The state was a disappointment. We went on a double date and got some dishes and drinks. We got brussel sprouts and a few other dishes. The drinks and food were good. I was just annoyed because it felt like we were getting kicked out and felt so rushed throughout the whole dinner. We were just hanging out for about an hour and a half. We weren't even that loud and we were catching up. The restaurant is pretty loud overall. We were trying to order more drinks and food but then they randomly brought us our check and said it was last round. I was extremely confused and our time limit wasn't even up. We felt rushed so ended up leaving.

I kicked things off with the Dahlia Margarita, and wow... so good!!! I paired it with the happy hour street tacos, which totally hit the spot and satisfied my hunger immediately. For dessert, I went all in. I ordered their espresso martini, not technically on the menu, but their own take on it. I'm not sure what liquor they use, but it was insanely delicious and smooth. Then came the beignets, and honestly... chef's kiss. Warm, fluffy, stuffed with chocolate, and served with the best strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries. Every bite was amazing. Great food, great drinks, and a beautiful space. This place definitely delivers when you're craving something delicious. I'll be back

Adding this review a bit late, but the state in rancho has great food with an amazing atmosphere. It's in Victoria Gardens so the overall vibes, cleanliness, and quality of everything is welcoming and safe. Their old fashions and high balls are fantastic. And our server Jackie was AWESOMMMMMM. The complete positive vibes really brought great energy to our table and just made the experience great. Will definitely be back in the future. TY!

Came in with a party of 8 on Easter Sunday and we got sat pretty quickly which was nice considering how busy it was. Felicia was our first server and she was very nice and attentive, always checking in and making sure we were good. The food was delicious and came out pretty quick. I got the steak sandwich which was great and cooked just right. Tyler took over mid meal and he was just as nice and attentive, the service stayed consistent the whole time. They have a huge selection of drinks and a pretty big bar which adds to the overall vibe. Definitely a good spot for groups.

Each time I come in here the vibe is amazing. The service is always very quick and the ingredients for drinks and food is always top-tier and fresh. They do have a patio area and except pets. I would definitely try this establishment. Everything they serve is delicious.

Great ambiance. Love the decor with many many mirrors. Quick service but not rushed. Good tasting food. Brussels crispy but not in a dry way. Lovely music for sure ! So many drink options.

Cheers! Girl Next Door, Basil Bourbon Lemonade, Old Fashioned, and water. Nothing shows more love than a DD!

Nothing says love like celebrating Valentine's Day like double date night with beloved friends! And The State was just the place. It's our local well-loved place for good reason. The drinks and food never break our hearts! My Galentine ordered the VDay special surf and turf. The center cut sirloin steak came out perfectly to her taste, with the added meaty thematic bonus of being cut in the shape of a heart. Her shrimp stood no chance in her dedicated pursuit - she said they were so delish they didn't need extra butter or seasoning. Mashed and veggies rounded out her meal. Why pick one love when you can have two? My Palentine indulged in his two food faves: Mama's meatballs and poutine. He was in 7th heaven with the rich short rib, creamy cheesy goodness, spicy meatballs, and rich sauce. He said he was so full because the poutine was generously more meaty than fry-y, like he'd ordered a short rib dinner. Definitely the way to this man's heart! My Valentine ordered his fave smash burger. He's a no-nonsense meat & cheese kinda guy. It's his dreamy go-to. Hey, you love the one you're loyal to, and my guy is dedicated. Crispy fries with chipotle, ranch, and ketchup for his dipping pleasure. Everyone's in the pool! And me? My love was the blackberry bacon burger. Mmm! If I'd gone out to pick the blackberries myself in the February sunshine, soft-ripened my own Brie, I couldn't have made this burger any more delectable. Candied zippy thick cut bacon, juicy thick patty, creamy Brie, peppery arugula, and dang - that jam...mmm! The best I could do was "M mmm mmmm" (I love you) because my Momma taught me to not talk with my mouth full. Tempura onion rings were my guilty pleasure. They were battered more thickly than I recall from last time, so I peeled some off, but still nibbled all the crunchy bits. Our drinks - a whole other layer of love. I gotta give a loving shout out to the bartenders here: they are second to none. We may travel far and wide, but we always come home to the ones we love behind this bar. Here's to celebrating another year of friendship, great food, craft cocktails, and love - still smitten at The State.

food was generally good but some very interesting concepts like blueberry burger. The taste was decent but considering the price point I expected something a little more well executed. I got the onion rings substituted for an additional fee and it was mostly just breading. I could not eat more than 1 onion rings because it was pretty dry and mostly bread. The crème brûlée was good for dessert but again, nothing out of the ordinary, it was just acceptable. Worth a try but not a usual spot for sure.

Came here with some cousins on a Saturday at 3pm and there was no wait. I love the vibe of this place! It has a dark trendy feel to it almost like a lounge. Our server was nice and attentive. She kept checking on us and came back multiple times to refill our waters. The food and drinks are pretty good. I enjoyed their Cheese Plate and Braised Short Rib Tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful. They also have a speakeasy which I definitely want to check out one day.

An unexpected, yet delightful place with a simple menu and ambiance if you're looking for a fun place to dine with a group. We made reservations and my friends and I came here for some dinner and it didn't disappoint! We shared the Caesar Salad, with the romaine lettuce being roasted, and added some pretty nice depth of crispiness to each bite. As with gastropubs, I had to try one of their burgers. I got the Blackberry Barbecue, which was a pretty great burger. With a delicious herb aoili, brie cheese, blackberry barbecue sauce, arugula, and candied bacon...wow and just wow! It was bursting in flavor and the wagu beef made the burger totally worth every bite. It was a pretty heavy burger and had to actually box up leftovers. The burger also came with a delicious house salad. We also got to try some of their fries, which was also seasoned nicely. Table service was good - we sat outside in the patio area. And our water glasses were filled before we needed to ask for refills. So, great experience at The State for the food. They also have a nice bar inside, for indulging on any of their drinks. There's a pretty close parking lot that's like a 2 minute walk to the restaurant. Or really walkable from anywhere, as this is part of the Victoria Gardens shopping area. I am definitely adding this spot for my return to have that Blackberry Barbecue burger, but for now, I'll just have to dream about it until my next visit.

She took so long to take our drink order after we sat down, that we were ready to order our food when she came around. After she took our drink and food order, we waited 15 mins, and still no drinks. I actually had to ask another waitress for water. When our waitress came by we reminded her about not getting our drinks yet and she copped an attitude and was like "we were busy, yeah I asked someone else to bring the water". Ok. No need to be rude. Thankfully the food was good, so at least that was enjoyable. Our waitress never came by once to check up on us, as we watched other waitresses be more attentive at other tables. Honestly I've had better service at McDonald's. That's embarrassing for a restaurant like The Cut where food prices are not cheap. I'm sure it was just this one individual that was performing poorly, but it left us with a bad experience where we simply don't want to come back, and take our business elsewhere.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5
