I got an Ahi salad with a side of chicken (a la carte) Ahi was good ! Dressing was good but not impressive Chicken was very dry! It was like eating cardboard! Overall presentation of the salad was very pretty However I was very disappointed with the quality of the product especially the chicken ! I do take inflation into account but I literally paid almost $20 for a salad and extra 3 oz of chicken with mediocre tastebuds Very disappointed! It woulda been worth it if the quality is better! read more

Who knew there were so many ways to make salad? Ok, probably everyone but me. I went, fully intending to order the Cobb, but then when the menu was explained I had to decide, Santorini or Waldorf? Went with the Santorini, it was amazing! I requested the dressing tossed in and it was the perfect amount, not too much, not too little. The lemonade was...gentle? Perfect blend of sweet and tart, that didn't give me heartburn. I would go back for the salad, the lemonade, the broccoli cheese soup (they give samples of EVERYTHING) but, the cherry on the top was the smoothie. read more

Perfect portions! Definitely will order again. They didn't read the specifications I requested, regardless the food was delicious

The vegan tofu salad was so yummy & I loved the creamy dressing & sublte heat of the herbs. Crew was super friendly, cool, & chill too.

They just opened up and the food was delicious, just remember that they just opened up so they're nervous, so the speed might not be up to your liking. Just bare with it and they will get the hang of it and will be a lot faster. I would definitely go and see for yourself if you like it, in my opinion I like it a lot the food is really good the drink tasted fresh. So why not give it a try. read more

The Toss Up - Salad Near Me - Gardena, California

First time here. I gotta say the wait time is too long..(40 min)... but they just started and there is always growing pains at the beginning. It speaks volumes when the owner herself comes to your table to apologize for the delay. Both salads were salty but hey..... more savor right? The acai bowls were delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. Will give them another try real soon...... after all it's better to eat healthy read more

Customer service was great, the eating area was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I had a Chicken Cesar salad with dressing on side, it was tasty and filling. My wait time was reasonable if not quick. That could be because of my small order. Honestly, I can't wait to come back and try their smoothies, pastas and soup! read more

Today was my very first time at the restaurant. A dear friend had eaten at the restaurant before. She said before arriving "You will really like it". I am a very picky eater and this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations! I give the the service, ambiance, decor, and location a 10!! I will be returning soon! Excellent healthy food!! The owner Rick was very knowledgeable and personable! read more

We have tried The Toss Up several times so far. Each time there has been an improvement in the taste and wait time for an order. The first time I waited almost an hour for 2 salads and no one was there! Why did I try it again? The friendly people working there, owners, and I love small businesses. I myself worked in a restaurant for years and know the struggle to get things started. Today we ordered through Door Dash and the order was made and delivered within an hour, not 2 hours as before. The tofu was so good and much better than before!! One time I ordered the baked potato which was like 3 potatoes!! It was so good with everything on it!! Their dressings for salads and sauces are excellent!! Keep up the great work!! read more

I decided to patronize The Toss Up today and I'm glad I did. I met the owner, had good conversation while waiting for my food. Ordered the, Greek salad, it was so good, and the dressing! It was our first time and unknowingly it was a few minutes past their closing time. We were welcome in an didn't realize this until they locked the doors after another customer was leaving. The gentleman, I believe his name was Rich (the owner) still took time to go over the menu and offered us a beverage while we waited. The establishment was nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We ordered cobb wraps and the ingredients were fresh. We enjoyed our meal. The customer service was great and we'll definitely be back soon to try other menu items!! read more

We were looking for a salad and soup place and ended up here when searching up salad reviews in the area. The owner of the restaurant was extremely friendly and offered free samples of the drinks. The decor of the place was very upbeat and it was spacious enough for several large groups. The menu included a number of delicious salads and soups and we wanted to try them all! I got the Baja salad and my mom got the Waldorf salad. The Baja salad had a nice crunch and spice to it. The lemonade was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. Definitely a restaurant I will be recommending to family and friends and one that I will frequent again when I want a tasty, filling salad. read more

I would have loved to give a higher score but I just can't do it. The food is good but it takes way to long to get your food. The first visit it took over 40 minutes for our food to be ready. The 2nd visit we ordered online and it said it would be ready in 40 minutes we arrived 43 minutes later and 1 order was ready 2nd order was not. I ordered the Cobb salad and when I got home was sad to see there was no hard boiled egg. Had to add my own. My friend paid for extra feta cheese and there was not extra. Like I said the taste and freshness is good but you need to have a lot of time to wait for a salad and you need to triple check your salad has all of the ingredients that it comes with. Still may return to try again but not I'm not sure. read more

10/10 the staff was so welcoming, the experience was amazing, the food was out of this world, great prices, first time I ever ate something so good it made me leave a review read more
