2008 dodge ram 2500 four-wheel-drive. My front axle inner seals were leaking and that's some thing that I just did not want to do on my own. I ended up finding twisted axle in San Antonio. I read the reviews and the reviews are very good so I went ahead and gave it a try. I could say this that I am very pleased with the customer service. They got my truck in very quickly and diagnosed my problems that I also had besides the axle leak. They even sent me pictures and kept me updated with texts. Pricing is extremely fair. He was actually cheaper than a lot of shops that I called around. If you have driveline issues, this is the place to go hands-down!

Doing a final drive ratio change on my 2018 Canyon to 4.10 Nitro Gears. Rafael was able to get a textbook perfect pattern on the ring and pinion. Very reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Tough place to find as there are a bunch of businesses surrounded by it (the gps didn't take me to the exact spot). Called the owner Rafael and he kindly directed me to the shop. My total came to about $250 to do a rear axle seal on my Jeep Wrangler , I gave a deposit of $120 and took off to run some errands. He updated me (sent pics through text) throughout the process which I really appreciated. It gives me peace of mind that the work is being done. All of this was done in a little more than an hour, other shops told me it was going to take half a day! All in all, great service! Would recommend 100%

2000 GMC Safari, can you shim the differential? I've had the bearings replaced, but I'm thinking it…

Yes, I can. Have you already started to rebuild it?

We had a full vehicle tuneup on my wife's Camry and let's just just say it was nothing but stellar. Belts, plugs and full brake work done in 2 hours at our home. Great work! Very disappointed with my experience with Ryan. My vehicle is a 2019 GMC Sierra, and I contacted…read morehim because my truck had a coolant leak and I already strongly suspected that the radiator needed to be replaced. Before coming out, he told me he would still need to diagnose it and charged me $115. After paying the $115 diagnostic fee, I was basically told exactly what I already knew, the radiator needed to be replaced. Then I was informed that he couldn't actually do the repair because the job required the A/C refrigerant to be recovered and he didn't have the equipment necessary to do that. His recommendation was for me to take the truck to a repair shop. My biggest issue is, if you're advertising yourself as a mobile mechanic/certified technician and charging $115 just to come diagnose a problem, I would expect you to either have the equipment necessary to perform common repairs or be upfront BEFORE charging the customer that you may not be equipped to complete the job. On top of that, I felt his labor quote was extremely high. He quoted me $700 JUST FOR LABOR to replace the radiator on my 2019 GMC Sierra. I ended up taking my truck to an actual radiator shop, and they charged me only $300 for the labor. That's a $400 difference for the same radiator replacement. So I essentially paid Ryan $115 to tell me I needed the radiator I had already told him I believed I needed, was quoted $700 in labor, and then was told he couldn't even perform the repair because he didn't have the necessary A/C equipment. Based on my experience, it left me feeling like collecting the diagnostic fee was more important than actually repairing my vehicle. I would not use this service again. I would strongly recommend asking exactly what equipment he has and whether he can actually complete your repair BEFORE agreeing to pay the $115 diagnostic fee.

He was extremely honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything so I fully understood what was going on before making a decision. On top of that, Yousri was able to fix the AC on my current car something multiple other shops couldn't figure out. That alone says a lot about his skill and experience. I cannot recommend Y/D Automotive after my experience with their mobile repair service…read more I found them through Google and contacted them for an alternator replacement. I was quoted about $585 for parts and labor. A technician came to my location around 3:00 PM, removed my alternator, then discovered he had brought the wrong replacement part. After checking multiple auto-parts stores, I was told the correct alternator would be about $950 plus $175 installation. Since that was substantially more than the original quote, I declined and asked only that my original alternator be reinstalled and the vehicle returned to the condition it was in before the work began. That did not happen. The technician spent several more hours trying to reinstall the alternator and drive belt but could not get the belt back on. I even spent about an hour trying to assist. Around 10:00 PM I told him to stop for the night. I paid him $60 for his time and was told another technician could come finish putting the vehicle back together. My vehicle was left undrivable overnight. The next morning Y/D initially told me someone would call back within 10-15 minutes to arrange another technician. That call did not come. I was later told all technicians were booked and someone could come the following morning around 10:00 AM. I could not leave my vehicle undrivable for another full day, so I hired an independent automotive technician to inspect it. He found that the drive-belt tensioner operating point/bolt had been stripped and could no longer be properly operated. I received an estimate of $449.65 to replace the tensioner assembly alone, separate from the alternator repair I already needed. When the independent technician returned to address the belt issue, he discovered that my original alternator had also been reinstalled incorrectly. It was not properly seated, and one mounting bolt was misaligned and not positioned through its proper mounting point. I am including a photo of that condition. According to the independent technician, the misaligned alternator prevented the belt from fitting correctly around the accessory system. He advised that the stripped tensioner was consistent with excessive force being applied while attempting to install the belt with the alternator improperly positioned. He also advised that the tensioner otherwise appeared to function normally apart from the stripped operating point. Once he properly seated and aligned the alternator, the belt could be installed correctly. The technician has agreed to document his findings in writing and, if necessary, testify regarding what he personally observed and his professional opinion. What disappoints me just as much as the mechanical work is how this was handled afterward. I repeatedly gave Y/D Automotive opportunities to resolve this directly. Despite already paying additional inspection and corrective-service costs, I initially asked only for the $449.65 cost of replacing the damaged tensioner. I specifically told them I was not asking them to pay for the alternator I already needed, my additional diagnostic expenses, corrective work, lost business income, transportation issues, or my time. I later made an even broader attempt to resolve this. After researching the business, I came to believe the technician who worked on my vehicle may also be the person operating Y/D Automotive. Because I am a small business owner myself and understand that people can get in over their heads, I offered to waive the $449.65 request entirely in exchange for an honest account of what happened, acknowledgment of the damage, and a sincere apology. That message was sent through multiple business communication channels, and some showed as read. I received no response resolving the matter. At this point I am beginning the formal process of pursuing recovery of my documented damages and expenses. I would have preferred to resolve this directly, but I am not willing to absorb damage to my vehicle and the resulting costs. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how someone handles them afterward. Based on the work performed on my vehicle and the way this situation has been handled, I absolutely cannot recommend Y/D Automotive. I am including supporting photographs and documentation where the platform allows so readers can evaluate the circumstances for themselves.

Since I knew, in general, what the issue was going to be, I explained the issue, and we made arrangements for me to being my pickup truck in for a free diagnostic. Mind you, the sun hadn't already come up yet, and Triage was open and running already. The auto shop is tucked away off Bitters Rd between several other speciality garages. The waiting area was a clean and friendly with a wide window looking into the garage where you can see the mechanics at work. There were amenities such as bags of snacks, coffee, a water cooler, and a television. They had immediate availability and were quick to confidently diagnose the exact issue showing me the problem. A quote for the part I needed, as well as the removal and replacement of said part, was written up, and the owner offered to drive me to home or work while the repair was performed. I took him up on it, and he's a great guy. Keep in mind, all of this happened before other auto shops even opened for the day! Jacob, the manager and mechanic who worked on my vehicle serviced it promptly, letting me know status periodically. Since it was a reasonably simple repair, Jacob picked me up early that afternoon to take me back to the shop and finalize the service. My pickup was repaired, and I was back on the road before any other auto shops had even answered my Yelp Projects inquiry. The shop I had previously used for service had scheduled me three days out. As someone who does mechanic work myself and relies on my vehicle, I can confidently say Triage's expertise and urgency in getting me back on the road kept my business running with minimum downtime. The price was fantastic on labor too. Very competitive. I will be recommending them in the future for sure!

I found my new auto repair shop in San Antonio!…read more I requested a quote early on a Tuesday morning for battery install service. I had purchased a replacement battery, but needed install assistance since the battery sits behind my driver side wheel. The owner, Kareem, responded *immediately* with shop location, hours, and the number to reach the shop manager, Jacob, to discuss specifics. Very friendly and engaging interaction with the owner. I gave Jacob a call, and he gave me a very reasonable quote and best time to come in for service. He even gave me knowledgeable recommendations for the best battery to buy for my vehicle, and he was *on-point* because it was the same brand I bought after researching with glowing reviews (Interstate). When I arrived, Jacob not only greeted me kindly but offered water and the TV remote while I waited for my battery to be switched out. I saw a sparkling clean restroom for customers, as well. I was in and out in 30 minutes or less. From the owner to the manager to the pricing to the excellent service (I believe Connor worked on my vehicle) - they have truly earned my business!
