[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lets start with not a fan of mall restaurants BUT I will make an exception for this one nice upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say our server was very friendly bur we were at changeover so it was a bit slow after the meal was served she was waiting tables and bar tending "manager take note what your customers are saying " but we had the bang bang shrimp VERY GOOD! VERY GOOD.! Had to say it twice . The cost is very reasonable considering prices these days then for the main we both had the french dip it was big hot and excellent the only caveat was the au juice was weak like watered down weak the need to step that up.I also had the jalapeno mac and cheese probably the best I have ever had hands down and the portion was massive enough for 3 easily 5 stars on the mac and cheese but overall the place is a very good choice I will be going back just for the Mac and cheese fyi the mac and cheese was only 5 bucks outstanding value

The Tavern Grill: 5 stars for Independence Day! To celebrate Independence Day, my Family and I decided to try a new restaurant and The Tavern Grill was a great choice! From the moment we walked in we were impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere at The Tavern Grill is really cool and beautiful. Every detail was perfect for a holiday dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was awesome too. She was super nice, attentive and added to the overall good vibe of our meal. Great service makes a big difference and she was a big part of why our experience was so good. And the food! I loved the waffle fries - perfect and delicious. But the house-made Ginger Ale was the real winner for me. It was so refreshing and had a unique flavor I really liked. Overall The Tavern Grill exceeded all expectations and was a great choice for our holiday dinner. I highly recommend it for a great meal, beautiful setting and top notch service. We'll be back!

First time here and everything was delicious. The garlic aïoli from the smash burgers were my favorite combination!

DO NOT EAT HERE. The wax paper was still on my cheese in my turkey club. Manager was not helpful and still made me pay for my side but just took my sandwich off the bill. Would not recommend

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch or happy hour. The food is always good and consistent. I definitely have my favorites! The service is good and staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is decorated nicely and very clean.

    spicy cranberry mocktail

Came here for a birthday dinner and the food was pretty middle of the game. I got the thai chicken salad and it definitely needed more dressing. It tasted super fresh and the portion size was very generous. I also had a spicy cranberry mocktail and that was probably to highlight of my time. The service was good, the server was very attentive and checked in on our table at the appropriate times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was your typical american "grille" vibe with booths, low top tables, and bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    The drinks were exquisite

This is my type of place. You cannot beat a build your own burger. And with the waiter's recommendation it was perfect.

I'm sad to see this restaurant go down hill lately. We came here recently and everything was just a bit off. Now I am giving them some slack because it was dinner on a weekend but still very subpar experience. We tried the "bang bang shrimp" appetizer and I am sad to say it was one of the worst things I have been served in a restaurant in a long time. First of all, visually it did not look like an appetizer; the pile of rice and veggies seemed very out of place. More importantly, and I am not trying to sound dramatic, but it tasted revolting. There was something very unpleasant that I can't put my finger on, either the actual shrimp or the breading. We brought it up to the waiter, he sent the manager over and nothing came of it, not even an apology and she couldn't even tell us what ingredients they use in the breading to figure out the possible cause of the foul flavor. The entrees were much better, although we waited close to an hour for the main course. I am glad I chose to have Alfredo sauce that is usually drizzled on the skewers on the side because that is an odd choice with skewers and it didn't taste good. The Beure Blanc chicken was good and the sauce on that dish is excellent, however the rice that was served with everything we ordered was just ok and the asparagus was flavorless and dry. Maybe we expected too much of this place, idk.. we will be back but to be safe will stick with drinks and waffle fries and basic bar fare.

Great service and great food! Love the build your own burger option. Tried something new this time, the chicken wrap, and it was delicious!

We met some friends for afternoon drinks but the quality was lacking for me. The decor was an upscale tavern, as was the food. I enjoyed that they had a QR code leading diners immediately to an allergen menu! Unfortunately, while there was a variety of gluten-free options, those options also included soy (severe intolerance) so I stuck to drinks. The cucumber basil gimlet was alright. It tasted heavily of cucumber with a hint of gin but the basil was undetectable. As for the spicy mango marg, it was not good. It was heavy on the jalapeno, light on the Tito's, and mixed with a watered-down wannabe mango mixer. I would recommend sticking to the tap cider selections or wines, my gluten-free foodies.

Pretty good. Reminds me of a typical bar/restaurant with decent food. Space seems a bit blah, but they can fix that pretty easy.

We took a few minutes to order as the age range of our group was 12-73 years of age. The waitress was kind, and patient as we ordered. After ordering the food came quickly. We had a variety off the menu ranging from Salad to rice bowels and three different types of burgers. The Food and service was excellent! The manager came and asked how the meal was and was very pleasant. Prices were reasonable and portions were huge. I highly recommend this establishment and we will come back again.

The atmosphere is bright, cheery, and enthusiastic -- although perhaps a bit loud. But then again, it's a sports bar with more televisions than Best Buy. The service was extremely friendly, professional, and competent. All of the waitstaff were hard working and very attentive. Our waitress can around often to bring pop refills and to check on us. The food was typical sports bar faire, but well done. We did not go for the July Bloody Mary of the month ($30!) (see photos), which came with more food than a full day's outing at the Minnesota State Fair. Instead, my wife had been and the Jumbo Bacon Cheddar Chive Tots ($13), which were filling and tasty. The tots were stuffed with bacon, cheddar cheese and chive, and served with aioli. I had the Traditional Bone-in Wings ($16.50) with two sauces - sweet chili, and sticky garlic gochujang. Although both were flavorful, my personal preference was for the sweet chili. All of the wings were juicy and cooked well. I also upgraded to a very large portion of beer battered fries, which were shoe-strong fries. They were cooked well - not greasy or overcooked and very tasty. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal.

Copperwing is a working distillery, and the bar is not embellished to whisk you away from that environment. I like that. Copperwing has a place of its own amongst the thousands of drinking holes in the Twin Cities. You're imbibing in a distillery, but at a bar with a mixology and a bites menu. The cocktail list is interesting, and what I drank was delicious. I also drank shots of some of the different booze Copperwing produced. (It was a lot of liquor. The next two days were rough, and stupidly, we went to another distillery afterwards. I will never learn, and I'm 75 years old.) Liquor is like wine. We all have different tastes and palates. I liked one of Copperwing's vodkas, but not the other. Several of their offerings have won national awards. That's something everyone in Minneapolis can be proud of. Jack was our bartender, and he was gracious and accommodating. I will return to Copperwing Distillery soon, but will drink with more wisdom, sticking to one kind of booze and will drink lots of water.

We had cocktails to start and they were crafted well and delicious. I had the pink 75 and it was not overly sweet but was refreshing. We also shared the Caesar salad. For our entrées, we had the roast chicken and the beef tenderloin, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert, but the Bananas Foster our neighboring table was enjoying looked spectacular. Perhaps next time I'll save room. The only downside is that it does get quite loud as the restaurant gets busy. On my next trip to the Minneapolis area, I'll certainly be back.
