First time stopping in after it has changed to the Twisted Griffin and not much has changed. We were warmly greeted and were seated right away. The servers were very attentive and helpful. We sat in the bar area which was cozy but the music was a little too loud for me (showing my age ) We weren't super hungry so we ordered the Fish and Chips to share. Even if we were hungry we wouldn't have been able to eat the whole thing ourselves, the serving size was huge. There were two giant pieces of fish and a good amount of chips which were thinly sliced deep fried potatoes. Not sure if they do that in house or not. The fish was good but didn't have much flavor. It really needed the sliced lemon squeezed on top. The chips were pretty good but a little too salty for me. They have what I'm thinking was a house made ketchup that was really good. Not sure if we will be back but might be worth trying if you are in town. read more

This place was okay. It's definitely overrated. The service is good and it's located in the heart of downtown tucked behind a few buildings towards the end of the strip. We were immediately sat and we chose to sit outside. It was really nice out. For our appetizer we got was the crab boxty, presentation it looks delicious. And the flavor was good, only complaint is it is really mushy and I thought it would be a bit more crispy. It's like a crab and potato cake mushed into one. Then for my meal I got the 3 flight burger and honestly I didn't like it. The meat had no flavor at all. We also got the truffle fries and those were over powering with the truffle sauce. Overall it's an okay place but over priced. I would not come back. But to each their own and their taste buds. read more

The truffle potatoes / fries are SO GOOD. A must order. Make sure to upgrade them to the truffle fries. Absolutely delicious. This might be the best "fries" I've ever had. It's real potato and you can taste it and the texture and flavor was amazing. I was super hyped about this side of fries, I almost forgot that they overcooked my requested "medium rare" burger to fucking hell. Burger was dry. Not a fan. The grilled onions and side of potatoes saved it, plus the 2 beers I had before that definitely helped. Overall good meal, everyone was stoked, nice restaurant, good service and vibes. read more

The restaurant was virtually empty on Monday night at 6:30. They had indoor and outdoor seating which was pleasant. We sat indoors but by the opening to outdoor. Those were the c best parts of the meal. I had their Guinness stew--my husband the bacon hamburger. The stew arrived looking like gruel served to the orphans in Oliver Twist. The broth was watery and gray. It had balls of beef billed as sirloin but textured similar to hamburger. The potatoes and carrots were al dente and were great! My husband's hamburger had good bacon jam but the rest was Meh. The twisted chips ( fries) were handcut, hot , and delicious. It's a pretty location but the food is blah at best. My dog did enjoy the leftover stew. read more

New Irish Pub in town in the place of an old time favorite place here in Estes. Not sure why this place for another Irish pub but there is a huge annual Irish celebration here in town. Decorated nicely inside. Came here for try them out, we saw they are new in town. We saw they are new so decided to come try them out. First impressions is the bartender doesn't pour a Guinness like they do in Ireland. Not as fresh as in Ireland but it was good. The server was fun and friendly, my wife got a kick out of her outfit. We tried an app and the potato leak soup. The Reuben won tons not too impressive. The soup was exactly how my wife likes it. Hot thin and nicely size pieces of potato. Excellent flavor. The fish and chips was delicious, huge piece of fish cooked crispy and tender fish. The new chef came out and greeted us ask how we liked things. He's planning to change things up a bit. Nice somewhat hidden gem that just opened. The owners greeted us as we entered and were patient and excited to answer all our questions about the place as well as tell us plans. We were then quickly seated. The waiter came over, dropped off menus and we ordered adult beverages. It wasn't so loud that we could not carry on a conversation. In fact, it felt cozy and nice like being in a familiar place. The waiter returned and we ordered. Our food was quickly brought out by the staff and we dug in. It got a bit quiet as we all became involved with our meals. There was really nothing left 'to go' when we came up for air. The food was good, warm, and very filling. We got a chuckle when the waiter asked us if we wanted desert. Another time. I could see this being a place to stop in with friends and look forward to when they open the outdoor and upstairs sections. My only suggestion would be to figure out how to get some $$ and $priced items so visits can be more frequent. Regardless our group plans to return! read more

Food: Excellent! Oh wow...I am going back just for the sliders and fries. And my chocolate martini was the best I have had besides one in Boulder that I still love. Service: Very friendly and the gentleman was very informative about the menu. Ambiance: We went there a month ago. It was typical Colorado mountain type of local crowd. If you are from out of State, you might not get that statement. It was a very cold winter weekend when usually Estes Park is not as visited. I am sure this place will be packed during summer. Came in around 6:30pm on a Thursday and was surprised to see very few guests. Atmosphere is casual, wait staff is attentive and friendly. We got done hiking pretty late around 9pm. Luckily this place is open later than a lot of the other places in Estes. We walked in and were seated within minutes. I got a Guinness and the Irish Whiskey Chicken. My wife got a cup of the soup of the day which was Meatball Soup and the Raca Uan. Both meals and the soup were delicious, good portions and very flavorful. We loved the Irish music that they had playing and the whole vibe of the inside. I scheduled them 6 months ago for a welcome party for all our guests that were coming into townfor our wedding. Reiterating, 6 months ago, we talked with one of the owners regarding dates, times, pricing etc. They sent an email confirming everything we discussed. Two weeks ago we decided to check in and all of the sudden they were like no this pricing is wrong, we cannot make this happen and completely disregarding the emails and conversations we previously had. They did not hold up their end of the bargain. I would not do any type of business with this establishment as they lack the common professionalism to run a business. Their customer service is about as good as their word; rlequates to soap scum. They have no communication and lack the common decency and respect of anyone trying to do business with them. It was Saturday evening and they had live music. The singer even played Irish songs as well as more popular selections--hopefully, this guy will return. We came on a Friday night and there was live music...had to ask to be moved outside as the settings on the Amp were awful and there was a lot of feedback. Once outside, the tables were broken and the music was still unbearable. Asked the manager if the volume could be turned down so as to hopefully stop the reverb and he argued with me. The Twisted Griffin was really cool! The decor was very reminiscent of pubs I have been in Ireland. The service was great; very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the Irish Nachos (very large portion), the Reuben Wontons were delicious, and the lamb chops were excellent, sitting on top of mashed potatoes with a really good brown gravy.
