When I arrived I was greeted by a very nice young lady. I sat down solo and it took about twenty minutes to just get a menu and a Dr.pepper. Once receiving my drink, I went ahead and ordered 2 pounds of crawfish and 6 chargrilled oysters on a half shell. It took over an hour to get my food. When I received my food, the crawfish had zero flavor, the oysters were cold BUT they had been warm as the cheese had somehow melted. I shared my experience with the waitress and she stated that there was nothing she could do. The food was NOT good. I will say the live music in the corner was very nice and he was a good music entertainer. I do not recommend this place at all nor will I ever try it again. read more

I've been super excited to try this but unfortunately it was not a very good experience. The only person working the front wasn't very friendly and off-putting. She's probably tired because she's the only one working which I understand but it really made it awkward. When we received our food, it was lacking in flavor. We ordered a variety of things from the menu, so we could try everything but the only thing that wasn't flavorless / coated in salt to make up for the lack of flavor was the BLT. I don't know but it takes a lot for me to not finish a plate but unfortunately we will not be returning. read more

Ordered door dash chicken sandwich is $20 - the chicken was super thin, the tomato, lettuce, wilted, bread, floppy, and soggy- flavor bland. Cup of red beans just meh and hardly any rice given. Only thing good was queso. I don't recommend here. read more

Jambalaya. Never had lukewarm Jambalaya before. Wife's meal (soup) was served 15 minutes after my Jambalaya. So I ask the waiter, isn't the soup sitting in a large pot pre-made? His response, "I believe so". Hmm. They did apologize for the delay on the soup, but failed to an ask me how my meal was. This was our 3rd time in since the switch from EJ Wills. Frankly we only went tonight to hear Acoustic Mayhem! The food is way too salty. Our server was so scattered. The drinks were ok...nothing fabulous for the price. The best part of the night was the band and all of the TVs on different sports. They had a chef consultant who was everywhere except the kitchen most of the night. Whatever they paid him was WAY too much or they wouldn't have been putting that food out! This was our second time here. Interior gives a very rustic Cajun military vibe. The first time we played it really safe by getting catfish and fries (which was pretty good). This time we took a little risk. Being a full blown Louisianian I tend to stay away from Cajun inspired restaurants lol. The restaurant was pretty clean and with good tastes of decorations. Our food was great, service was just okay. I guess they are still new, some of their service crews are still either under training or not quite sure of a lot of stuff. They are not sure of prices, do not come back to re-fill drinks or ask if we need to add additional orders or have another drink. The food was great, we had crawfish. Update: I took another chance and called the restaurant again after posting this and I got the assistant to the owners who promised to take care of us. Stay tuned. My daughter at here and had a $20 lunch, but when she went and looked at her bank acct the next day, she saw that she was charged $50 She has talked with the manager several times, each time being told that the owners will call her, but they are yet to do that, even after a couple of days now. My daughter has told the manager of the overcharge and has asked for a copy of the receipt. That's when the manager said that the owners would call her. Be careful if you go here! read more

We ordered from Door Dash and sadly, the food wasn't very good. The chicken and andouille gumbo was too salty, had an odd flavor, and there was no liquid. The Natural turkey sandwich consisted of a pale tomato, a bit of iceberg lettuce, overcooked bacon, turkey, and sourdough toast that tasted like it was toasted on a griddle that needed cleaning. The hushpuppies were gummy on the inside and oily on the outside. My mom had the red beans and rice and said it was so spicy she couldn't eat it - She usually tolerates a high level of heat so this was unusual. We went to this place about a year ago, shortly after it had opened. It was pretty good at that time. We just went back and it must have changed ownership. We had seafood gumbo which was very bland, didn't taste like gumbo. Had one shrimp in it and a small piece of chicken. I had the crawfish etouffee and it too was very bland, thick pasty, had two small pieces of crawfish. We would have sent it back but we felt bad for them. I let that go. meal did arrive aprox 10/15 min later in which I sent it back as my family was near done with theirs and I was pretty upset at this time. waitress came over a few min later and stated there was a miscommunication in the kitchen. I advised at that time I sent the food back. and nicely stated I will not return. she then said "oh no problem I understand" and then looked to my family and said well I hope to see you guys back". my temp escalated at that point! I then said I cant believe a manager hasn't come over here to try and recover this situation she again repeated " I totally understand your not coming back and that's fine". I stated it's not fine this is ridiculous. again I was not irate or loud but had to leave to not get that way. zero attempts to recover poor service!! my family did enjoy the meal however. which is why my rating is a two and not a one,I will not return due to the horrible Service we received tonight. Stopped in to watch the game with my boyfriend and found my new favorite cajun restaurant. I had the shrimp and grits and he had the mahi mahi. I absolutely loved the shrimps and grits, it had really good flavor and was creamy and cheesy. I did try the mahi mahi and it was so fresh and i love that it did not taste fishy at all. Finally found, an authentic Cajun / Louisiana style restaurant here in North Dallas / Frisco Tx. area. I give Tipsy Crawfish 5 Yums my highest rating. This was our first visit today. The menu offers many different Cajun, Louisiana style favorites including BOILED seafood. We enjoyed the following Shrimp / crawfish bisque: The small serving was served in a large cup that my wife and I shared. The bisque was excellent, great blend of Creole flavors with a generous serving of shrimp and crawfish. Crawfish, Shrimp, and Catfish platter. The serving was large enough to share, all the fried food was fried to perfection. We had a side of slaw and the season fries both were excellent. I saved the best for last; I ordered 6 ea. Chargrilled OYSTERS. The oysters were "premium quality" and LARGE. They were grilled to perfection everyone was salty and delicious. The garlic butter and FRESH grated parmesan cheese were perfectly melted atop the oysters. These was as good as the world famous "Dragos Chargrilled oysters" we frequently enjoyed while living in Metairie Louisiana. The service is friendly and attentive to assuring you are enjoying your meal.
