazing - flavorful, aromatic, and decently-portioned. The highlight was definitely the garlic noodles, but their pad thai was pretty good also. My table ordered the rib-eye steaks which were one level rarer than they wanted. We were sat in a darker area for a large table so we hope the lights will be on next time to increase the ambiance. Service was wonderful and accommodating.

I honestly looove this place, it's such a hole in the wall!! It's usually pretty quiet inside but always has people coming and going When I go I like to get the HOUSE SPICY WONTONS they are super soft almost like a spicy noodle ball with meat inside if that makes any sense. They are super delish!! My go to dish is the LOMO SALTADO SHAKEN FRIES ( They are mouth watering ) I love how garlicky they are and lately I've been adding a fried egg and that really hits the spot!! The FRESH PASSION FRUIT drink is bomb as well I like to add water to extend my drink but that's just me lol. The SERVICES is GOOD, I get seated pretty quickly when I go. They are very attentive and the food comes fast and hot !! It's definitely a place I like to visit often!!

4.5 = food 4.5 = service 3 = ambience I've been here twice within the past month. First time I got their Lomo Saltado Shaken Fries which is one thing they're known for. My girlfriend told me that it was good and the French fries really makes the dish even though it doesn't sound like it does. Very flavorful. Service just OK for not being busy. The second time I came with my hubby. This time I ordered their Bone-in Short Rib Pho Soup. Soup was pretty good. The dish was very filing and I had to bring the rest home. They give you 2 meaty ribs. This used to be an old coffee shop but they didn't renovate it too much except for removing the counter. Looks old. Plenty of parking. First time I drove past the restaurant because it's a dark corner.

Lomo Saltado seemed like a must have to get here, so I really wanted to try it! I placed a phone order instead and they were pretty prompt with the preparation by the time I have arrived. The building doesn't look the nicest, the food and menu makes it look really nice, but the building itself feels a lot older? Anyways, I walked inside and it was very smoky. It didn't seem very well ventilated inside so I was kind of glad I got this to-go lol. There is also plenty of parking spaces in their parking lot. When I had the time to try the food, it smelled great! First glance, the noodles do look a bit dry. I went ahead for the Filet Mignon and that was actually really tasty. Some pieces were really nice and some were a bit tough? So it was kind of uneven but the taste was pretty good. I poured over the green sauce since the noodles tasted dry too, so that helped a lot. The fries underneath were also pretty good too. This is quite an expensive dish ($20) for the lomo saltado shaken fries, and I feel like it's not really worth the price? The noodles were the most disappointing factor, but the taste overall was pretty good. I don't think I would spend $20 on this again tho tbh lol

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. When you go in, there's a tea sampling station with the menus so you can see which tea you would like to order. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

We got a variety of dishes to try out, and overall it was just ok. The soup was good but was a little light on ingredients, the papaya salad was decent with a little kick, noodles didn't really have much truffle taste but was ok, green beans were crunchy and probably the best dish here, and the mango sticky rice was not ripe. Most of the mango pieces were hard / not sweet and proportion to the rice was off. The staff was friendly and the space is very open and welcoming. Not sure if I'd come back though unless I was craving the Asian fusion tea service.

I was meeting my foodie friend there at 12:30. The parking lot has limited space, which made it an extra challenge to park. Thankfully I only had to circle the block once to come back and snag a spot. (Meanwhile, my friend got there before me and was already enjoying an appetizer). Orders are placed at the counter and they call your number once your food is ready. The dining room consists of mostly booth seating with one "communal" table, and counter seating with 5ish chairs. There are also a handful of tables set outside. I've really been enjoying banh mi and their Bulgogi beef sandwich sounded great. I also happen to have a thing for popcorn chicken, so I got an order of that to round out my lunch. Oh, and based on the rave reviews I've read about their peach & lychee green tea, I ordered one of those as well. Let me just say, lunch was very satisfying! The sandwich was generously filled the fresh ingredients and the meat to veggie ratio was perfect. I'm not sure what the green sauce was that they finished the sammie off with but it was SO tasty!! I requested the popcorn chicken with medium heat and it was just spicy enough to leave my tongue tingling slightly. My friend saved an egg roll for me and it was also really good. (The tea by the way was very refreshing.) Now, this was my first time here but I never saw anyone come out to check the dining room or wipe down the tables after the lunch rush. This was especially concerning to me because they had a guy doing work on the windows who put his feet/ shoes on the tables right under said windows. Ewww. But aside from the parking challenge and the table hygiene/cleanliness, our visit was quite enjoyable and the food was very good. We would definitely return, but we'll have to plan around the lunch rush!

My only complaint was the service. Our server wasn't very communicative and came across pretty bland and uninterested, which took away from the overall experience. Found it lacking some substance though. Some slices of port and some veggies added in would have balanced the meal out and made it more complete. 4.5/5 So overall, food is still great here although on the bit pricier side compared to other similar soup places nearby. THE BAD: as stated from another reviewer, customer service is horrendous here. Really makes me giving 15% way too much for what nonexistent service you get. They even start their auto-tip at 18% as their lowest level. My initial review I was forgiving on this as they are a new establishment and I want them to do well. However, being the 4th time there, it's like pulling teeth to just get water refills or anything else. The front staff you can tell do not want to be here. They say welcome more out of routine then actually welcoming you to come eat. When refilling water, the new waiter was annoyed I didn't bring my glass up to get filled fast enough for him to stand by and do me the favor as he would rather go back to the counter to jump on his phone. It's the same with the main guy talker wears a hat. Both would rather jump on their phones then come check in on you or get you some water. They really should just put a water station or give each table a carafe of water and let us refill it ourselves if they don't want to do it. Being a relatively new restaurant, they should really appreciate all their customers coming in and make them feel welcome as these are the people who will keep them in business and recommend this to others. My suggestion is to find someone to be your host that genuinely likes to interact with people and make them provide an enjoyable dining experience. You can let the other 2 guys just bring food out and bus tables.

Parking is available in a lot, but it was pretty full when we arrived, so we ended up parking farther away, but still within the same lot. Inside was nice, and we were seated in the corner so had some privacy to our meal. We ordered a few different dishes to share, and honestly, everything was really good. The cucumber salad was simple but well done. The cucumbers were crunchy, and the dressing had plenty of flavor without being too heavy. The spicy wontons had a nice kick, although they were a little salty for my taste. Still, the spice and overall flavor made them easy to keep eating. The Filet Fried Rice was another standout. The filet was tender, and the fried rice itself had a good balance of flavor without being overly greasy. The Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles were also solid, with a good amount of garlic flavor that paired well with the chicken. It was great, but nothing that blew my mind. My favorite might have been the Saltado Fries. They were extremely crispy and packed with flavor, and I love a good combination of the fries with savory toppings. Service was good despite the restaurant being busy, and everything came out tasting fresh and well prepared. Overall, I'm excited to go back.

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last.
