This place is a must try!! I have been 3 times is the past week, and I enjoyed it every time. My family ordered different salads which were all enjoyable! We had "The Buff N Cluck", "Santorini", "Chicken Caesar Salad", and the "Beef Stro" salads. The baked potato is amazing! I got the chili cheese baked potato with added bacon and steak and omg it was great and so full of flavor. I got the piña colada smoothie and it was so delicious, as are the other ones I've tried in the past. I was able to sample the soups and the chili and all of them are delicious. My favorite might be either the broccoli & cheddar or the chicken tortilla. I sampled the juices as well and they all taste fresh and delicious. They're all organic! My new favorite is the mandarin. I tried their açaí and it is also really good! I'll definitely be back to get an actual açaí bowl soon. This place is always clean, including the bathroom. Great customer service as always, and nice to dine in. Thank you! 10/10 I will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

I can't believe I've missed out frequenting this spot. Fresh, tasty and so many choices. A perfect salad, soup and baked potato restaurant. I got the chicken Waldorf salad which needed a little more dressing but it was good. The clam chowder was delicious. We were given samples of other soups and all were very delicious. I believe they make everything in house.

For a $10 smoothie (LG) $7 (reg) with limited smoothie options I was expecting something super yummy. My group and I were in the area and saw smoothies advertised outside, we swung by and thought our drinks were a little too sweet and not as fresh/tropical as we expected (I know, it's more of a food spot nor a tropical food spot) but a girl can dream! My friends green drink was okay, she got the regular size and ended up throwing away the last of it. lots of seating and no wait. Great customer service from the gentleman in the front & menu options! I'd come back to try the food options but skip the smoothie.

Rick, the owner and all of his employees , were incredibly kind and welcoming! He offered me free soup samples, which was really thoughtful, and he made the whole experience feel very welcoming and friendly. His customer service was amazing, and you can genuinely tell that he cares about his customers and the experience they have. I really appreciated his kindness and generosity. Thank you to the employees aswell :) Definitely a great owner and someone who makes you want to come back! Highly recommend Toss Up!

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining the menu since it was our first time. I love the idea of a fast casual eatery that has healthy options. And I don't think I've seen another place in the area that has big baked potatoes on their menu! The food was tasty, the space was clean and I loved that they were playing 90s/2000s R&B videos on the screen. No issue parking in the adjacent lot when we arrived, but I could see it getting a bit busy during lunch times with other restaurants in the same plaza. Looking forward to coming back!

When you're in the mood for something healthy yet tasty, The Toss Up has been my go-to for salads! They have a good variety of set options or you can build your own. My favorite is their Baja Salad. It comes with romaine, mixed greens, corn, black beans, red onion, cherry tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips, and grilled chicken. I appreciate the variety of fresh ingredients in this salad! It usually comes with a spicy jalapeno dressing, but I prefer their BBQ Ranch. "The Toss Up" Cobb is pretty good as well. This one has romaine, cherry tomatoes, avocado, hard boiled egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, roast turkey, bacon, and red onions. All of their salads come with a piece of flat bread. too. Their pre-set salads are definitely a better deal than if you try to select each ingredient when you build your own bowl. Another thing I like about The Toss Up is they have other pasta, baked potato, and soup options in case you feel like you need something extra on top of a salad. We tried their Loaded Baked Potato Bowl and their Cheddar Broccoli Baked Potato Bowl, and they were HUGE! Definitely good for sharing. We usually order online ahead of time, and the estimated wait time always seems oddly long, but sometimes when we get to the restaurant, there aren't too many people there. Not sure if the estimated pick up time system needs to be calibrated?

My Mistake! You ever go to a restaurant and they do things sooo good/right you realize you judged them against previous *meh* experiences? Well, that's what I realized today. I stopped in to pick up lunch for myself and my family. I ordered two shrimp alfredos and two cesar salads. I always get my salads with the dressing mixed in. I'm used to places having watery dressing with barely any flavor so I just assumed The Toss Up would kinda be the same, especially because this is a cesar dressing (and yes, I've been here before to dine in and got the dressing mixed in then too, to the Thai salad). By the time I got home (after making a stop), my salad had wilted a bit and my croutons were not as chrunchy. I'm not mad about it because THE FLAVOR!!!!! OMG!!! this cesar dressing is amazing! Creamy, sumptuous, heavy in the best way possible. Every bite of lettuce, parmesan cheese, chicken, and crouton had dressing on it. And I even ordered an extra dressing! As always, service was great. Such friendly, chatty, kind folks work here. Expect to be greeted when you walk in and get a friendly "bye, see you later" when you leave. BTW, my family loved their food, "delicious" is what they said :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This might be a Yelp thing or a me thing but the review above erased my previous review. I was in to The Toss Up on Friday, June 13 and had a great experience. The Thai salad was so flavorful and full of everything fresh and crunchy--veggies and peanuts. We were greeted warmly by the owner who explained the menu to us in detail. My friend and I split the spaghetti and meatballs and I can't recall the last time I had pasta this good. This first experience was just soooo positive it's why I came back. I wanted another delicious meal and wanted my family to know what I've been raving about.

I finally had time to sit down and do this review I've ordered from them a couple of times after my daughters told me about the place - and let me tell you... The Toss Up! They always Boss Up! Let's start with the packaging - because presentation begins before the first bite. It's like trying to get into Fort Knox You literally have to cut your way in, and I LOVE that. It guarantees your food is sealed, fresh, and not tampered with. Now let's talk about the food... whew! Whether it's their fresh, delicious salads or these humongous, fully loaded potatoes, the quality is always on point. Everything is flavorful, well-seasoned, and made with care. And that chili?! I don't know if it's homemade, but it definitely tastes like it. And if it's not - keep doctoring it up, because it is DELICIOUS! Rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Thank you, The Toss Up! On this grey So Cal day I was feeling too lazy to make my own salad. I was hungry, my bestie had time to spare so we headed to The Toss Up for a soup and salad lunch. I love when I'm greeted upon entering a restaurant, it's an acknowledgement that creates a positive experience right from the start. We approached the counter and placed our orders. Simple, straight forward and despite a tiny error that was easily fixed, the process was painless. Our salads, soups and beverages arrived and we dug in. My Baja salad was super yummy - the creamy jalapeño dressing was so good - it has a kick and I loved it. Her Santorini salad was equally yummy and both of us agreed we'd order them again. The broccoli cheddar soups were hot and tasty and we loved that the cheddar tasted authentic - not one of those afterthought soups thrown on a menu to check a box. The chunks of broccoli were perfect in size and the only thing I would have liked to have was a sprinkling of pepper. The service was superb. Friendly and personable which makes the experience even better. These days I don't mind paying more for food if the service is top notch. Would have liked the soda to be accessible for refills. You're given a plastic lid to cover your bowl for leftovers - we didn't have anything to take home, so the lids went unused and became waste. Overall, the menu is loaded with options and coupled with the service, I would visit again. Oh! Almost forgot to mention the R&B music playing in the background! That made the visit memorable. Keep on, keeping on The Toss Up!

Incredible!!! My friend and I came here for a healthier option after a day at the theme parks, and this did not disappointed! We were greeted with incredible customer service, and were showered with samples. I ultimately had the Dreamy Vegan, and he built his own salad, but wow!! The size of our salads, and the protein, as well as the dressings, absolutely delicious. I also got to try the broccoli cheddar and tomato soup, and both were bursting with the most delicious flavors! The restaurant was clean, and such a fun atmosphere to spend some time hanging out after a great day! DO NOT SKIP THIS WONDERFUL PLACE!

I've been here a few times. I like to support smaller businesses anytime I can, however, I think today might be my last time coming here. My wife ordered the Southwest Beef Bowl. The first issue was the how small the portion was for the bowl and also the amount of meat that was in it. It literally had maybe about 8-10 small cubes of beef and the rest being rice, which also was very mushy and not pleasant to eat. Secondly, the seasoning on their items lack quite a bit, especially the meatballs in their spaghetti. They are just so bland and the meat also has a very odd texture to it. Not exactly sure what they do to it, but it's not good. And this was the second time I've ordered that meal. The salads are pretty decent to good. I've had their Baja Salad and the Texas Smokehouse and they came out pretty good and also a good portion. I tried their "wraps" but really they are just burrito salads with them using a flour tortilla vs a real pita wrap. Not the end of the world, but using flour tortillas makes the wraps taste different and have more tendency of breaking apart easier when eating. I think from now on, I'll just go to Simply Salad down the street as their food is always good and portions are consistent.

1st time here. Love the decor and the avocado green booths. The staff were wonderful as they pointed out all their features on the menu. I ordered the spicey Baja salad w/ chicken. It was loaded with fresh crisp greens, black beans, corn, grilled chicken, avocado , cherry tomatoes and a delicious creamy spicey dressing. The salad is huge! I absolutely loved it. Since it was my birthday, that day- the manager gave me a complimentary Acai bowl. Everything was delicious. I'll be back to try their other entrees. read more

I came here for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. I had the Chinese Chicken Salad, and it was really delicious. I asked for the dressing to be mixed in and it was the perfect amount, and not too tangy or sweet at all. In fact, it was quite light and refreshing, which is what I like. It was very healthy, too. They were also very generous with the chicken and the team was extremely attentive and friendly. I believe it was the owner who gave me the entire rundown of the menu before I ordered and he offered me multiple samples of their juices and soups. Very welcoming and his attitude and food alone make me want to come back and support this small hardworking business. I hope they stick around because healthy, affordable, and tasty options with that kind of service are not easy to come by and I've been dining in this area by my work for 10 years now. I've pretty much been everywhere for lunch around there within a 5-7 mile radius and this will be my new spot. The place is super clean and spacious, and the service is extremely fast. First off!!! This amazing restaurant deserves a standing ovation! Round of applause. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out it was exceptional customer service! Everyone and I mean everyone was so nice and professional. I got to meet both owners and their energy was magnetic. I ordered a Cesar salad with salmon and decided to make it a wrap! Baby let me tell you. I never knew a salad could have so much flavor. It was over delicious. The restaurant was extremely clean. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The only advice I would give this place is keep doing exactly what your doing! 100-100! And shot out to baby girl working the cash register. She's so sweet! I was on my way to Pita 360 and stumbled upon "The Toss Up". I walked in to check out the menu since I was looking for something a little healthy & I was greeted immediately. A gentleman who seemed to be maybe the owner gave my boys a sweet treat before he explained the menu and also gave us a few samples of the juices. The menu looks large but after the gentleman explained it was quite simple. I ordered the Texas smokehouse salad but made it a wrap The buff n cluck as a wrap and the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was excellent! The customer service, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality ingredients were a 10/10! I honestly don't like eating out much but you can tell with every bite how fresh the food is, it's as if I made it at home myself ( but better) I will definitely be back to try the other items in the menu! I walked into this establishment for the first time and this was my experience I was welcomed by all and was explained the menu to since I was a first timer. The owner right away approached me and made me feel beyond welcomed. Very attentive and accommodating. The salad alone I have to admit took a while to make. The young man making it could of definitely moved a tiny bit faster since it's a salad. But when it finally came, hands down one of the best salads. So happy my husband and I came upon this wonderful place. It's hard to find a good salad in our area. I had the Thai salad, soooo good, fresh and delicious! My husband had the Ahi salad he was also pleased. I purchased a rice crispy treat, and my husband a brownie. The night we were there, they were trying out new smoothie flavors and that night it was Pina Colada, again delicious. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Sweet new spot by the 405! Our office is nearby and we were in the mood for a salad, wraps something healthy. We get there and it's a nice spot inside and even playing some cool jams. They literally have everything soups, chicken bowls, baked potatoes, pastas etc., etc. The food is good and freshly made. Only reason I did not give a 5-star was bc the cost, took a while, and the manager seems to be micro-managing the workers and is very evident while there. Health is literally luxury at this establishment! I was so excited by the BYO salad options and all the different food items on the menu! This place has so much diversity embedded in their menu and recipes, absolutely well done to the owners! The staff were also super friendly and hospitable; we truly enjoyed our experience Not to mention, being able to watch your salad being made and prepared right in front of you is a reassuring benefit for sure! Stopped in here recently as we saw the sign saying it was now open. We've been looking for more places to eat cleaner, and this place was great for that. A clean and modern design and a friendly staff greeted us. They let us take our time ordering at the counter and were happy to answer our questions. Husband and I each ordered one of their preset salad options, the Mandarin and the Texas Smokehouse. Each salad was really good, fresh, and the container was packed full and include a piece of flatbread. Chicken on the salad was warm too, which was a nice touch. We'll be returning! read more

SLOW is a big word for these guys!Saw 7 employees (average amount of workers at a BUSY InNout for example) it's not the first time I have to wait over 30 min EVEN after ordering ahead of time! Out of those 7 employees only 2 really seem to be busting out the orders the rest are just walking around or look completely lost.will be taking my business down the street at SimplySalad. Food is good but the wait is overwhelming even when I have tried to order through doordash or Ubereats I kid you not it is the longest wait read more

The salads here are so good and are sooo worth the price. Salads are $15 which is a typical amount you would pay at other salad bars. However, they give you so much of the salad, I ended up taking it to go and finished the rest in the evening. I love ratio of salad: add-ons: dressing. I feel like sometimes I'm just eating straight lettuce from salads. Their salads here have the perfect ratio of all three. read more

They forgot to add what I asked and paid for. Did not notice until I got home. But mistakes happen so I'm not too bothered about that. The price is unreasonably high for the quality of the salad in my opinion. I can easily remake the salad, it wasn't very special. But if they do sell the dressings/ranch that they use in the salads I would happily buy that. read more

This was our first visit here. All fresh ingredients, food was great and very pleasant ambiance! Portions are huge and shareable. We went during dinner hours for takeout, took about an hour but now we know to order and pick up. Definitely worth the wait! Simply amazing service! From the time I opened their door you are greeted like you just walked in to a family members house. Very warm and welcoming. It was my first time there and the cashier was super friendly and knew it was my first time. He went through the menu and knew the memory like he knew the back of his hand and didn't even need to look up at the menu board. Only to find out later he was the owner and his entire staff were just as friendly as he was and welcomed other customers into the restaurant with love. Thank goodness! finally a customized salad restaurant in the south bay . I had lunch at The Toss Up today. Let me just say, not only was the logo and place beautiful. But the entire set up, salad choices and location is perfect. My wife, kids and I had the mango pineapple smoothies along with the Toss Up Cobb salad, the chicken Caesar and the shrimp alfredo. We thought everything was absolutely delicious!! Also Blanche helped me with my order. She was awesome. The entire staff and service was great! I will tell many people about this place. I just had the most incredible experience! From the second I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the cashier who asked if it was my first visit. Once I mentioned it was, they happily walked me through the menu and even offered me a few mouthwatering samples! The owners are absolutely delightful, and the employees radiate such positive energy. The customer service is a solid 10/10! And let me tell you about that salad - it was nothing short of amazing! We are recommended to try this place from our staffs. A few of them has been coming here regularly. We also have been here a few times already. We kept coming back more !! We have been ordering the dreamy vegan even though we are not exactly vegan. Everything we ordered has been super fresh and fantastic. All the sauces are very yummy ! The staffs are so nice !! I came in tonight with my grandmother who's on a low carb diet and we had an amazing time here! The owner is very friendly and he took the time to explain the menu to us as we were first time customers and my grandma really appreciated it. The owner also took the time to let us sample their signature drinks and dressings. Overall, the service was impeccable and the food was amazing to match. Wow!! This was my first time even hearing about this place. I'm so glad I came! First walking in and samples were provided. Out of all three (cheddar broccoli soup, tortilla soup, and chili) very tasty. For my main meal, I got the Cobb salad with chicken Alfredo and loaded potato. *chefs kiss* AMAZING!!
