We stopped in for lunch on Labor Day after picking the hubby up from the airport. The place us HUGE!! So open you feel like you're outside when you're inside. I love the exposed rafters & ducts and the 5 garage doors to open up the space even more. I didn't expect to see live band playing at lunch so that was a huge bonus. It is really loud (shout to give the waitress your order), but the music was great (Josh Roy Band playing). Hubby ordered Smokin Mule and the Hot Chicken tender basket. He ordered it house hot (beware the Nashville Hot is an oil & chili base that gets hotter as you eat it, so unless you're into super hot foods or crying while you eat, go with the house). The chicken tenders were larger than usual (which to me means it is more like actually chicken breast cut into tenders rather than rinky dink pieces), lightly breaded but still a good texture, and they were moist, tender and flavorful. They didn't overdo the sauce so the flavor combos were just about perfect and they were the right amount of heat. The shoestring fries were crispy and well-seasoned. I ordered the large ChopChop salad. I appreciated that it was all mixed up and cut into small pieces (I usually make a huge mess trying to cut up the salad). I didn't need much dressing since the peppers and tomato mix kept the salad from being dry. The mozzarella cubes were perfect and it was a flavorful salad. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Live music which is nice, but just a tad too loud to have a conversation without yelling. Cool ambiance...outdoor and indoor seating. It all just flows together. I'm not a big beer person, but on this occasion I tried the Crispy Blonde. The name was enough to get my order. It was served icy cold (hooray) and was a nice light draft beer. We tried the jalapeño poppers and the wings. Not impressed with either. Perhaps the menu items are better. A cool place in downtown Chandler. Most beers here are served in a can. Great new addition to downtown Chandler. We had a little bit of a wait on a Friday night (but well worth it ) because of the live music. Our table started with drinks, served in mason jars. I had the whiskey float, it was sticky sweet, I could only enjoy one. The blueberry smash was a hit at the table with several rounds being ordered. The pickle chips were lightly breaded and so good with a house ranch ($9) plenty to share. I ordered the catfish & chips ($16) it was really good, light breading on the catfish nuggets, I couldn't stop eating these house cut fries, it's a huge serving you could definitely split this entree. Service was great, live music was awesome, only thing missing was a dance floor and dancing. Hopefully soon we can all hop out our chairs when we hear our favorite song being played. This afternoon Jen & I meet our son Austin & his wife Kylene in down town Chandler for a C-10 Truck Show along with some other cool vehicles on display, before going we had lunch at The Stillery our first time, We had the Steak Sandwich with Fries and Austin & Kylene had a appetizer called jalapeño wontons very good along with a Spicy Chicken Sandwich & Mac n Cheese. We were planning on eating at a different restaurant but they were closed on Monday so we decided to give this place a try. Cool concept with live music every night. Lots of seating. My wife wanted to try some bourbon from their bourbon list. The first two she picked they were out of. Kind of a sad list of whiskeys for a place called the stillery. I had the "New" fashioned which is like an old fashioned but with soda added. It was pretty flavorless and disappointing. Could barely taste any bourbon in it. We ordered the Brusselspouts appetizer and it was pretty good. Decided to share a BBQ chicken pizza. It was just okay. It's worth a stop for the live music. It's not as good as when it first opened. The drinks sort of changed and they got rid of their meatball and cheese appetizer which was delicious! Last time I had the hot chicken pizza I said light sauce and not super spicy and it was swimming in hot sauce and so mushy I could barely eat it. Ambience is fun and the mason jar drinks are good but I feel like quality has gone down since its opening days a couple years ago. Still a fun location to dine at but I hope they bring back some of the og apps from the menu. read more

Okay... I wish I liked it here. The Stillery has such a fun concept and I love the different events they have. I also enjoyed the $2 mimosas. However, the food was just atrocious. My friend had a soggy pizza/ flatbread thing and I had the Benedict. It was gross to say the least. Our server was really sweet and I felt like she knew we didn't enjoy the food at all. New spot in Downtown Chandler! We stopped in here to grab a few drinks for my birthday. We arrived around 2:30/3 and it was relatively empty. By the time we left (a few hours later) it was definitely more crowded. ATMOSPHERE - They have live acts that play music Thursday - Sunday. They actually fly them in from Nashville. It definitely a country bar! DRINKS - I ordered the Blueberry Smash which was pretty delicious. My husband ordered a few IPAs they had available. FOOD - I went with the Chop-Chop. We went here on Saturday with some friends who were visiting from Denver and we were looking to show them the Arizona cowboy and cowgirl experience. Being poor planners for this sort of thing, we didn't make reservations days ahead of time to get a good prime slot. We called ahead and they said they could put us on the waitlist for 4:45PM, but the girl also said there is only an 80% chance she can get us seated inside. So we figured in the 20% chance we don't get indoor seating, we could go someplace else for backup as we found another option that looked good to everyone. The food here was pretty mid... not bad, but not worth coming back for in of itself. Half of us got the hanger steak and, while it was cooked properly, it just didn't have the flavor you would expect from that cut of meat. Everyone seemed satisfied by the food, just wasn't anything earth shaking. Kristen Merlin was on stage which was a nice touch for background music and she played a lot of Johnny Cash songs which is the only true form of country music there is. The music was loud, but not too loud for us on the other side of the restaurant, and the sets were short so you had periods where some decent conversation could be heard. The ambiance is exactly what you think it would be from looking at the photos. Some folks dressed up in cowboy boots and hats, but mainly Chandler Cityfolk here chatting with friends and family while listening to live music in the background. The service was pretty average and considering we didn't order any alcoholic drinks, we did feel there was a slight pressure to move us along after our meal was finished. I think the live music was the touch that kept the entire experience at four stars and not lower. In terms of achieving that cowboy experience we were looking for, I think Rustler's Rooste would have been better overall for out of town folks, but that requires a lot more logistical planning and waiting in line. read more

if I could give lower than a 1 I would. I have never left a review of anything ever until tonight. My wife and I went to The Stillery after our friends wedding in Chandler. We entered the bar around 10:30 pm and had a good time for about 20 minutes.. we went to the bar in the center to grab a drink and due to the lines being long, were waiting a little ways back into the seating area of the bar. While we were waiting for the line to move up, a bouncer (grey hair and beard, cowboy hat, and roughly in his late 40s early 50s walked by my wife standing in line and says "could you stand anywhere other than the middle of the floor!?". This is an awful and incredibly disrespectful way to speak to a patron standing in line at your bar to spend money... My wife was shocked and responded clearly flustered and pushing back on the comment. The grey hair and beard bouncer responded back, "you're out of here bitch"... to which I stepped in and said " you cannot talk to her like that a physically stepped in front of him. He had his hands on her while all of this happened which made it even more disturbing. After I stepped in to try to get him off of her, he stepped at me and said "you are out of here as well". This is beyond unacceptable and violation go human rights as well as bouncer conduct. We have been to this bar a few times before and enjoyed our time. To see this blatant misogyny and disrespect to paying customers is disgusting and we will never return and plan to do everything we can to bring this place down. We are disgusted. read more

The Stillery was good, but nothing great. We had no trouble getting a table during happy hour and the live music wasn't overwhelmingly loud. This seems to be a popular place with professionals who work in the area. My spouse had the whiskey float drink and really liked it. I had the sauv blanc and it was mediocre..not a big deal. They happened to have half off pizzas, so I had the Brussels sprouts pizza and my spouse had the bbq chicken. His was better than mine - I couldn't detect any bacon and hardly any caramelized onions, so that was a bummer. The good news is our server was friendly and attentive, so that made the experience better. read more

I really wanted to rate this experience higher due to atmosphere alone but I unfortunately can't after tonight's dining experience. Everything that was ordered from drinks to food took a very long time for a restaurant that wasn't that busy. Not sure if it was the waitress or the kitchen, but something was definitely off. The appetizers of the brussels sprouts and queso were pretty good (forgot pictures) and made me glad I ordered them to fill me up after receiving the main entrees. The BBQ chicken pizza was good for taste but had an ingredient on there that I asked to be taken off. After waiting what seemed like at least a half hour to get it, I wasn't trying to change it. The mac n cheese looked really good, I picked it after seeing someone next to us received theirs and was disappointed. What looked like a cheesy, gooey mac was dry and not a great texture at all. Everyone has an off night and I am hoping that's just what happened here, so I feel comfortable with a 3 star rating at this time. read more

We were in the area on Veteran's day around lunch, so we wandered around looking for a place to eat. We stumbled on this place and it looked fun and decided to give it a try. Mind you, this place is kind of like a Whiskey Row with live bands and a dance floor. So since none of that was going on, this review is only based on the food. We ordered a couple beers, one that was very interesting was called an Orange Julius sour. Really, pretty tasty. For lunch I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken. It wasn't my favorite, but it did have some nice heat. My wife ordered a burger, which was pretty good. All in all, a pretty good lunch; although a little on the expensive side. read more

This was definitely a cool place. I love this lively kind of restaurant in downtown Chandler! Honestly, I think of downtown Chandler as "Gilbert-lite" but it is starting to come around with upbeat, family friendly places like this! The food was good for adults but the chicken fingers were tough and the Mac and cheese was clumpy from the kids menu. Kids ended up eating mostly French fries. Oh well. My family and I went here tonight for my mom's birthday. I know it's hot outside, but if I am going to pay $350 for dinner I don't want to be uncomfortable the whole time. We were literally sliding around on our chairs. It was horrible. We were seated by the the windows but if you build a restaurant in Arizona and the walls are mostly windows you need to put fans up throughout the building not just by the dance floor. This place is crazy busy on a Sunday night with the live band. We were seated in less than 15 minutes. Our server was Cordell. He was fantastic. He remembered our orders and was extremely friendly. Then were told we can't hold our drinks while on the dance floor. So we complied. Finally were told that we were cut off and needed to leave because we were dancing and tried to order our second drink. I decided to try a new place a few weekends ago and went to Stillery. I sat at the bar and after the bartender finished visiting with he friends she finally came over and took my order. I had 2 drinks that were $12 each. As you can see on the receipt there are some other charges. A $0.60 "p206" fee and a $0.88 "processing" fee. There were no notices posted anywhere about these "fees" I refuse to go back or recommend a place that doesn't charge customers transparently. read more

We stopped in for an early dinner based on the recommendation of a friend and we're very pleased. The Stillery has a broad menu with many items that sound great. We started with the pretzel appetizer and it was very tasty. We also ordered the Mac and cheese with hot chicken on top and it was one of the best dishes I've had anywhere in town. We also had the hot chicken pie (pizza) and it was outstanding too. Also - a full bar, happy hour pricing, excellent service (hard to find these days). When I walked in and saw the stage with a cowboy on it, I thought the place may end up being too country for me. When the gentleman started singing, it wasn't too loud and he wasn't horrible. We chose the place for lunch because it has been a hot minute since we've had fried pickles. We also saw that the menu had a good selection of drinks. We ordered the fried pickles, the pretzel burger, and the tomato & pesto rustic pie. For drinks we got two mason jar cocktails, one was a whiskey float and the other was the strawberry rye. The fried pickles were awesome. The pizza is larger than you would expect if you are ordering for an individual, it is definitely something to be shared by at least two people. The pretzel burger was not my favorite. The mixed greens that came with it for decent and a good amount. Both drinks tasted good, but the whiskey float didn't really taste like a float. The strawberry rye is a little dangerous because you don't taste the whiskey. :-) Overall, I would come here again especially if I had visitors in town. read more

We ate the pizza before I ever considered taking a picture. My b. Went to the Nashville location in March and let me tell you: finding out that there's a location so close to me was the closest I'll ever get to pure unadulterated bliss. Not only will I be making the 5 hour drive from Vegas JUST for this pizza but I will be making it in 4 hours. Vibes are immaculate, dancing and live music was a trip straight back to Nashville, and the food was unbelievable. One con: on a busy night plan on waiting.
