The portions are great here. I ordered online and it was ready right when I got there. Simple and easy process and promptly taken care of (there's a separate line for online / phone orders) I ordered the chinese chicken salad and it was delicious. Many textures, loved the sweetness of the oranges and the chicken is very fresh. After an adventure filled day with friends, we worked up quite the appetite. I had the French onion soup burger, medium rare. Cooked perfectly. My friends ordered the Southwest chicken wrap, Bacon avocado cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger. We shared sweet potato fries, chips & guac and chili cheese fries. Only minor complaint, is the large size is more like a regular/medium size you would get elsewhere. Drinks: Blueberry lemonade agua fresca, cucumber mint agua fresca. Both were so good! It's a little on the pricier side for a burger because you have to order the burger, fries, and drink seperately, but hey, everywhere is a bit inflated now and the quality, service, and taste was worth it. The Stand is our new go-to for quick and delicious meals! After checking out the produce at Gelson's, we were hungry for lunch and stopped by The Stand, as it's only a couple doors down. We tried: ABC Burger: delicious - absolutely love the avocado and bacon additions for when we're feeling a little more extra than just a classic cheeseburger. Classic Fries: perfectly crispy on the outside, and nice, hot, and squishy on the inside. Seasoned well and stood on their own, but we were happy to be offered ranch and ketchup as condiments to switch things up. Ahi Tuna Burger: surprisingly good! Was a little nervous about ordering this on our first visit, but the ahi tuna was perfectly cooked and had a very delicious coleslaw that added a lot of flavor and moisture. The fried onions were savory and added some great texture to the burger too. Would definitely order this "surf" option again whenever I'm taking a break from "turf" proteins. The quality at the Stand is good; much better than the Counter and comparable to the Cut (but with different flavor profiles). Let me tell you. This was my first time, and I was so so impressed. I got the blue burger, and my boyfriend got the jalepeno bacon(?) burger. We both enjoyed our burgers! I also like how everything is so customizable, the condiments are free of charge, the meat doneness, etc. The star of the show that got me giddy was the Cookie Crunch milkshake. I was looking for a nice burger joint to take my kiddo to lunch to on a Friday, and this place looked promising on Yelp. This is located in the Oak Creek Shopping Center at the corner of Alton Parkway and Jeffrey Road. Big parking lot here, although it was more packed than I had anticipated, probably since it was prime lunch time - about 12:30p. Luckily, we found a spot not too far from the restaurant, near the dentist's office. Thank goodness the restaurant wasn't busy so we didn't have to wait long to order, and was also able to find a table right away. I ordered the French Onion Soup Burger ($12.50) with fries ($3.50), and kiddo ordered the Onion Stack ($11.99) with sweet potato fries ($4.50). We both got the blueberry lemonade ($2.99ea). The burgers were smaller than expected considering the price and a bit greasy, but really good. The patty was juicy with a hint of smokiness from the grill, and the bun was nicely toasted on the inside and soft on the outside. French onion soup is usually salty for me, but theirs was more mild. It was hard to dip my burger in the cup of soup, so I pretty much took a sip in between bites. The fries were a bit too fried though. My kiddo also thought her burger was good, but thought her sweet potato fries were just okay. The blueberry lemonade was a bit watered down and mild in flavor and sweetness. I thought it was okay, but my kiddo wasn't a fan. The quality of the food here is great! Romeo recommended that I get the ABC Burger which was cooked nicely, tasted fresh, and didn't leave me feeling greasy or guilty. The top bun on the burger was so fluffy and the airy texture played well with the rest of the burger. Now forget the food, the reason I'm writing this review as I eat my ABC Burger is because of the exceptional service here. Romeo in particular did a great job of helping me decide what to order and was able to establish a connection with me in just a few minutes at the counter. I was so happy that I ended up speaking to manager and let them know just how much of a positive impact Romeo had on my day. I think there's new stuff going on here. I noticed all new workers who were very kind and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The food was bomb as it always is, but different, I think the burger patties have been changed or were smaller than previous visits. My fiancé and I have been here quite a few times, and noticed the burger patties were significantly smaller. That being said I do enjoy it because the burgers are more manageable, but they are still charging the same price. Maybe it's the same patty just smashed style. I came by about a week or two ago to get salads with my mom. I was raving about how amazing they had been via DoorDash and we went in person. Completely my mistake, when I ordered my salad I didn't ask for the dressing on the side, but I intended to save half of it for later. The sweetest people working took back the already made salad and remade it for me with the dressing on the side. I can't express how this gesture made me so grateful! Service: very friendly Ambiance: casual Food: got the mango beer, cheeseburger, ahi tuna salad, French fries, onion rings, and strawberry milkshake for dessert. They were offering samples of the chips, they are fantastic. The onion rings were the highlight! Crispy, light, and delicious. The fries were just OK, it wasn't memorable. Burger had a great charred flavor and packed with veggies as I requested. The bun is on the sweet side, I prefer more neutral than sweet buns. The salad was refreshing and quite decent for a casual restaurant. Mango beer is refreshing and tasty. The shake is made fresh and more on the soft/runny side. Plan on having it right as you order it otherwise it melts quick. The strawberry flavor was very natural and delicious.
