I don't write restaurant reviews very often, but THIS place deserves one! I happened to show up on gluten-free night, and let me tell you... the pasta was hands-down some of the best pasta I've ever had. You would never guess it was gluten-free. And the desserts?! Absolutely out of this world. Honestly, just go for the pasta and stay for dessert. Or better yet, make a whole evening of it! I'd literally take the train into Boston just to eat here again. Visited the restaurant on a Sunday night for Sinatra night to celebrate my birthday. I was able to be seated at the time I arrived for my reservation even though my friend hadn't arrived yet. The tables for two people are in awkward spots around the restaurant, there are more seating options for larger groups. There is also a large bar area. The musicians were amazing, played many great hits. They also serenaded everyone celebrating their birthdays by mentioning everyone's names, which was a very nice treat. There was a table next to me that was also celebrating a birthday, they were given a free bottle of champagne. The server we had was also working the bar, he wasn't very friendly and disappeared a lot. The food took long to come out but tasted good. read more

We've been here a few times and have enjoyed Sinatra Sundays. It's cool that you can now reserve online. Tonight Rich DeMare was apparently unable to make it, so they got a replacement, Taylor Cormier, on short notice so the show can go on. He's not a great Sinatra impersonator...definitely gave Buble impersonator at times. It was fine though not what we expected and e missed the banter between Rich and Ron. The show also started 30 mins late and there was no communication as to why. The Ron Poster Trio is always solid. I really like the decor downstairs. It feels like an old timey dinner club. Some people have said it's gimmicky, but it feels well executed to me. The food is always excellent. The service is friendly and fast. I loved my ravioli and the garlic bread was perfectly garlicky and buttery with a bit of char to give it that homemade flavor. Risotto was a little salty this time and lacked flavor but was cooked well. We had a couple seasonal cocktails and I enjoyed them. read more

I came here for my birthday with a huge group of family and it was one of the best nights thanks to the food, service, and vibe of the place. The live jazz music was amazing and makes for a fun time to hang out and have a few drinks, eat. The staff was also so kind and accommodating with our huge group. Not worth the hype! Only giving this place 3 stars because of the waitress/server! Excellent service but the rest was not worth it. If it wasn't for the service I would give it two stars. Music was to start at 7 - did not start until 8:30. The dishes were okay but nothing to rave over. The waygu pasta was nothing but a pot roast over mac n cheese. read more

Visited from CA. Requested a good view and they gave us exactly that! Not to mention we were late due to airport traffic. Right in the center and LOVED the show. So cute for sure! My husband made a reservation for Sinatra Sunday or at least he thought he did. We were seated upstairs because the incorrect reservation. We weren't happy but, decided to deal with it. We had a small issue with an incorrect food order that was handled immediately. Thanks to Rob the General Manager he was able to turn our night around and we were very grateful. Cannot recommend the kids pizza class highly enough. My 6 year old niece had SO much fun and her pizza was delicious. Chef was wonderful with her ... even after she dropped her dough on the floor walking to the oven. Within seconds they had a brand new one on her board ready to be finished. We had a reservation at Capo for their sinatra sunday -- but upon arriving, the hostess informed us that two individuals were already at our table. Surprised, I stated that they were not in our party and had obviously taken our reservation. The hostess seemed bothered by us showing up to OUR reservation and stated that the people were there before us, so they cannot ask them to leave. The next hostess searched for a spot at the bar to seat us which was in between two couples. BOTH chairs were rocking from the leg ends being broken. We did not get a waitress except for one nice woman who gave us two drinks on the house, but no apology. Overall, I definitely would not recommend this restaurant unless you want shitty hostesses and okay food. read more

Wow! What a great evening which exceeded expectations. First, Natalya was a great help in getting us booked and arranging for a beautiful and delicious birthday cake . Amazing . We went with vanilla cake with lemon curd and cream cheese frosting . It was perfect and a last minute order . I wish I took pictures of the other food because everyone was happy and creative departures from the traditional preparations .. I had the scallops saltimboca which were perfect- they were wrapped in prosciutto - crispy on the outside and luscious on the inside served over pistachio pesto and cauliflower purée. I can't wait to order again . Others had the veal Milanese which is an amazing preparation of bone in veal chop . Again, they can't wait to go back . Others had chicken piccata - delicious and generous portion . The fig appetizer looked fabulous and they sopped up every last drop of sauce with the terrify garlic bread . Everyone was happy! The entertainment, Richie Dimare and company were fun and talented . People were dancing and enjoying the show . They really make the evening special . And, Sophia did an outstanding job with her service . We were a large group of 12 which is not always easy . She made us feel valued. All if the staff were professional and supportive . The name "supper club" and the pictures make this place very deceiving. I was in from out of town and my friends and I went out for drinks on a Thursday night. We tried to go down stairs but were told we had to eat dinner there to go down stairs. A friend of a friend knew the workers so we ended up getting down stairs. It was a dingy dive bar/club at best. The carpeted floors felt sticky and the dance floor was filled with people who couldn't stand straight. Would not recommend if you are over the age of 25 or if your sober. Couldn't imagine eating dinner at Capo just to be able to go downstairs. The only reason I gave it two stars was because I was one of those people on the dance floor and I had a decent time. read more

Wow, what a fun Sunday evening. First, the entertainment--The Ron Poster trio and vocalist Rich Dimare--was so great that arriving at 5:30pm and staying til 9pm passed like a flash. It didn't hurt that we had made rez in advance so we had great seats in the intimate space where we had dinner while we watched the show. And the cocktails and dinner were great, too. As was the service. AND the ambiance. I could go on and on. I had such a good time, and they have a great set up there, so I hope to go back. Very few criticisms, and all of them are beyond Capo's control: parking is tough. We were lucky and found a legal spot a block or two away on East Broadway. Not an inexpensive evening out, but when you consider a 3 h our show, drinks, app's, and dinner, you'd pay this at any decent place in Boston. I highly recommend this place, and the Sunday night entertainment. But I plan to go back for Monday night Comedy sometime soon. I wish Capo the best, and I look forward too my next visit. read more

Three of us had the following- Margherita pizza, Malfalde pasta, Chicken Parm. Each of the three were outstanding. Pasta was al dente. Chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Pizza was fresh and hot. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Servers were on the ball all through the entire meal. The interior is very charming. Huge bars. The concept is terrific and Capo upstairs is awesome. The execution is a little rough downstairs. The drink menu is a watered down version of the upstairs bar, the staff (though overwhelmed) just seemed confused and on very different pages. We were asked to move multiple times to make room for another reservation (that never showed) even though we had a reservation ourselves. The live music was fine, nothing special but they seemed committed to only playing a few songs at a time to make room for a "DJ" (guy picking songs at random and pressing play). If you're looking for a real city nightlife experience, this probably isn't your spot but they do have the same menu as upstairs and the wait/bar staff was mostly polite and the place was packed - might be worth checking out if you eat upstairs. read more

My husband and I went to Capo supper club last evening to attend the Frank Sinatra dinner show. We did not know what to expect since we've never been to the restaurant or the dinner show before. Walking down the stairs to the basement where the dinner show was located felt like we were walking through the Goodfellas scene in the movie which was so cool. The food was absolutely wonderful mirrored by service that was just as wonderful. I highly recommend the food at Capo as well as the Frank Sinatra dinner show. You won't regret it. read more

Slow service, over priced, awful food. I will rather spend my money somewhere else! Probably understaffed, server was sweet but no where to be found. We order full size pasta and it canes pretty much half of the plate. All the pasta was over cook and super salty, not sure how you messed up Alfredo which one of the most simple dish. Wait for 45 minuets for our food to come out. Told the server, and she didn't do anything about it, and can't even find a manager. Probably one of the worst restaurant experience ever, super disappointed. Was recommended by a good friend of my and will never come back! read more

Cavernous space of brick and double bars. Came for brunch and found it reasonable. Not enough servers on the floor and getting water or coffee is a chore. The Bombolino donuts are a lot of fun and tasty with the creme anglaise drizzled on top. The steak and eggs were tough and not worth it. The calzone with eggs and sausage or prosciutto was pre made dry and un memorable. Additionally it was served with a overly hot tabasco esqe type of vinaigrette which was awful and misplaced. The french toast was moist and overly saturated with fruit. The sausage egg and cheese is a super thick sausage so be prepared. Not real sure what to say.... made reservations for Monday night comedy show and dinner. If you you look at the site it would appear this is a better venue with food and entertainment- including a dress code. We arrived at the restaurant and were directed to the lowers floor. No one was there - no host no one. Attempted to get the attention of a waiter to be seated - nope. Stood at the bar for 15 mins the bartender literally stood there - not making drinks, not helping -just standing. So, we simply left - extremely disappointing. At this point I was pissed and hungry. So, we opted for a table in the main restaurant. The server while very nice checked on the table twice? I have to admit I was impressed with the food, much - much better than I had expected after our arrival. Scallops perfectly seared and the risotto was on point. Drink? My maritni had ice floating in it. For two people - shared app, two mains and three drinks - 115...while the food was actually quite good the experience was not congruent for the price and service - significant failure. read more

I'll start by saying that if you are from the area and know what this place is already then you probably won't be disappointed. IF, however, you are not from the area and are basing your venue pick based on their marketing then you will be sorely disappointed. We were looking for a restaurant that also had entertainment for my mother's 60th birthday which is how we came across the Capo Supper Club and it seemed to check all the boxes. Food? Check. Entertainment? Check. A cool looking space? Check. Appropriate for this type of event? (according to their website) Check. The space was cool, though if you google Capo Supper Club, the photo you'll see with the little tables with the nice white table cloths (which admittedly is not from their site) is not what you will get, at least on a Saturday night. The service was fine and the food was delicious. But the vibe itself and the appropriateness for what we were looking for was definitely not. You wouldn't know by the need to be in by 7:00pm (or they give your table away), the time the show starts (8:30pm, which is early), the type of entertainment they advertise, or the fact that they call it a SUPPER CLUB but this is not appropriate for anyone over 25. They should just call it what it is - it's a club - without the Supper portion. It started off well enough - we had a reserved table and got drinks and food and everything we had was very good. The band came on at 8:30 and did their first set and it was really fun - not the type of music I would have pictured for a Supper Club but we just assumed it was a more fun, less stuffy Supper Club and had a good time dancing and singing a long. It wasn't until the band finished their first set at around 9:30pm that we realized things had gone down hill. Suddenly the place was packed with drunk 20-somethings and was getting rowdier by the minute (still surprisingly early for this.) The bathrooms went from OK, basic bathrooms to absolutely destroyed - there was someone vomiting in the trash barrel in the men's room and women coming into the ladies' room completely exposed on top! Shortly after both bathroom incidents we decided to call it a night much earlier than we had intended and got out of there. I believe the band was supposed to play another set but we were gone by then. I can't judge the 20-somethings out for a wild Saturday night. I'm still in my 20s and this probably would have been a great place for a night out with friends my own age. BUT where we were disappointed was with what was advertised vs what was reality. They just didn't match up and we would not have chosen this for our particular event had we known that. However, due to the lack of reviews here, all we really had to go off of was what the venue advertised and it seems like they need a reality check. read more

Some of my funnest nights in Boston were at the Supper Club. The bands are incredible and their dj is the best I have ever seen in my life! You will not want to leave the dance floor. I have been on many occasions and would highly recommend it for a girls night, date night or private event! read more
