I visited The Spoke on Center a few nights back with my family. We had just finished a day of hiking so we came hungry. The food is pretty good! We ordered a variety of dishes and each person enjoyed their meal. We all left satisfied. The service was okay. We were first seated at a table next to a loud ice cream machine. We asked to be moved to a table further away and our waitress told us the tables near the back were not an option for us. She was able to seat us at a table a few feet away. She then seated multiple different families shortly after in the back seats. Strange. Our table waiter did not fill up our waters without us first flagging him down. We have been here before and LOVE it! We always have great service! The food is amazing! We started with the fried captese tomatoes, a new take on a classic. Then we had the fish and chips which we highly recommend! The fish was so flaky and tasty! The fries were bomb! I had the fish tacos were DELICIOUS!! They're served with a wonderful chipotle sauce. Not impressed with their customer service. We walked In as the College World Series was playing (LSU), the only people watching tv. They decided to change it to a basketball game. After asking several times if we could watch the game and pointing out that we were the only ones watching the tv they recommended us to go to another venue across the street. After later learning it was the manager that wanted to watch the basketball game. I have to say, this is impeccable customer service at its best. read more

It was the root beer float that convinced my husband. We ordered a mushroom burger with fries. Meal was really good and service very attentive. I have eaten at the Spoke on Center twice, about 1 year apart. I chose to set in the bar rather than the restaurant both times as I was alone. Both times the service was excellent. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Last year I had the Arise & Shine Burger. There is just something about a fried egg on a burger that makes it so yummy. The burger was moist and well proportioned. The house cut fries were cocked to perfection. Since I overindulged last year, I decided to go with the chef's salad this year. Okay, so I overindulged again. The salad was big. For those who like to share meals this would be a good selection. The lettuce was fresh. The bacon and chicken bits were small so that they mixed well with the greens. I had the amber beer. I prefer porters or stouts, but this one held its own. Nice selection of beers, cocktails and food. My beet salad was tasty with plenty of goat cheese and both red and golden beets. My husband was disappointed that the meatloaf made with beef,chorizo and pork was so heavy on chorizo that's mostly what you tasted. For drinks he enjoyed a dark lager and after a couple almost forgot about his entree while I was pretty happy with my Paloma. The patio is large and pleasant and seems quite popular. One of my favorite places to eat in Moab and has been for years. It can get crowded during the high season but you can usually get seating upstairs if the main dining room is full. Ice cream is popular -- half the line you may see is folks waiting to get a milkshake or treat during the summer. A few years ago I discovered their buffalo chicken sandwich and haven't ordered anything else since. It's tangy, spicy, and perfect every time! read more

This is your classic middle of down town tourist trap burger spot. Ordered a cheese burger. Basic. The angus patty was burnt and over cooked to such a spectacular degree, I could not swallow the first bite. Think we saw the waitress any time after placing the order? Nope. When I explained how over cooked the burger was....no apology. Just a blank look. Again. Classic tourist trap. They serve a few hundred tourists a day. No need to strive for greatness when they are not looking for repeat customers. read more

There were 4 of us so the rating is an average based on scores ranging from 1 - 5. Hopefully my comments will help. The 1 comes from my daughter who had chicken tenders and fries. The fries were a little salty and the tenders were not seasoned - her words. We tried her tenders and thought they were fine. We think the tenders were "adult" tasting vs. the fast food joints. We had BLT with avocado, bacon burger, fries and loaded fries. All were good, nothing great but definitely good. The fries were my favorite and the first one I ate was salty but I mixed them around and that fixed it. Perhaps they sprinkle salt on at the end. My hubby felt the loaded fries should have the cheese melted some but overall liked it. Service was good and a problem with the burger was fixed quickly. We got a raspberry shake to go. It was creamy and good. The ambiance is vibrant and fun. read more

Had dinner last night. Split a Caesar salad w hubby and I had the Fish Tacos and he had the Fish n Chips. For dessert, we had Huckleberry and Mint Choc Chip on waffle cones. The food was awesome. The salad was tasty, especially the croutons. The fish tacos were really yummy. They were spicy and came w a small salad (cucumbers, lettuce, etc), rice and avocado). Fish n chips were good too. Breading was light. Overall, it was the best dinner out of the 4 nights we've here. Oh, and get the Huckleberry ice cream. Tastes like blackberry :) read more

First thing I noticed when I entered was the smell. Not food. The smell of a place that badly needs deep cleaning. You know that smell. Especially when I visited the ladies' room upstairs. Took a really long time for our server to take our orders and then she rushed out, seeming to be on the defense. Partner ordered a beer, I asked about red wines. She said she didn't know but recommended their local red (of course the most expensive). Against my better judgment I went with it and wished I hadn't. Husband ordered meatloaf and I asked a question about where a fish was sourced. She said she'd ask. Returned 5-10 min later with fish info and I ordered. Husbands food came out 5-10 minutes before mine. I did like the salmon and had it with the quinoa salad - all good. Husband said meatloaf was alright. Other than the deep cleaning, we sat outside next to the intersection where the cross walk signal beeped constantly - this is a Moab thing, nothing the restaurant can do about it. I have been here before for ice cream, so this was my first experience with their dinner menu. I got the BLT with avocado and I was unfortunately disappointed. The bread was not thoroughly toasted, the bacon was very chewy, and for $2 I would expect more avocado. Outside of this, the cheese curds and burger were delicious, and you can always count on the ice cream! I may need to be persuaded to try dinner again in the future, but I will always go here for dessert. read more

Just had dinner there. Absolutely the worst meal we've ever had in Moab. Ordered two different burgers. Both were ordered medium. One arrived with a bun that was burnt black. Both burgers were over cooked to the point we couldn't even eat them. Black on the outside and dry on the inside. We told the waiter and he seemed understanding. He said he would hook us up with a discount. When we got the $70 plus bill, only $5 was taken off. WTF, over? I get it that times are tough but we were very disappointed. We were on a tour and five of us stopped in at 12:15 for lunch. They had about 3 tables inside and 2 tables outside filled. we waited for 15 minutes as the staff inventoried T Shirts. After asking for someone to take our order we again were ignored for 10 minutes. Finally we figured out they did not want our business and we left. as we departed the wait staff was still messing with the T shirts. Won't come back there again. read more

On vacation, came in for lunch with a group of 9. They had to push a couple tables together for us, no biggie. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the 2 pigs and a cow burger with fries. All the fries at our table were a little bit over cooked, a little on the hard side, really my only complaint. But the burger... a nice big beef patty topped with some bbq pulled pork plus bacon and onion rings as well as the veggies...omg, good! Mostly comfort food like burgers and meatloaf, etc on the menu. Clean, cute and good service! I had the shroom burger, wife had the meatloaf, and son had build your own burger. I didn't quite understand how the burger happened because the menu said pick a sauce but the waitress didn't explain I needed to basically build my own burger. It comes automatically with no sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion on the side. Unless you want different but, again, I didn't get it till the burger got there and had to order sauce separately. Not necessarily bad service but I obviously needed a bit more handholding. It happened again with the beer. I told the waitress I wanted a tap beer similar to a Stella. She recommended the dead horse Ake which was good but nowhere near a Stella. My last complaint isn't huge but if you don't ask me how I want my burger I'm assuming I get medium or burnt. What I got was medium rare. How I take steaks but I prefer a medium burger. Again edible and it isn't like I won't eat a MR burger Buuuuut I wanted medium and was never asked Probably my fault for not asking a million questions but I like a server that takes care of me. I might come back but honestly nothing grabbed me so there are a ton of restaurants to explore on that street. One highlight was their Mac n cheese bites! SO surprised to see less than 4 stars on here. We ended up going here after our first two choices were closed, presumably for the winter since we're visiting off season. We sat on the "bar" side and grabbed a two top. The service was quick and attentive (we had drinks ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down), but not overbearing. Liz was a great server and perfectly chill, even while pretty busy! BUT THE BURGER. Holy wow. It was the best burger I ever had, and my fiance agreed. It was actually the best food we had had on the road in a while. I basically had the BOB burger, plus avocado. He had the Texan burger, sans BBQ sauce. Apparently the kitchen had made it with the BBQ sauce and Liz had them remake it, as it was ordered. It was nice that she made sure he got what he ordered. My caesar salad was pretty good, nothing crazy special, a few brownish romaine leaves in there, but I just brushed those to the side and chowed on. The margs were fantastic to wash down the burger and so was the Hazy IPA they had on tap. We also enjoyed watching the TV that was in the bar, which had a surfing channel on it that was showing Ben Gravy (a NJ native!). Overall, it was a great atmosphere and we had a quick, delicious meal at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend and will come back if I'm ever back in Moab (or passing through!) and I'm over the moon that the other restaurants were closed so we could give this establishment our money. read more

As we left dinner, the kids wanted ice cream and this little spot was tucked right on the corner. They were out of some options but they had Superman ice cream so you can never go wrong there! Huge scoops for only $4. You can't find that anywhere. Definitely recommend paying them a visit after some shopping or dinner but eat fast because it melts quick in the 100 degree temps! read more

We were looking for a casual place for lunch after a day in the parks and The Spoke called out to us. The restaurant was really clean and included bar, upstairs and patio dining. Yes, this place is huge. Winston provided great service and was really attentive without hovering. Food wise, we ordered the Mac n' Cheese bites which were somewhat flavorless to be honest. The food and staff were great, the men's room was something else. The handle is falling off the door, there was a ton of water coming from the sink drain and the urinal with a wet floor sign, no exhaust fan that was noticeable, and the dirt rings around the base of the faucet made me question if it was even worth washing my hands. Now these aren't issues that popped up today so it just says that maintenance and cleaning are low on the list. Even a box fan trying to dry the floor or a towel trying to dam up the water would show some effort. Until something changes, bring your own sanitizer. I would've taken pictures, but there were other people using the bathroom. read more
