Soo good! Never had anything like it...
    Brenda Q.

I had this place on my bucket list for whenever we got to visit Carmel and we finally had a chance to have breakfast there this morning! It's a cute and cozy little cottage, but definitely small. They only take cash, so make sure you're prepared for that! We arrived during a gloomy morning around 1030am and there was only one table taken inside. We sat inside ordered some coffee which was simply good. As we sat there the sun came out and my husband wanted to sit outside instead. They were very accommodating and encouraged us to sit outside. The service there was awesome! I ordered the EGG Breakfast which includes the option to order their infamous homemade scone, which I did. It comes with two eggs and I ordered my eggs over easy with Canadian bacon. My hubby ordered the Tuck Box Benedict with a side of country potatoes as it was not included. I was pleased with my breakfast and loved their Scottish scone, especially with the delicious whipped butter and berry jam! The hubby however, wasn't too impressed. His breakfast was good, but nothing spectacular. We spent around $60 w/tip which is pretty typical for breakfast nowadays. We did love the atmosphere and I wouldn't mind coming back to try their lunch some day!

We received a genuinely, warm welcome upon walking in. We sat on the lovely patio and we were promptly attended to. An 805 and a house special, berry mimosa started our dining experience. We ordered the BLT on rye with fruit salad and a club sandwich with chicken barley soup. Every bite was well presented and tasty. And, the service was exceptional. If the eatery across the street has a line down the sidewalk and an hour wait, walk across the street to this treasure.

Such a charming little spot! We stopped by The Tuck Box because my wife just had to go and she was interested in their high tea, which we didn't get to try this time, but it's definitely on our list for next visit. We came for breakfast and ordered a Benedict. They didn't have any gluten-free options, but the staff were super kind and made it work by serving it over fresh tomato slices for my wife. Had some coffee and the cozy cottage vibes made it all feel like a scene out of a storybook. The space itself is adorablem great light during the day. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, so plan ahead before you go. All in all, a sweet, breakfast spot with friendly service. Can't wait to come back and experience their high tea next time.

I like the food. Very tasty. The lady is very nice too. Plus the plce feels magical. A lil bit cramped specially the table, but youll forget about it because of the cute aesthetic. The outside table was also very pleasing with tge lil garden gnome and mushroom around. But the outdoor table is not open till 9am, just an fyi.

This has been a family favorite since the early 1950's when we would come down from San Francisco to visit family. As i grew up i eventually moved to Carmel and made this my staple breakfast place every weekend. I always took visitors to town to this place for breakfast. My favorite being the scones with the homeade jam. I loved the benedict, and especially the Welsh Rarebit benefict. That is something unique to this place that you cannot find elsewhere. I really miss not being close to this place.

I didn't go here today . But we were looking forward to it but they only accept cash . Now that's crazy no wonder the place was empty at 10 am . As much as I like their scones and breakfast items I don't think I will be coming back so sorry

    Menu on website

My wife was very excited to have breakfast here as the menu ON THEIR WEBSITE had very reasonable prices. However when we arrived we were floored by a different menu. Eggs Benedict for example is $9.95 on website but $16.95 when you arrive. Food and service was great. But a very unexpected $70 breakfast after tip. Website menu attached.

Cute little English tea shop in the heart of Carmel and it turned out to be a great place for us to get a little breakfast while the power was out at our hotel and most other places in town. They have a great breakfast menu but my eye went straight to the scone. They deliver this one a little differently than any other scone I've had in the US or Uk. Cooked in a skillet and served in wedges, it's hot and buttery. It's almost like a cornbread but not quite. Different but good and great on a cold rainy morning with hot tea or coffee. Definitely try it . They serve lunch as well and close at 3pm. Also breakfast cocktails and wine and beer. It was a good fix of Carby goodness . The service was a little slack and unfriendly. Maybe she was having a bad day with the power being out in town. Who knows . Food was good though !

Since it was cold outside, the staff thoughtfully offered us blankets--which was such a sweet, cozy touch. The food was also incredible. We overheard a waiter mention that they make everything in-house, which is very impressive and you can definitely taste the quality! To top it all off, we spoke with a local earlier in the day who told us all about the rich history of this place and its famous owner (Clint Eastwood). Extremely disappointing experience at Mission Ranch…read more We were genuinely looking forward to eating at Mission Ranch while visiting Carmel, but the way we were treated completely ruined the experience. We arrived with our child and were told the wait would be about an hour and a half. We understood that the restaurant was busy, so we decided to wait. Two hours later, we still hadn't been seated. What made the situation especially frustrating was watching the woman at the front seat people who had arrived after us, while repeatedly seeming to look us over and pass us by. After waiting well beyond the time we'd been quoted, with no meaningful explanation or acknowledgment, we'd had enough. We left. A long wait at a popular restaurant is understandable. What isn't understandable is giving guests a 90-minute estimate, leaving them waiting for two hours, seating later arrivals ahead of them, and failing to communicate what is happening. For a place with Mission Ranch's reputation, location, and prices, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and professionalism. Instead, we walked away feeling ignored and unwelcome. We never even got the opportunity to find out whether the food was good, because the front-of-house experience was bad enough that we weren't willing to give them any more of our time. Two hours wasted in Carmel. There are far too many wonderful restaurants in the area to spend an evening waiting around somewhere that doesn't seem particularly concerned whether you're there or not.

Clam pasta - Classic Pepperoni wood-fired pizza I love the vibes and the European bistro feel of petite wooden tables, hanging copper pots, and bicycle decor. This place is cozy and intimate. As popular as this place gets, I did feel cramped at my table. It was hard to get out of my seat without backing into the chairs behind me and shimmying past the tight neighboring tables to use the ladies' room. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend making reservations to avoid long wait times.

They have indoor and outdoor seating , we got their early so the seats were a little wet but Rita wiped down the seats and provided us with blanket covers so the seats were not cold and we had some warmth. She was beyond kind and it was very much appreciated. Also there are only a few parking in front so you may have to park a street or two over. Servicewas just outstanding... Rita checked on us often, brought out treats and water for our dogs and was just amazing. Food: The braised corn beef hash: was absolute perfection... I love corn beef hash and this take with the braised corned beef just spoils you with deliciousness. The poached egg was perfect, I have never braised corned beef but I'm going to learn to try and make a dish like this. My wife got the chicken and waffles, and she gave me some and it was perfect, the one thing that hit the most was the breading on the chicken was so delicious , they made sure the flavor complemented the sweetness of the waffle and syrup, the chicken was tender and with the waffle it was just something else. I also tried their biscuit and gravy and it was so good. The sausage in the gravy and the flavor was so delicious. I had not been back to Carmel for 30 years since I moved out of state. What a nauseating experience, as I was sharing some childhood memories with my son, and my husband. Turns out our complaint to our server was pointless, as she tried to lie her way out of it "we lost your order in the kitchen." Then another gentleman appeared, turns out that this server was the owner. Filled w excuses and honestly, just because he was an immigrant doesn't mean he was a "brown"minority. This place is small and intimate, and they let us sit there, staring, looking, wondering why we are being treated different. No one said a peep until 45 minutes in. I started inquiring where our food was. I would've warned the handful of minorities that had arrived and we're waiting to be seated, but my husband asked me not to, as he said it's pointless and it looks like times haven't changed., especially in Carmel Not that it matters, but the lobster Benedict was mediocre at best, just enough lobster that it wasn't a lie I guess
