Nut allergy friendly! I've had several flavors of the chicken to go and it's always been fine. We generally order the Hot & Spicy Chicken and the Fried Crispy Chicken. Generally 4-7 pieces per person is sufficient, especially if there are sides. I really like the care they have in have a steam vent flap in the box. That helps prolong the crispiness of the chicken. Unfortunately, the Hot & Spicy does not travel too well. Even a 15 minute drive leaves it less crispy than desired, due to the amount of sauce involved. On the other hand, the Fried Crispy Chicken travels very well and maintains a nice crispy crunch even after 15-25 minutes of travel. A pretty solid option in the grocery food store!

FYI, the chicken takes 15 minutes to prepare so plan accordingly. Pretty delicious Korean fried chicken. I got the soy garlic and enjoyed it (okay, fine, I devoured it). I like the spiciness chart on their menu -- very helpful. Also shows which flavors are the driest. Friendly service.

OKkkk, so I was in H-mart for hours between Friday and Sunday and neither time was this place busy. My friend told me The ToreOne fried chicken place has gone down. How sad because I definitely (1) had heard of it (2) had that bad boy bookmarked in Yelp! for the longest. Sunday, I saw someone with a smoothie that looked good and I asked them what it was. I decided to order me one, taro smoothie with boba. I asked the cashier about it, he offered to let me taste the powder for an idea about how it would taste. Did a little tongue dip and decided it was just ok but I was like still, let me try something new. Ordered it and waited about 5-7 minutes for it. The smoothie piece was a bit icier than I like but I presume because it didn't any fruit in it. But where they lose HELLA stars is the boba. I am no connoisseur of boba but I've had enough in my big age to know what it taste like and most definitely, what it shouldn't taste like. That boba ruined the whole drink for me! It was so tough and the wrong kind of chewy! Bleh bleh bleh, I did think to take it back but I didn't bother.

KFC. Not the colonel, but Korean fried chicken was pretty good. We ordered two flavors. Balsamic scallion and original hot. Both flavors were on point. Crispy, crunchy, fried and with a lot of flavor in every bite. The food was ready in less than 10 mins. We made good choices with the flavors, although I would like to try out all the flavors some day.

Korean fried chicken was just another thing on my list I've been wanting to try lately. My girlfriend recommended this place so we decided to grab some to go and try it out! The location is inside the H-mart food court so the ambiance is just okay, but I don't take any points away for this. The food took a little while to come out, probably well over 25 minutes. The chicken itself as well as the sauce was okay but it was lacking some of the crispiness I would expect from freshly fried chicken. Lastly, the price seemed to be a little on the high side for Korean fried chicken, especially of this quality. I wouldn't mind having ToreOre if I'm shopping at H-mart and need a quick bite but if I'm being honest it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

This was one of the first Korean fried chicken places in land in Houston years ago before the KCF craze now in full swing. Located in H-mart food court, it's convenient for those who wish to grocery shop and take home a meal. After we ordered, we visited another place for an appetizer, and while fried chicken takes awhile to cook, ours was taking particularly long. I went to check back, and our chicken and fries had been boxed, and was sitting on the counter. Bummer. We were sitting a few feet away! I wish the employee would have waved at us or something to let us know our order was ready. Despite that, the chicken was tasty. The fried were meh... neither crispy nor seasoned. Would pass on those.

Chicken? Yes please! Always delicious and piping hot. It's made when you order. Gives me time to get some other things whole waiting.

It is sweet and a bit soupy from all the sauce. The noodles are chewy and bouncy, and get coated in the sauce nicely. There is a good amount of meat that comes with it too! The flavors are great. 2) Jaengbanjjajang: This is my go-to and personal favorite noodle dish to get here. It is similar to their original jjangmyeon except that it is less soupy and has a bit of spice. The spiciness adds a nice kick balancing the sweet and savory flavors. There are also lots of different mix ins like squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables! The play on textures and contrasting flavors is why I love this dish 3) Spicy Chicken Wings (Yangnyeom): For not being a chicken wing restaurant, Paiks sure does serve some banger wings. Juicy big wings with a slight crisp on the outside. The sauce is amazing. It is that sweet and spicy yangnyeom korean fried chicken sauce. 4) Tangsuyuk: I never visit Paisk without ordering their tangsuyuk. Perfectly fried with a great chew. The pork is not too porky or gamey which is nice, and the sauce is a sticky sweet and sour sauce. 4) Gunmandoo: Their panfried dumplings are quite nice too! I haven't gotten them in a while, but they were solid Overall, I don't think there was a single dish I disliked here at Paiks. Service is standard, not too fast not too slow. The ambiance is not really one for dates or anything. It's super casual with metal chairs. It can get a bit cold. There are restrooms and water dispensers. They used to have the self serve yellow radish but now they just serve it with your meal. You have to clean your table yourself and put all the dish trays in the back

The staffing is fairly lean and the mom and pop of the store both are on duty and very friendly. The banchan game here is fairly limited; bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, and pickled cucumber. The kimchi and fish cakes weren't my favorite from banchan I've had in Houston. We got the tteokbokki (3/5, the sauce was slightly bland, not sweet enough, but fairly spicy, the rice cake texture was good) and kimchi/ seafood pancake (3/5, the texture of the pancake was a bit wet and floppy, and missing a nice and oily, crisp) for appetizers. I got the galbi combo, which consists of grilled Korean short ribs with a bowl of rice, small bowl of tofu soup, and banchan. The beef short ribs, were fairly okay, honestly. The tofu in soup was tasty but the soup was also a bit light in flavor (3/5). The owners are super friendly; the food was very honestly, okay. Really wanted to enjoy it more but the flavors were on the lighter side for most of the dishes that we tried.

We did the 3 meat BBQ combo, which easily feeds around 3 people and added a few extra dishes to share. We ordered the jahp chae, which is a stir fried glass noodle with vegetables and beef. It was AMAZING and probably our favorite dish of the night. Super flavorful but not oily at all which is rare for stir fried noodles. This was both of our favorites. We also tried tteok bokki, which is chewy rice cakes in a spicy sauce. They offer the option to add cheese and in hindsight I think that would have made it better. I was really excited for this one, but it didn't fully hit for me. It was good just not amazing and a little more spicy than I personally prefer. Lastly, we tried the yachae jeon which is a vegetable pan fried pancake, and WOW. It was huge, super crispy, and had sooo much flavor for a vegetarian dish. The meats and all the BBQ fixings were incredible. Honestly, every single thing that came to the table was amazing QUALITY and amazing FLAVOR.
