Hip, authentic Chinese in midtown Atlanta. Growing up in the southeast, never thought I'd be able to say that, but here we are in the new ATL! Mahjong tiles as wall décor was a chic touch. All told, I think the highest praise I could probably give this place is my parents would enjoy eating here. This beautiful hidden gem nestled between many restaurants on West Peachtree is a sure standout! I went for lunch and ordered to lunchbox. The lunchbox is served with a drink and kimchi. I really like this place for some of the more funky, authentic Szechuan flavors. This part of Midtown skews a little bit more "mall food courty" than authentic, so it's really nice to have something different. read more

Food was great! It had a slightly modern take on traditional Chinese food. Pretty authentic, a little light on the spice, but the food still quite nice. Very cute, relaxing dining area. Bar looked clean and cozy as well. Employees were nice, but the only thing that's stopping this place from being a 5 star was when I asked what ingredients were in a dish, the server was not sure. Also saw employees just mingling and chatting behind the bar, which might not be the best look. Overall, would rec to friends to try this place out! read more

BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE STAFF AND CHARGES. We will not be eating here again, but if you do, double check your receipt. We ordered two of the Lunchbox specials, which are advertised for $13, but I noticed our credit card statement was charged $75. We called to get the charges reversed and found out the bottles of water we had were $13 each! The problem is that the Lunchbox special is advertised to come with a drink, and the lady taking our order never told us the water bottles were $13. Who in their right mind would think people getting $13 lunch specials would want a bottle of water that costs the same as their meal? When asked to be refunded, but the lady told us she would have to get permission from her manager, and call us back. That was two days ago and we never received a call back. read more

I came here for a late lunch on Saturday. The Food was okay. I ordered the crawfish and a few appetizers. The service not so much, the appetizers made it to the table before our drinks. The lack of attention that we received made us not able to enjoy our meal. We didn't have a proper server as all the workers jumped from one table to the next. No one asked how the food was or if we needed anything. Extremely hard to get anyone's attention as they stood behind the bar talking. So I entered the restaurant on a Monday for lunch (it wasn't crowded). I ordered at the register because no one greeted me when I entered and then had a seat at a table. The woman behind the register tells me to sit elsewhere because that table was for dine in. I responded saying no one asked me if I was carrying out or dining in. I continued to sit where I was because I did plan to eat in but then someone else came to my table, once again without saying anything, and removed the glasses, menu, silverware, and even the decor..wow! It took awhile for the food to come out but it was fresh (only reason for the 1 star) but I had to ask for water and utensils.. don't know what they were on that day but service SUCKED.. big time, didn't feel welcome at all.. won't go back! read more

I ordered from Uber Eats and received my order about an hour ago. First off, I will say the Orange Chicken was okay but not delicious. The lo mein that can with it for an upcharge was not enough to use with even half of the chicken. In fact, we have some rice on the stove so we can enjoy the meal with something. My biggest complaint is that I ordered the buy one, get one free egg drop soup. The soup was actually the best thing happening but they gave us two soups and only one bag of crackers to put in them. I complained and received a partial refund from Uber Eats but that is beside the point. I hope that they take into account that people want to be able to enjoy what they order and that starts with receiving the actual items. read more

First let me say that I placed this order through Uber eats, I ordered the shrimp vermicelli, the biggest issue was that they didn't clean the shrimp therefore I wasn't going to eat it. I also ordered the dan Dan noodle and they noodles were over cooked, super mushy! I read all these great reviews on Yelp and my food was trash. I spent $40 on inedible food. The six of us enjoyed dinner here. All the food was very flavorful and delicious. The Dan Dan noodles and Lemon Bang Bang Shrimp were so good that we had to order some morel! , Stir Fried Pork Belly, Crispy Chicken, Soup Noodles, they were all delicious. I would like to try all the dishes in this restaurant especially Peking Duck! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended! read more

We had the most amazing food last there last night. They were able to accommodate our large group at the last minute. Cory our server was on the spot meeting all our needs. New Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood - welcome! I only had a quick lunch there, but the food and service were excellent. I'm looking forward to having a full dinner there. I hope they plan to fully utilize the attractive bar as a bar, and not just a place to stack to-go orders like some Midtown restaurants make the mistake of doing - Midtown loves our neighborhood bars in restaurants. Also, I hope they will be using that wide sidewalk to create a dining patio, next to Marlow's patio. Midtown is the place for sidewalk patio dining! If they can get the bar and patio full of regulars, they will do well. read more

Found this spot on Christmas eve after being told by a regular at my old job, that midtown finally had a real Chinese place in ATL. My partner is from NYC and doesn't eat Chinese food ITP, because Buford hwy is the only place we can find Szchuan flavors... Not anymore. In the heart of midtown off west Peachtree is THE spot for authentic Chinese cuisines. We fell in love with Mahjong tiles along the wall, and stayed for the Szchuan cooked fish and cucumber salad they have two menus, one chef specialty menus and one with more Asian fusion options. Both have outstanding selection of flavors to match your cravings. Weekends have been filling up for reservations, but their takeout and is always hot and fresh. If you haven't been for their happy hour, you're truly missing out drink AND food specials and everything on their HH menu is under $7 with lots of selectiona under $5 So many Gluten Free and vegetarian options, I was super excited to find out their have gluten free sour sauce and glass rice noodles to accommodate allergy needs. I went all out and got the Chongqing Blood Curd.....I cannot express how amazing it was! I wanted to try something authentic and that I have never had before....holy hell!! Super quaint and gold-nugget restaurant hidden away next to Marlow's Tavern and J. Christopher's in midtown! The main menu has a large array of asian-fusion options and the portions are large enough to share family style. I had the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) as an appetizer, half dozen to an order so I got two . For the entree I got crispy beef with hot numbing pepper and a side of lo mein - extremely crunchy beef and well seasoned. There is also a seasonal chef's special menu that is more traditional chinese cuisine - I tried the crispy pig feet and oh my good lord it's like the fat off baby back ribs that melts in your mouth. If you're feeling explorative, give those a shot, or another traditional dish the Chongqing Blood Curd! For drink I had the Pomberry Spritz, basically a cranberry pomegranate aperol spritz with prosecco on top. For $17 you feel your money's worth with that one lol. And for dessert I had the deep fried lychee with bean paste - crunchy and sweet and a great way to end this culinary journey. The service felt like you walked into someone's home and were their guest, very educational and guiding on different concepts of this cuisine. The food was very good. The numbing pepper dishes were great! Our server was nice, but needed several reminders to bring silverware and chopsticks. Unfortunately, our cocktails were awful. I don't know if the bartender forgot simple syrup in both of our cocktails, but the flavors were lacking and they were both jarringly tart...and I don't like sweet cocktails. When I go for a dine in experience, I know now not to order a cocktail rather just get a glass of wine. Their cocktails on a bit on the pricier side with nothing but a sugar flavor. So if you're into really sweet cocktails with no Asian spins or riffs their cocktail menu is for you. Last night I ordered golden fish Togo for my wife and upon arrival we had no rice, and no option to add extra rice to our order.. seems like every time we order Togo there is always something missing.
