(Unashamedly) my husband and I have been here about 6 times in the last two weeks, and each time we were never disappointed. Every salad we have tried so far seemed so simple but tasted amazing. The pasta salad tastes just the way my mother in law makes it, and the spaghetti and meatballs was better than a more famous chain Italian restaurant ‍ that shall remain nameless. The service was impeccable. Usually, service change depending on the time of day (even though it shouldn't), but everyone who works there is always super friendly with a smile. Pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon this Black owned, healthy establishment. Service was friendly. Restaurant was clean. I loved the R&B playing over the speakers. The Cobb Salad was really good with the honey mustard dressing. You will have to wait a little bit for your salad so try to order ahead. They estimated 45 minutes for my online order, though it was done when I walked in to pickup in 30 minutes. I ordered a smoothie along with my salad. I likely won't be getting my smoothies from here, as it was more like a frozen icey type drink than a creamy smoothie. We need more establishments like these around so I will continue to try new salads and potatoes while I'm charging my car across the street. I hope they are around a long time! read more

Hello I went here with my SisterFriend Josie on Tuesday 5.6.2025. It was our first time there. When we said it was our first time there the manager was brought out and he explained the menu to us and he welcomed us as well. The salads were delicious. The atmosphere in the place was awesome they played music that was very nice and the video was playing. The colors are green and brown very beautiful. The staff was polite and professional. A group of teenagers and it was great seeing them working and making a difference in other people's life and their own life as well. I had the toss up Cobb and Josie had a make it your own salad she's vegan I'm not. Well anyway. When I tell you that the salad was super fresh sheesh it was awesome I did not need any extra dressing at all. Dressing was all within my salad and there was none of that big chunky middle in the salad at all. I bought enormous delicious potato to take home. WOW! IMPRESSED! I have ordered form this place through Uber Eats 3 previous times and was very satisfied. The food is very fresh and the salad combinations are so good. Servings are plentiful. Tonight I went in because my husband wanted one of their famous baked potatoes. What a great experience. The food, as always, was very good and fresh. I ordered a wrap (can't remember the name) but it was with steak and chimichurri sauce etc. The sauce was so vibrant with the perfect combination of oil and greens. The kids behind the counter are super friendly and helpful. The owner, Rick, was very welcoming too. He even came around with little samples of soup to every table. And MY GOD, even the soup was to die for, especially the tomato and tortilla. I was positive he went to culinary school because the flavors of the soups were so perfect. Everything was popping-all flavors! That's not easy to do. Another perk, and this one is HUGE for me. CLEAN BATHROOMS!!! Like spotless. Automatically ,The Owner and his Employees was just great explaining what great food they had and Describing each item on the Menu, sampling there great Juices and I was just taken back by the Quality and Deliciousness of this Restaurant. I've never tasted a Beef/Bowl where the flavor and taste is minced in with the Rice "jalapeno Ranch Dressing Delicious. The Steak Grilled and with great flavors and seasonings. We ordered their Texas house salad but got it a wrap. I highly recommend it. Dressing tossed with everything just hits differently. Very flavorful 10/10. My spouse got there ahi tuna rice bowl. Bomb! The menu is huge and can be overwhelming BUT they have no problem breaking down the menu for you. The plus is, nothing here is fried so you don't have to feel guilty if you choose to indulge. The menu led me to get the Shrimp Alfredo and it was everything!! Shrimp: seasoned to perfection, no baby shrimp here.. nice size shrimp. The noodles were not overcooked, the alfredo sauce was creamy and delicious *chef's kiss* if you're in a pasta mood, definitely swing this way with your decision. Keep in mind, if you're in a salad mood, you can turn any salad into a wrap which is heavenly (in my opinion). The choices are endless here, I was super excited to have found this place. Delicious and fresh. I got the build-your-own salad. The sautéed mushroom are part of the regular toppings. What? They were yummy. Got their jalapeño dressing. Just the right amount of kick, but not too spicy that it overpowers the rest. It was a little deliciously sour. Loved it. Even their little flat breads that come with the salad are yummy. Staff is friendly and nice. They're considering adding more vegan and gf options to the menu which would really help. More eco-friendly containers would be cool, too. They take Apple Pay which is very convenient. If you choose "no receipt" on the screen to save paper, make sure they tell you your order number. That's what they use when your order is ready. I asked for no utensils when I ordered, but the kitchen makes and packages the order, so make sure to check inside your bag if you don't want them and have them take it out. I went around lunch time so the parking lot was tricky, but I imagine it would be fine otherwise. Love supporting BIPOC small businesses owned by women. Highly recommend trying this place. They have lots of options; obviously a plethora of salad choices, from set salad options to make your own salad, as well as açaí bowls, wraps, soups, and a few pasta choices. I got the Asian salad with a cup of chicken noodle soup and a small juice called Berry Blast. The salad was humongous and very tasty. Chicken noodle soup was really good too - very flavorful and well balanced between chicken, noodles and veggies. Okay, maybe I personally would have liked a tiny bit more noodle, but overall it was a win for me. When I got there, the manager had me taste 2 different juices and they were both good but the Berry Blast was my favorite, so I went ahead and ordered one. It was a little pricey, as most things are post-Covid, at $25 for the three items. However, there was so much food that it lasted me another meal, so turned out to be more like 12.50 a meal, which is not bad, especially since it was so good. So I visited this place last week on my lunch break for the first time and I was not disappointed! All I've been wanting in the South Bay was a build your own salad place and The Toss Up has made my dreams come true lol. Ok very clean inside and outside. I was greeted the moment I walked in. When I say the menu is big, it's BIG! I didn't know where to start! I ended up getting the artesian mix lettuce topped with black beans, roasted corn, boiled egg, croutons, and cheddar cheese. I seriously got hungry typing that! I choose to do bbq sauce and ranch on the side to make my version of a bbq salad. Please note you have the option to get the dressing mixed in or on the side. It comes with pita bread but sadly mine was forgotten :( . They sell soups, pastas, and etc as well. All fresh ingredients. 4.5 stars in my book! I will definitely be back to try more. read more

I've been looking for a new salad place after Simply Salads quality and service went to the dump. Saw this salad place advertised by someone and had to stop by. I got the Mandarin Chinese Chicken Salad w the Naan bread, which is large enough for two people but I'm greedy so I went in on this salad! The dressing is amazing, the salad is fresh, the chicken is amazing just buy itself like I made it at home. I also got the Mandarin drink mixed w Green Tea sooooo yummy because the mandarin drink has ginger and tumeric in it as well my ultimate favorites. The food is amazing and I will be back weekly because I love great salad places with fresh ingredients. When I walked in this evening after work, I was greeted and then someone came over to help explain their menu, and then gave me two samples of their freshly made juices which is why my greedy self got the Mandarin Green Tea mix drink ! Toss up was a surprise. I was expecting just salad but they had soup and baked potatoes, kind of like a salad bar as well. The ambiance inside was nice with a few big screen TV's to watch while enjoying your meal. The owner was a very nice pleasant man that will give you an extensive breakdown of the menu. I myself had the chili cheese baked potato which was very tasty, my wife had a nice salad (I can't remember the name of it but it was good because I finished it up) lol. Tried this place out for lunch the other day and wasn't impressed. Maybe it's because I generally don't enjoy salads, so it just wasn't for me, but I don't get it. I got the dreamy vegan salad. Other reviews said it was packed with flavor, but I thought it was very bland. The tofu was bland, and the dressing wasn't very flavorful. It was also $16 for some greens and tofu, which are relatively inexpensive ingredients. My wife got the Waldorf salad, and she enjoyed it with the exception of the bacon bits. Wouldn't go back, but if you're into salads maybe try it out. I hope you enjoy. read more

Tried this place out on the recommendation of my brother and had no complaints. My waldorf salad and clam chowder were made to perfection, my mother had the Shrimp Alfredo which was just as good. The ambiance is relaxing, modern and very clean environment even the restroom, which I use as a guide at eateries to judge the cleanliness of the kitchen since I can't see it . I could actually taste that the quality of their ingredients were a few levels up and the freshness of the lettuce was heard from the crispy crunch I had with each bite. I have fallen in love with this place. Everyone is so friendly and make it a point to greet all customers as they enter. I've just begun exploring the different salad choices. But everything is really fresh and delicious. Can we just pause and give a special shout out to the acai bowl though?? It is out of this world! I'm not sure if it's because I've cut down on sweets and this is a legal treat... Or maybe it's because it's unlike any other acai I've ever tried. My husband swears he doesn't like acai, but he actually liked this! It comes with three toppings. I get bananas and double granola. It's a little pricey but so worth it!! Okay back to the salads. You can build your own or get one of the pre-designed choices. Have it your way. There are so many choices here. And substitutions are not a problem. I found this spot on accident and I'm so glad I came in. They have salads, açaí bowls, pasta, and great fresh juices. I ordered the Waldorf salad sans onions with bleu cheese dressing. I added curly kale to it. It's so delicious and I'm so thankful that there is a spot that is dedicated to actual salads. A salad is not a side item, it's a large entree. The owner was there when I ordered and he's really nice and chats with the customers. I'm coming back often now that I know it's here. I hope more people learn about this spot. There's plenty of seating and there's music playing on the television so the atmosphere is laid back and mellow. They make your salad from scratch so I enjoy the berry juice while I waited. The food is excellent. I had a salad made just for me with all the toppings to my liking which was humongous. Everything was very fresh. The drinks are excellent. They even gave me samples of their soups which was excellent. The people were nice and friendly. I would highly recommend you giving them a try especially if you like eating healthy.
