We were in Lancaster for the races at Willow Springs and looking for a place to eat. My wife picks up the phone, and Yelp and Google Maps brought us to this kind of odd location near the train station and post office. At night, the restaurant looks like the only thing there, on a dark sort of empty street with old buildings, almost sad but for the light from the aptly named The Thai Restaurant. So, our hopes were not high despite the Yelp reviews but we ventured inside. We were immediately greeted and in no time food arrived and I must say, it was excellent. The standout was the spicy eggplant, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. The Pad Thai tasted sort of fresh and vibrant! Everything was tasty and the service was great throughout the meal. We usually get take out but when we saw delivery we were thrilled especially since we're way out on the west side. We placed our order, est delivery time was 45 - 50 mins for our order of spring rolls, pad thai, golden fried rice, spareribs & golden red curry. It arrived in 40 mins and the food was still steaming hot!! Nothing spilled, packaged well & plenty of condiments and again piping hot. Everything was delicious! Spring rolls were crisp, not greasy. Ribs had great flavor, tender, saucy and not fatty. Golden rice and pad thai were delicious. If i had only 1 complaint it was that the pad thai needed a bit more sauce, probably soaked it up in the 15 min drive from Sierra Hwy to 60th West. However can i say it enough, my food was delivered HOT. Loved, loved, loved the curry!! 1st time we tried it and it was rich, creamy but not heavy! Delicious coconut flavor, sweet with the pineapple and then you get that pleasant follow up of heat, moderate was exactly what was described and delivered. I came here at 4:30 when they open for their dinner service and ordered garlic pork, egg rolls, the golden wings, and chicken fried rice(I wanted the bbq chicken, but of course they were out). I had my usual Thai Yellow Curry here with my grandma and mom. We were so tired from running errands all morning, and the humidity. Coming in here was really refreshing. We didn't see the lunch menu right away, and wow, what great pricing. About $7.45 before tax for lunch specials which includes rice and a soup or salad. You can add fried rice for another $1. It's an older restaurant, which makes it look more authentic. It's not one of those super contemporary minimal Asian type of restaurants. I wish the parking was more designated. There was a parking lot in the back near this business/industrial building but there were no signs that we couldn't park there so we just did. The bathroom was kind of small but clean. I'm glad there are a decent amount of Thai restaurants in the area. I'm surprised. My mom moved to Palmdale last year, and we're still learning the area. Yes!!! Came in afternoon and was immediately greet and seated by the nicest lady. We came in during the lunch special and I ordered the beef Panang curry and I asked to make it as Spicy as possible and she gladly obliged! My girlfriend ordered the green curry and substituted the meat for tofu and they made it happened! First came out my fried Thai spring rolls that came with pickled cucumbers and fish sauce which is delicious! Then after our sour Tom yum chicken soup came and it was deliciously sour and we love it! Lancaster, CA Recently, I was at a job site. Which brought us to this restaurant. I ordered the Bamboo Chicken, with no chili. Oh wow, I couldn't believe how amazing my lunch was. The bamboo was shredded. It was very interesting. I have ordered a similar dish many times, at other restaurants. Other versions did not compare to this amazing dish. People are very friendly every time we have come in to eat or pick up our food. Came here for dinner with my wife on a Saturday. The restaurant itself is a beautiful cozy little place. I enjoyed the dim lighting and quiet conversations going on around us. We ordered chicken satay as an appetizer, golden rice (pineapple fried rice) and beef pad-see-ew as entrees, and I drank a Thai iced tea. I realize this is sweet on sweet on sweet, but these are our favorite Thai dishes and we wanted a feel for the place. The chicken satay was good, but not the best satay I have ever had. That distinction goes to The Green Papaya in Alhambra, CA. However, I'll stress that it was good and certainly the best I have had in the AV. The golden rice and beef pad-see-ew were both delicious and will certainly have me returning here when I crave Thai cuisine. All in all, The Thai Restaurant has the best Thai food in the Antelope Valley. My experience, while cloying (my fault, remember?), was very pleasant. read more

I've heard about this location for quite sometime. After all I learned it has been in this location for 16 years. My boyfriend and I eat Thai often so we decided to give out a try last wedneday.
