This place has great thai food in a unique atmosphere. We always end up there at lunch time, so we can take advantage of their great $6.99 special. Just the right amount of food for lunch. The curries are delish. The chicken and potato curry is wonderful. The green curry is just as good. I love their spicy shrimp soup. My 4-year-old daughter loves the Tender Touch Chicken. They are very accomodating if you want something changed. We've never had an issue with changing a meat, increasing or decreasing spiciness. And on our last visit, the waitress remembered that I found the thai tea just a little too sweet on our last visit. She watered down the tea a tiny bit and it was just perfect. I have been wanting to try this Thai restaurant for awhile now and I wish I would have visited this place sooner! The location is right on the corner of Sierra Highway and W. Milling Street, it's right across from the Lancaster Metrolink Station so there are a lot of people around the area. Parking is in the rear of the building and you can also park on the street of Sierra Highway but watch the parking signs. Walking inside the restaurant, we were greeted nicely. This place has two separate dining rooms to eat in which they let you choose where you want to sit. One looks more like a diner that is very lit and the other is a bit closed off that is kind of dark inside. Service is very friendly and accommodating to what you want and is usually on top of things. The food has always been great and comes out hot. We have ordered the chicken wings (not for us), spring rolls (must try), sour shrimp soup (too sour for us), chicken and beef jubilation (very flavorful), and Ka Pow (tastefully done). Prices are pretty good but they do reflect the portion size. Great food, quiet restaurant with good service. We have our favorites but will try other menu items eventually. read more

I love this place. It is close to my house, super cheap, got a great hole in the wall feel and the food is pretty good. The dishes have some creative and funny names as well, there is funky decor and distracting paintings all around. The servers are always pleasant and friendly. I have had a number of the seafood dishes, curries, pad thai, appetizers and have had not had anything bad so far so it's a safe bet anything on the menu you won't be dissapointed when you take into account the reasonable prices on the menu and the location. read more

In short, one of my favorite places to eat in town. This place has excellent food for the low prices they offer. They have a lunch special for just under $7 where you can choose one entree, and get a day-of-the-week soup or salad, and rice. I have not had anything I didn't like from this place and I have tried a huge section of their menu now. I often try and eat as healthy as I can when I go to this place, but I have to admit some of my favorite things here are the curries and fried wantons with cream cheese and sticky rice with mango though (not exactly listed in my diet). When I want Thai, this is where I go!!!! Nothing else compares! The food is EXCELLENT and the service is EXCELLENT TOO! They are so quick to serve. I never have to wait longer than 20 minutes for takeout, and when I'm dining in the food is right there! I have loved every meal that I've tried. Spicy noodles, ginger chicken, sweet and sour pork, beef jubilation, wontons, curry!!! Love them all. But be sure to top it off with their dessert! Overall the restaurant was nice, and it seems to be very much true to traditional Thai food (I think). Not being especially well versed on Thai food though this may or may not be accurate. From our lunch experience though the service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant seemed clean. We tried the wings for an appetizer which were cooked well, and had an interesting sauce. Not bad, but I would describe it as a thin ketchup with an orange tang. We tried the beef and broccoli which wasn't very good. The sauce was very thin, and the meat was tough and bland unfortunately. We also tried the yellow chicken curry which had a tasty sauce, but once again the meat was overcooked and pretty dry for chicken. The flavors were good, and paired well with the rice though. One thing we both liked was the consistent use of coconut milk throughout the dishes which isn't found often in other types of cuisine. Our first Lancaster visit and we were in the mood for thai food. As we walked in, it looked old and funky, but the waitress took us through the door into a whole different seating area that was so unique that I was glad we had gone there. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was just okay. We ordered the following: 1. Sour Shrimp Soup - not one of the best Tom Yum Goong I've ever had. Missing lemongrass flavor and the mushrooms were very hard and chewy (eww). 2. Steam Rice - can't ever go wrong with this one! 3. Delicious, They Say (pork dish) - this was good! Best plate out of the rest of the stuff we ordered. 4. Pad Thai - just okay. Nothing special about it. In fact, it tasted lemony. 5. Thai Iced Tea - delicious! Very refreshing! We ordered the large size and it was well worth it. To be fair, my bf enjoyed the Pad Thai better than the pork dish. Just different taste buds, I guess. This place was AMAZING! We came to Lancaster for a mini vacation to see the sights, and I found this place on Yelp since we had no clue what was in the area. Their menu is cute, their names are original, like Private Dignity Chicken (*wolf whistles*) and their food was the bees knees. We ordered the sticky mango rice, which was amazing. Everyone was super happy with their food. It looks like a small hole in the wall from the outside, but it was seriously the best Thai food I've ever had. I wish it wasn't so far away! I like this place. The pad see iw is sooooo delicious. There are nice thick they're full of flavor the chicken is plentiful so you actually feel like you're having noodles and chicken and not just a plate full of dry noodles. I really enjoy the seasonings and the ambiance is really nice have really great artwork on the walls. At first when you first walk in it looks just regular but then when you're going to dine in and walk around the corner and then you like engulfed in a little bit of history there is artwork, the basis candlelight it is really nice. Music also plays in the background. Oldies. I think I jus geard Sam cook, and now Odis Redding. So cool. Crazys part is the hours of operation changed and I think we arrive exactly at the time that they had me open for the second half of the day its 4:30 and the books have not arrived yet and he encouraged us to to order appetizers that were not going to be comped. That part kind of threw me off because I was not expecting to order are having to pay for appetizers I was ready for the main course and it was kind of a delay but fortunately the cooks came in before we had to buy any appetizer. In my humble opinion, The Thai Restaurant in Lancaster, has the best Thai food in the AV. Always fresh, always fast, always consistent. My favorite is the Chicken Enlightenment with mint leaves. Very flavorful and light, so you leave satisfied, but not too stuffed. They also have great lunch specials and its a great place to have lunch or dinner, that's off the beaten path. It's right on the corner of Milling, which is just one block south of Lancaster Blvd, and Sierra HWY. Don't leave without trying the Mango Sticky Rice and of course, the Thai Iced Tea. read more

I want to start this review off by saying I really like this restaurant. I always get the shrimp jubilee. I've tried the veggie egg rolls, veggie soup, and wontons, all very delicious. Tonight I got my favorite, the shrimp jubilee, but the shrimp was terrible. Like literally terrible. The shrimp was mushy, grainy, and half deveined. Just based all the other times I've had great experiences with this restaurant, I will patronize here again. However for as expensive as my dinner was tonight, I expect better quality of shrimp. read more

This is one of my favorite places for truly GOOD Thai food! They seriously have the best tasting yellow curry...I've never tasted better! Everything we've ever tried has been fantastic! Ann and her staff (Usually family members) are all wonderfully dedicated to their service and your experience while there. While the building is old and full of historical character, they have brought in some cool pieces of art creating an old meets new environment. I believe this a must try restaurant! read more
