This was definitely a little hidden gem in the heart of South Beach! Completely unassuming from the front entrance, the inside is welcoming, with a garden-y feel around the room. We sat at the bar (my party gravitated there, yes they did) and the service given to us by our bartender (I swore I would remember his name) was attentive and genuinely pleasant. As we got to talking with him, he told us a bit about the place - it is part of the Metropole Hotel - and suggested we take a walk to the back patio. The photos were accidentally deleted from my husband's phone (thanks babe!) but I can only describe the place as a quaint little indoor lounge in the front and an outdoor lounge/paradise oasis in the back, fully equipped with fans & a mini-pool for cooling off on those extra hot days, and a large tiki bar with speakers playing good Neo-Dance vibes. There's plenty of cushioned seating out there too, so once we got comfy we literally just spent the next couple of hours just lounging & enjoying the mood, the scene, and the amazing weather. The food was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced (for South Beach!). The menu is also nicely varied with items I can't wait to try next time! I fully can't wait to go back for a fuller overall experience one day. My gut tells me I'll be impressed again, and I will definitely update this post - with oasis & more food pics - after my next visit!!! I wasnt feeling this place. The service shoddy, although the guy was nice. The food was very average and forgettable. My burger was juicy, but thin-ish and unseasoned. I'm not even going to bother with the list of what makes a good burger, cause this place doesn't even come close. The Arugula salad was good with good dressing. That's it. My mother and I stayed at the hotel connected to this restaurant. It's a nice open space. They have a mixture of booths and chairs. It's pretty dimly lit and they rely on natural light during the day. If both doors were open and there's a nice breeze blowing it's very therapeutic. They play an eclectic mix of music. But I only enjoyed Sunday when they played Afro beats and other Caribbean music. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to the hotel. The "front desk" is a host stand at the doors of the restaurant. There's outdoor seating in the front and back. The back has a little couch area and a kiddie pool. They call it the tiki bar. It was clean the service was overall good. One of the male bartenders' mouths was a little too slick for my liking. The first time we dined we got the NY-style pizza with pepperoni, calamari and a burger with fries. The pizza crust was too thick to be considered NY-style but the taste was excellent. The pizza itself was cooked unevenly and would've benefitted from being turned, especially if they have a brick pizza oven. It seems like they did base on the taste and coloring of the side that was cooked to my liking. The menu said San Marzano tomato sauce. Which is how I make my sauce and my fav tomatoes to use. However, the sauce was not there. It was only crust and cheese. If they did put sauce it was very little and dried up during cooking. My mom and I both didn't taste it. The dough had more flavor than the cheese and the pepperoni could've been saltier or cut thicker. When I added crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and grated parmesan cheese it tasted better. If I had to rate it. I'd give it a solid 6.5/10. My mom enjoyed her burger. It was a good size and came with a ton of fries and usually cole slaw which they were out of so they let my mom get a side caser salad. The salad and fries were great no complaints about the burger. The calamari was okay. I've definitely had better. But it was fresh, crispy, and tender. The marinara served with it was divine and I dipped my pizza slice in it as well. On another occasion during their happy hour. We just got the nachos. First for the price, I wanted more tortilla chips. Honestly, I wanted more everything cheese, meat, and pico de gallo. They were very skimpy. The menu said it came with hot sauce. But there was no spicy element to the dish. I asked the bartender for jalapenos and she said they didn't have any. I definitely make better nachos at home and have had better nachos for cheaper. The cocktails were pricey and didn't seem worth it to me. So I stuck to seltzer. Our server seemed like she was from NY. She checked on us sufficiently. Answered our questions and ran back and forth to get things. I wasn't as annoyed with the mandatory 20% they automatically tacked onto the bill (14% gratuity 6% service charge). What kills me is they still have the audacity to put a tip line on the card charge slip. If I wasn't staying here I wouldn't have eaten here. If I'm in Miami again I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here. Their prices are overall ridiculous $75 for hookah. $60 for fish bowls. I also didn't like them allowing locals to sit at their outdoor seating in front of the restaurant trying to hustle guests and people walking down the street with three-card monte. Good food. Friendly service. Low key place to have a meal and escape from the crowds on ocean drive.

The evening bar and nighttime staff are very friendly and overly accommodating. Great experiences until we decided to try their restaurant. Had brunch here because the menu had many gluten free and allergy friendly options. The business was under staffed. The main waitress was rude when politely asked about alternative milk options for a latte and then rolled her eyes to another employee. Food took a while to receive. All dishes ordered contained egg shells in the eggs... something I have NEVER experienced at a restaurant. The orange juice says "freshly squeezed" on the menu and tastes like Publix orange juice. The waitress was asked for salt and pepper and never delivered it after being asked 3 times. We weren't impressed and the food wasn't fantastic either. read more

Came here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning aka on my birthday! Very cute vibe & wanted to sit inside because the sun was beaming way too hard to sit outside. I ordered the tavern breakfast because it came with literally everything I like for breakfast plus coffee and oj for only $16! Super key! I got cappuccino instead of coffee and Jiana made it sooooooo GOOD!! Plus she was super sweet& the best sever to me and my party. We had a fabulous time here! read more

Good food and even better drinks. This is a nice spot in South Beach to just unwind and relax with friends, pregame or stop by after a long night of partying on the beach. The music selection just adds to the ambience of this place. The staff is courteous and the manager is attentive to everyone's needs. I will definitely keep coming back. read more

Absolutely LOVED the truffle fries!! Also ordered two "medium" margaritas one passion fruit and one spicy mango, they were delicious and HUGE!! The service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive. We stopped here for a meal on our recent visit to South Beach. There is a pizza shop right next door that apparently is somehow a part of this place. Our waiter did not tell us that, but told other patrons who arrived later. The food was fine, but the service was lacking. Our waiter did not come check on us after our meal was served to inquire if we wanted another beverage and I had to go search for him to get our bill - no one behind the bar - he was sitting at an interior table checking his phone. read more

I've never written a review but we went here today and ordered food and sat waiting for it for over an hour finally the waiter came with 2/3 of our meals and said "sorry we don't have the other entree you order" instead of telling us immediately after.... the food all came freezing cold and the pasta we ordered had no sauce we had to leave after waiting for so long. read more

I was very disappointed with everything, I don't even know where to start. First and foremost online they offered brunch, but when we got there they only had a lunch menu. When I asked the waitress for the brunch menu, that's when I found out they don't serve brunch. The service was subpar, we had to call attention to the waitress many times for things we previously asked, and food took long to arrive even though the restaurant was not busy. Secondly, there was a manager/host who was sitting by the door on a laptop having a personal conversation and cursing very loudly...I thought that was very unprofessional of him. The food was OK, nothing to rave about...the calamari was very salty, and the plates of food were very small. At times we couldn't hear each other either because the music was too loud or the manager/host was just having a personal conversation loudly on the phone. I will never go there again, and I will never recommend this place!!! read more
