Do not come here. They hustle you so that you have to buy a tire rather than fix it. You have to wait long just so they can tell you that. I've come here twice. Had great experiences here over many years, with both tires and auto repair. Did excellent work for very fair prices, each time. That's important, because we're a fixed-income household and money's very tight. My friend Roseanne recently brought in our old Honda '91 Accord when its radiator broke down, and we were amazed at how quickly they found a good replacement for it! Not easy to do sometimes, with an older car. Very grateful they got it running again so fast, because that's our only car & it means a lot to have safe transportation. Best deal anywhere. I know because I'm patient with calling several businesses before I commit to anything related to my car. The business itself is not clean in the lobby area. Pretty dirty. I know and understand it's a tire shop but I've been to many that are clean. My visits here have been less and less. That's a good thing considering tires should last you a good deal of time. I drive an average of 300 miles per week. So stretching my dollar on tires is a big deal. They also have a wide variety of used tires. I've also had tires patched up here. I ran over a large screw and they pulled it out and patched it right up. They will save you a lot of money. read more

went here because i had a nail in two back tires. i have gotten a patch at least 10 times in my life. they cost around 10$ ANYWHERE. and did so everytime i needed one in my past experiences. the man confirmed i needed a patch so i didnt ask the price. I WAS CHARGED 45$ for 2 patches!!!! this place ROBS PEOPLE. this is why the Stars are sooooo low. i recommend never to come here. and if ur in dire need get some free air from the gas station and drive elsewhere this place takes advantage of people. no moral dignity especially during covid hard times!!!! read more

Great tire shop, overall!!! Between hubby and I, we've had our tire pressure checked here, tires rotated, and flats fixed. All services were always done quickly and correctly, and the prices are really good. We usually visit after our usual dealorship check up. Whatever tire service they say is needed we'll have it done here. It faster and cheaper. Now, they say they deal with brakes, too, but I wouldn't go here for that particular service. read more

I brought my car back to have the alignment re-checked and talk to someone about the scratches. They admitted that the steering wheel needed adjustments and did make the corrections free of charge, but when it came to the scratches, the manager insisted that they had nothing to do with it and that it was impossible for his machine to cause the damage because the sensors never touch the rims, only the tires. I watched the mechanics place the sensors directly on the rim first, then clamp down on the tires. The sensors line up perfectly with the scratches as well. When I pointed out this, the manager began to become very angry, claiming that his machine doesn't cause that and going on about how much it costs and how it's the best machine in the area. He said that I don't have proof that it caused the scratches and blamed my rims because they were "the cheapest". He said he will not do anything about it and told me once they're done with my car, that I can leave. I'll be having a more reputable mechanic check on the work as I don't have any confidence left in this place. read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, bring your car/truck here for anything other than a flat tire replacement. Here is my absolutely horrible experience It was time for me to replace my front brakes on my truck and I wanted to stay local and support the local mechanic shop. So I took my truck in. The owner (Max) seemed nice at first. I paid an average price for new ceramic brake pads, rotor resurfacing, and labor. They said it would take a couple of hours because they had to take the rotors somewhere else to have them resurfaced. Ended up taking about 8 hours because they only had two mechanics and every time someone brought in their car for a flat tire or anything else, the one mechanic who was working on my truck stopped and gave the other customers priority. By all means, the mechanic was doing his job and I this review is not about him. The next day, I noticed that my front right brake was making a very loud and sharp squeaking noise. I took my truck back that day for them to fix it. Apparently, the mechanic said that there was a part damaged. They had no idea what that part was called (ended up being a spindle nut retainer). In addition, they did not have that part. The mechanic said he would jimmy rig the existing damaged part so that it would stop the noise. I said fine, no problem, as long as it stops. It didn't. I go back (this is now my third time there) a couple days later because of my schedule. The mechanic and Max try to figure out whats going on. Max informs me that I need a new "spender lock", inner and outer bearings, a seal, and a rotor. He said since the "spender lock" (spindle nut retainer) was damaged it damaged my bearings so they needed to be replaced. But since they did not have the spindle nut retainer, and apparently could not find one "anywhere" (I ended up buying the part for $2.50 at the local Oreillys less than a half of mile away) I needed to go to the dealer or wherever and buy it and bring it back. They gave me prices for the other parts which were extremely over priced and were going to charge me more labor as well. I searched everywhere for a "spender lock" (because that's how he wrote it on the paper he GAVE me to look for the parts) only to find out the real name "spindle nut retainer" a few weeks later. I buy ALL the parts he told me for $20 at oreillys when he was trying to charge me over $100 for all of the parts. I bring my truck with all the parts (4th time there) expecting to have them to replace the parts without charging me anything for the labor because, after all, this was a problem that occurred because they didn't have the a spindle nut retainer to replace the "damaged one" and now that damaged part caused damage to the other parts. Were they or did they not charge me for labor? Nope. The owner (Max) and myself get into a heated exchange and I end up paying for the labor. R I D I C U L O U S Andddd guess what, did the noise go away after all of this? after i bought the parts they told me to and paid for more labor? NOPE Mind you, my front right tire was not squeaking before I brought it in, and the front left tire was not squeaking after the change. So how should this be my responsibility? I told the owner (Max) directly that this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with any type of mechanic shop. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. So it should be no surprise to him once he sees this. Customer beware. Do not go here, search other places. read more

Worst service... I had my alignment done and they would not give me a receipt of how bad was my alignment. According to the I should of asked for it at the beginning. How was I supposed to know that. Other places they give it to you to see. They were going to have me wait another 45 minutes to get the paperwork of the work they already done.... read more

The Tire Shop has been great to me on two occasions now. I've had to go there twice for my mom's tires and each time they've been informative, quick, and thorough. Right after they take the tire off they show me how the damage is, give me a recommendation, and then let me decide what I want to do. If you're on a budget they have used tires too so check them out. They patch tires, have new tires, and have used tires. They always put air in the others tires too before I leave which I like. :) read more

I came in on 12/9/15 and had a flat tire fixed. When I told the guy what needed to be done he went straight to it. The problem is he damaged the rim pretty badly in the process. He struck the rim with the clamp and applied heavy pressure to it, rupturing the aluminum and bending the structure of it. I'm going to have to go back and see what happens but it's probably going to be a hassle at this point to have them owner be accountable for his negligence. read more

It's the worst place ever. I do not recommend this place for mechanic problems because it was here where I had the worst experiences because I took my car to this shop to change power staring pression hose and just to take it out they took 4 hours and they used their computer to look on YouTube to figure out how to take it off and after that I had to leave my car there overnight because they took too long and the next day when I came to pick it up they were still working on it. It was there when I saw that the car was leaking and they told us the car was ready but I asked them why the car was leaking, and they checked it and they said that the water pump was ripped, they didn't give us any solutions to fix it and to make it worst they had very gross and bad attitudes so I decided to talk to the owner but he wasn't there so the workers said that they didn't know when he was coming back. So I left the car overnight again just to talk to the owner about the ripped water pump because i didn't have that problem before and the next day we talked to the owner but the owner was just as bad as the worker threating me to pay up or he wouldn't give my car back. These are people who don't want reason with anybody and don't want to come to any solutions and the owner told me it was my fault so I had to pay extra more than we had agreed. So please be careful with these people because they fix one thing but ruin another one, and they don't make themselves responsible for anything. I don't recommend this place at all. Like read more

The Tire Shop is amazing!!! I had previously called around to get quotes from different companies but this place gave me the best deal so I saved $$$$!!!! I came in because I had a flat tire. It's a pretty big tire business on Pioneer Blvd. and family owned. The owner (Max) gave me a great price and he also noticed two of my tires were old and run down so he recommended I should replace those asap to avoid any accidents. He gave me a generous discount since I was a struggling student... I mean who seriously does that nowadays?!? This really meant a lot to me that a business owner is looking out for his customers AND he understood my financial situation. They changed my tires quickly. I used The Tire Store several times for tire repair, even bought tires from them, and I was always happy before. Recently, I found a nail in one of my tires. It was not leaking, but I thought I should get it fixed. I took the pickup, with the tire, to The Tire Shop & Auto Repair to get a patch. The tire was not flat and the truck was riding fine. Immediately after I left the shop, after the tire was repaired and put back on the truck, I noticed the tire was bumping. Later that day I took the car back and told them about the problem. I thought they probably displaced one of the balance weights and forgot to put it back. The store owner told me they didn't lose the weights and the reason the tire bumped was because the tire was wavy. He said it would not even help to balance the tire and they refused to fix the problem. They could not explain why the truck was riding smooth until they repaired the tire and it immediately started bumping. I don't know what happened, but I know something they did caused the tire to start bumping and they refused to make it right. I just hope the rim is not damaged or I find later that something bad is wrong. This is not good customer service and I suggest you use another tire store. read more

They may be great with tires, but my experience with brakes for my truck has been a nightmare! I was given a verbal estimate of $158.00, but I'm not stupid, I realize that an estimate is just that, and was ready for the price to go up. Early on I realized that this was out of my budget and asked Max to stop the work, which had just begun, put it back together and we would come back on payday. He stated he could not do this because it would not be safe. I told him I would sign a waiver that I understood the care was not safe, letting him off the hook. Again, he refused, saying he would "work something out" . Well, four hours and a total of $ 769.29 later , we left him a check explaining we had to get some money wired into our account and would be back in the morning. There were problems with getting the money into our account, but we had Max pounding on our door, calling our house every five minutes and since he knew my husband worked for the Sheriff's department, he went to the Norwalk Station at 9:30 in the morning and filed a complaint that we had written him a bad check. It almost resulted in our arrests. UNTIL the LASD found out there had been no written estimate and we had never signed any authorization for work. We keep telling him to STOP ordering expensive parts, i.e. $188.00 x 2, $ 75.00 x 2, and put it back together. We have returned the truck to Max for "safe keeping", however, Ford Financing is unhappy since the truck belongs to them, and we are without transportation and unable to pay the entire bill. We have still not seen the repair bill OR the used parts. We had planned to return at the end of the month for tired and an oil change, but now I think not. Next stop-BAR in Sacramento. There were too many shortcuts taken, and nothing was ever put in writing. Not a fun day. My advice-RUN!!!!!!!!! read more
