Vietnamese soup "pho" your soul! We ordered takeout from Pho Asian Grill today, and it did not disappoint. After running an ultra distance, I needed something to revive me back to life. I got the 1 pho combo, and some egg rolls. Everything was so good! We heated the soup when we got home to make sure it was hot enough (makes all the difference). The broth was so tasty, and they did not skimp out on the meat. They also packaged everything so neatly, that it was easy to assemble the pho together. Their egg rolls were delicious! Nice and crispy, and so flavorful. I got the medium size pho and could not finish. They are generous with their food. I will definitely be ordering from here again (pho sho!) Pho here is very flavorful and clear. Service is great and they are fast serving you your food. The inside is a bit old fashioned, but there is plenty of seating. This place sells alcohol which is not often seen at many other pho restaurants. They use ice burg lettuce in their spring rolls which is typically fresh, but I personally prefer romaine. They close pretty early on the daily, but they never let me down. read more

Been coming here for years. I highly recommend that you double check with the person taking your order before they walk away with it. I always ask for warm water with lemon wedges and without a doubt ice water with wedges are placed on our table. Aside from that we come for everything on the menu but today we came for house special pho and coconut water. Prices have changed. The large special is now $19.49 and the coconuts are $6.49. It doesn't stop me from coming because the quality is great for the body. Didn't have Thai Tea but that's also one of my favorites. The food taste was mixed today. We enjoyed the rare beef pho with tasty broth. The meat was tender and flavored well. The grilled pork tacos were good but quite lite on meat. The biggest disappointment was the spring rolls. Spring rolls are a personal favorite and I've had them at many different restaurants. I also make them at home. Their rolls were about 75% shredded iceberg lettuce with no cilantro or mint leaves added. They also put no crunch.. no cucumber and no crispy wrap. The carrot sticks were sparse with no daikon, very little to no pickling and only slightly crunchy. There were just a few strands of rice noodles in their rolls. The grilled pork had good flavor but that was sparse too. I just can't recommend their spring rolls with all of these shortcomings. They're very bland and homogenized. I really wish they would make them better. The peanut sauce was average with some whole peanuts and carrots on top. The service was prompt. The ambiance was very casual and family run. I'd try them again but hope they fix their spring roll preparation soon. read more

THE BEST PHO IN ORANGE COUNTY!! I've been coming here for years. The large beef pho with filet mignon is amazing. Customer service is great and I appreciate that it's totally authentic and yet English-speaking for calling in orders for pickup. I've tried other pho spots and nothing comes close. I happened to be running behind so I CALLED THE STORE and talked to someone and specifically requested that they make my order a little later because I was running about 15 mins behind. My friends place is a 2 min drive away. Tell me why everything was lukewarm and the noodles mushy. The spring rolls had exploded and the food was overall not good at all. The iced coffee was also bad. That doesn't happen in a span of 15 mins. I'm honestly shocked that this place has decent reviews. Maybe the food would have been a little better if they had prepared it according to the time I was going to pickup opposed to preparing it when I ordered an hour in advance. Veggie pho with tofu. I was able to get chicken broth. Overall, the vegetables were fresh and the dish came together well. I will say that it didn't have the traditional taste with the cinnamon, star anise, etc. I don't know if it's because I didn't get the traditional beef broth but I've been to places that have that classic taste even with chicken broth. On a dark, stormy, and rainy night, outside of Grandmas' homemade chicken soup, what could be better than a hot bowl of pho'? Not much, in my humble opinion. In the midst of the deluge, I found myself driving past Pho' Asian Grill. I have been here multiple times before, but it has been a while since my last visit. So, when I saw the sign, it triggered something in me that said that this is what I need RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE. A quick turn into the parking lot, and there I am. Luckily there was a spot not too far from the door, so I wasn't too awfully drowned by the time I got inside. I was greeted right away and shown a seat by very friendly waitstaff. There were only 5 other occupied tables when I came in, but it did get busier by the time I left. Others must have had the same idea. After looking at the menu, I decided on an order of the Goi Cuon (pork and shrimp spring rolls), a large bowl of the rare steak and meatball pho', and a cup of hot tea. The waiter was kind enough to inform me that even though it didn't show on the menu, that he could charge me as a dinner special that would save me a few dollars as well. I would have never known if he hadn't said that to me so extra points for being honest and kind. Everything came out and it was all very tasty. The Goi Cuon had a good size to them and had a lot of filling. The large bowl of pho' was indeed large, I couldn't even finish it. More than enough to bring the rest home and have it for lunch again. The tea was bagged but very tasty and in a large cup. The waiter came by several times to check in, refill water and see if I needed anything else. Not to rush me, but just to be sure I was taken care of. Although they did not have brisket as an option for the pho', and a couple of others that I sometimes see in other pho' places, they had all the basics covered and they executed quite well. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of the dishes. I ended up getting 2 meals out of it and it was around $21. The restaurant was clean and tidy, they had several servers available, so service was really good. I really appreciated the fact that they kept tabs to make sure that everything was ok. There are a lot of places that never check back after the food drop off until they stop by with the check. Here, the service really helped elevate the experience overall. For over 10 years, my three friends have enjoyed having lunch or dining at Pho Asian Grill. In the past, I have visited over four times or more and always enjoyed my meal. Between 12:00pm and 1pm on Thursday December 26, 2024, our perceptions have changed towards this venue. Today, we brought a new person to try the food at this venue. We were seated and given menus, but it took a while before a server took our orders. One friend bought an egg or vermicelli noodle plate with steamed mixed vegetables and chicken which had heavy gravy or sauce or brothlike substance. The heavy gravy or sauce or brothlike substance was served in a plate, and it splatted all over her blouse as she took bites of the meal with her fork. That meal was not plated correctly! She asked one of the servers to take the meal back and plate it in a bowl. That was by far a better choice. The server accomodated her request. After it was served correctly in a bowl, my friend still did not like her meal which lacked the unique seasonings of Vietnamese food, and the chicken texture was not good. The tabletop salt and pepper shakers could not save the bland tastes of the meals. My other two friends, long term customers, ordered a pho, an egg noodle or vermicelli dish with meat, egg roll, and shrimp spring rolls that came with a side of peanut sauce. They also exclaimed that the dishes lacked the unique seasonings that comes with Vietnamese cuisine. They did not take their ample leftovers home. My other friend took her shrimp meal home. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls, but the peanut sauce lacked the presence of peanuts, and it was not flavorful. My other friend, who also ordered the shrimp spring rolls, commented how the peanut sauce lacked flavor. At the time of our arrival, the restaurant did not seem that busy but there were leftover noodles on the floor where we were seated and the adjacent table. I asked one of the servers to please sweep it up for us. I know that time gets the best of us, but the floors should be swept after the dining patrons leave. My server correctly put lemon in my Jasmine tea order, but he erroneously put lemon in my friend's tea order. My tea was served in a glass cup, and her tea order was was served in a porcelain mug. She noticed the lemon at the bottom of the cup. Between the 5 of us, we spent slightly over $100.00 including tips for tasteless meals!!!! I am glad that I just ordered an appetizer. They kept playing one or two of the same Christmas songs. The lady's bathroom was decent, and I enjoyed the Vietnamese cooking shows and ESPN show that were streaming on the restaurant's wall mounted flat screen televisions. Our family really enjoys popping into Pho Asian Grill on rainy and gloomy days. Their Pho Noodle Soup is amazing and include quality meat and ingredients. My girl also really enjoys their cream cheese wontons. I'm thankful for the Sapporo here in bottles and the Thai Iced Tea is great too!! I have gotten both take out and eat there. Both ways were great! I would get a medium BBQ pho with extra BBQ chicken and extra noodles. They let you take the leftovers home. Came here for a late lunch and was definitely happy with the quality of the food and the hospitality. The tacos were not bad but the buns were not as soft and fresh As I would have liked. The spring rolls were great though. The shrimp is better than the pork, thought the pork was warm so the combination of a warm pork with cold spring roll was nice. This is my favorite place for Pho, I love the broth. I always ask for extra limes, cilantro and jalapenos with my Pho with Well Done Steak and Flank. Definitely need to order the spring rolls too, they are yummy. Pho with Well Done Steak and Flank is actually $12.95 for a small. Prices obviously up with the sizes; sizes are small, medium and large. The restaurant is usually busy in the evenings especially now that the weather is changing. Great, tasty Pho bowls and quick, friendly service. What more could you ask for? My husband and I live right around the corner and finally dropped by for lunch on the weekend. We were seated right away and it took no more than 5-10 minutes to get our food. The Pho was flavorful and filling. They have 3 sizes, we opted for the middle one and it was plenty. The broth was good on it's own, but they brought out basil and lime and had hoisin, chili oil, sriracha, and soy sauce on the table. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food received. Service was fast and friendly. The tables were all clean and overall the restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere. It was about 50% full the entire time we were there. Many patrons seemed to be eating alone. The menu is large and they offer many choices beyond Pho or Vermicelli dishes. However, I usually stick with what a resultant specializes in so I don't plan on trying the stir fry. Definitely will be back! read more

Just moved in to the area and wanted to try something local. My family and I are big fans of Pho. Although this time around we didn't try the pho, we did however order a variety of items from here. Crab Wontons are delicious, the fried rice was a bit mushy for our liking but still tasted good. The orange chicken was delicious and crispy. My neighborhood pho place and I eat it very often. The last 3 times I ordered they didn't have tripe. I asked this last time since I went in person and they said they didn't have it. I asked why, and they said they just no longer offer it. Well thanks for that I guess. My pho order is Tendon, Tripe and Rare Steak. So sadly to say this won't be my go to spot any longer. Our first time dining in since the pandemic started! Social distancing was maintained and all the staff were masked, and I could see that kitchen staff were gloved as well. Service was good, they were not extremely attentive since we came in right during lunch time, but between handling takeout orders and the influx of simultaneous customers they met our needs in a timely manner! The food was delicious! My friend and I shared both the entrees and we were stuffed. I might consider getting a smaller size so we can try out the appetizers next time. The pho is more fragrant than some other pho places I've been to, but not overseasoned. It hits the spot of you're craving pho. The com bo luc lac gets a 10/10! I get this very often at different restaurants but the flavor here wins them all! I even found myself craving for this dish again the day after we ate here so that's probably a good sign. My wife called this place to order the pho with rare steak, which costs $15.95 on the menu. She usually replaces the noodles with vegetables at no extra cost. The last couple of times, however, she was charged $19.50 and paid under protest because she had already driven to the restaurant to pick up her food. The moral of the story: Be careful at this place if you order any substitutions in your food: You may or may not see the price of your food jacked up by more than 20% when you get the bill. read more
