The place was pretty clean, well decorated and looked promising. Then I ordered.... I ordered a steak, cooked Pittsburgh as I always do. I was then lectured by the owner about what that means and that there was no way I knew what I was ordering. My food came out, as it was handed to me I was told that the owner could put it back on if it was not cooked enough (apparently I still had no idea what I ordered). That made me irritated, I do not like being talked down to or talked to like I am stupid. I then cut into my steak.... It was medium rare! Don't get me wrong, the flavor was spot on. I did not much appreciate being lectured on why what I ordered was not what I wanted.... Then being served something that was not the correct temp and the snarky comments served with it. The owner is rude to customers and employees. He acts like you are bothering him when you ask him a question. The food is below average the prices are out of control. The floor is all torn apart and dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting filled with fly's. They still have there prices that say market price witch is a Lie look at other prices of other restaurants and compare them to the stockyard and you will see that they kept their prices up. Went out had a rib eye with to sides sirloin with to sides and three drinks it came to $78 the price at the stock yard would have been well over a hundred dollars. read more

Went to the Stockyard last night, party of 4. Will not go back again. Burger asked to be cooked well done, was barely medium. Nacho's with pulled pork, the pork was so cold in spots it may have been still frozen. Their so called cheese sauce has to be the lowest grade FAUX CHEESE ever...hardly any flavor to speak of. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese had the same ridiculous so called cheese sauce as the garlic knots, the Nacho's and the BBQ Mac and cheese. If your going to put out that poor of a quality food, why bother?? You can buy a pound of decent pasta on sale for .99¢, your crappy cheese sauce can't be more than a few dollars with a splash of hot sauce for your Buffalo Mac and cheese, REALLY??!!!!! Do you really think people aren't going to notice??? You are going to kill your business!!! You have the opportunity to have a great place to eat, but you are sadly going to fail!! Owner was arrogant with an attitude. Employees wandering around with no mask! But telling customers they must wear a mask. What's good for one is good for all! I usually enjoy going here during open mic nights since my friends host it. I came tonight for the first time since under new management and my experience was not great. The pizza was pretty good. The soda was pretty good but served in plastic cups. My boyfriend ask for a soda without ice and got ice with it. When I got the bill it was one price and I used my debit card. Then I got it back and I to sign for it, the price was a dollar higher. I confronted the waitress and told me it was because I used my debit card. Also she me next time if I want to use cash to use the atm machine. It is not clearly marked about a fee if you use a card to pay. Also, they won't book my boyfriend's band. The owner is a nice guy but he isn't a great owner of his business. We walked in the door , stood there for a few minutes until a bar patron made him aware that we were standing there. He than sits us at a table and we sat there for about ten mins before he even came back. Another couple got up and walked out because they said they had been waiting forever . His only has 1 waitress on, who disappeared for quite some time. The food is highly priced and so not worth the money. Bathrooms were filthy and no paper towels. This was our first visit to The Stockyard Public House. We arrived at 2:10 on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by the owner Dave who provided us service for our entire visit. Given the time of day there was only a few other customers seated at the bar. Dave was very attentive and personable for our visit. My sweetheart wanted to have a cocktail, Dave mentioned they were serving a Fuzzy Leprechaun (this being 3/18), she enjoyed it very much. For our entrées, I had the full rack of St. Louis style ribs, including two sides for which I had onion rings and sweet potato fries ($26). My sweetheart selected the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which is described as house sauce w/ bacon, lobster & asparagus ($25). The ribs are served dry with BBQ sauce available at the table, I found the ribs to average, they were moist but not fall off the bone tender. The onion rings I found light but saturated in fry oil, overwhelming the taste of beer batter. The sweet potato fries were enjoyable. The Lobster Mac and Cheese consisted of penne, cut asparagus stems (no tops) and a very small lobster tail on top, leaving the guest to remove the meat themselves to add to the meal. The cheese was not visible so if you are expecting a creamy Mac and Cheese look elsewhere. My sweetheart enjoyed the meal, the serving size was good but she felt it was not a good value at the $25 price point. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, I would recommend trying The Stockyard Public House yourself. read more

New blood- the new owners are passionate about what they are doing- I heard of all the new updates to be done. The new chef is wonderful. I highly recommend the steak n mashed potatoes. To die for! Stop in say hello to our new neighbors. Don't forget though Monday is take out only of wings n pizza for football season. Was driving through the area and pulled up Yelp- found this little spot for a bite. Very cute place. Nicely designed/decorated. Definitely thought there was room for improvement in the quality of food. The burgers were so very small compared to the bun, almost laughable plus the meat was very overcooked and dry. Not what you want to bite into. Enchiladas were okay. Rice was slightly undercooked & hard. But the flavor was not bad. I was slightly thrown off though - they were more like burritos than what I would consider enchiladas. I think of a cheesey oozey delicious mess when I think enchiladas. This was not that. To start off, we waited at least 10 minutes for our drinks. Ordered wings as an app they were just ok. Over priced for what they are considering they're probably cooked frozen from a bag. Our dinner took another 25 minutes to come out when the place had almost no one in it. My boyfriend never got one of his sides (it came after we were finished eating and getting our bill). I got the fried shrimp and for $18 I received 4 greasy puff balls, 4 lousy pieces of Untrimmed asparagus and about 15 onion rings. Now I'm not a professional but seriously 18 dollars for 4 shrimp??? We talked to the waitress who asked the chef and then came back with a shrimp that was apparently """hidden""" within my mountain of onion rings. We were told the meal was supposed to have 6 shrimp. Still 1 short? Even if it was actually there before she went to the back? Lastly, ordered a second round of drinks right when dinner got to our table and they never came. Unbelievably bad service and quality food, we've given this place at least 4 visits to get it right and are disappointed every time. $100 bucks down the drain. Do NOT waste your time here! read more

Great beer selection, excellent fried pickles, really dry weirdly dedicated brutally overcooked wings. I wish they used different batters for different fried items because the salt level is perfect on the pickles and terrible on the fried broccoli. I don't know where I land on the fridge cooled dip, which kind of creates a pleasing temperature difference on your mouth, but also, severely cools the food. I don't know. Def not terrible. Wish I could give it 4 stars because I like the place. The wings just sucked so much. So much. They don't even toss them in the sauce. Everyone is sitting with their coats on, good indication that the mgmt needs to turn up the heat. Food is disappointing. First time, had the haddock, three small pieces deep fried to a puffy piece, once you cut it realized there was very little fish. Tonight had the burger, nice burger, should have chosen the one on a bun. The burger really is on a waffle, not easy to eat since the waffle gets soggy and falls apart.
