Dr. Jean Kang is hands down the best kids' dentist we have ever worked with, especially when it comes to tooth extractions. One of my kids needed teeth pulled three or four different times, and this was by far the best experience we've had. She had been traumatized by earlier dental extraction experiences and was extremely anxious going into the extraction with Dr. Kang. Dr. Kang was incredibly gentle, calm, and communicative throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain what was happening and made my child feel supported. It made the experience at least ten times better than anything we had experienced before. What I also really appreciate is her integrity. She does not push treatments just for the sake of it. If she doesn't think something is necessary, she is upfront and gives you honest options. At our last visit for my other child, we came in for a filling, but the tooth might have fallen out soon anyway. She explained our options, and we decided to skip the filling. This is the best pediatric dentist EVER. We have been going here for a few years now and recently my son has become sensitive to doctors and was very scared to come to his visit today. Hygienist Erica made our day. She joked around with him, let him touch all of the instruments and thoroughly explained everything before doing it. I can't recommend David Chin's staff highly enough. I brought my two-year-old daughter in for her first visit thinking that maybe we'd get her to sit in the chair for a second. She's young, a little fidgety, and currently in a "stranger danger" phase. But Dr. Chin's staff knew exactly what to do to make her feel comfortable, put her at ease, and really engage with her throughout the whole visit. This was my son's second time here. The staff is really nice and professional. The technician that cleaned my son's teeth did a great job and had good bedside manner. My son got a little scared from all the noises work being done on his teeth but he toughed it out. The technician showed him all the tools she was going to use and explained to him what they do. I think it made him feel like he was in good hands After the tech was done the Dr swooped in a did a final checkup. She was nice and friendly. I'm sorry I forgot everyone's names, they should be commended for doing such a good job. Parking is abundant and the office is easy enough to find. I remember after our first time here we wondered about some of the charges but I think it was because it was his first time. My daughter had a bad experience at the dentist's at the height of Covid (pre-vaccine) and having everyone in full PPE and air filters blaring was terrifying to her 6-year-old self. And they're stingy with the gifts they give the kids. Literally told my son they're doing him a favor by giving him a token for a cheap toy. Also, dr Chun saw my daughter for 3 mins just checked her teeth. No X-ray. No procedure. Just looked in her mouth and they charged $80 for this. There are plenty of other options and dentists in the area that will just take what the insurance pays and not try to shake the patient down for more. Poor service, and for what? Erica was so patient with my children - making sure they were comfortable and familiar with all of the tools before they even sat in the chair and was encouraging and accommodating. Making sure that they would have positive memories of the dentist so they would be more inclined to come back next time. Positive reinforcements with "tokens" and stickers and toys were used appropriately. Most of the time Erica saw them, but Dr. Aneri was as patient and amazing at examining their teeth. My two kids 9 & 3 had a regular teeth cleaning at this facility. And I was charged $558!! For teeth cleaning!! I asked for a detailed billing statement. And she was extremely rude. Her facial expression was telling me to " pay and get out, don't come back if I have no money to care for my children. I would expect this kind of price if I take my kids to a Beverly hill dental office with upgraded equipment and nice facility. But there is nothing fancy here, not upgraded equipments. This office is very organized and set up in a way that makes everything easy for parents as well as children. All the doctors here are amazing as well. Our three children have been seen by all four doctors who have each been great in their own way. My kids will request each of the doctors in rotation. I guess they miss seeing each of the them haha. Sadly for my kids, genetics and poor monitoring on my part has led to several cavities. Thankfully, all the treatments done for them have been done with great care and professionalism. I never feel uneasy while my children are being treated in the chair. The assistants we see most often are Erica and Andrea. They are very good with all my kids and have been working with my children for about five years now. I feel at ease when I continue to see a lot of the same faces in office.
