THIS STORE IS SHADY. BEWARE!!!! Went to this store to drop off my amazon package for returns. Amazon have this easy return option of just dropping your packages off without the box or shipping label. You let them scan a QR code and UPS will do the rest. Here what happen as I walked in. The clerk said I need to package my return in a box. I am returning a pair of shoes that has the shoe box but he insisted that I need to have it boxed up. Amazon didn't instructed me to do this. I return things without the box at other UPS stores with no problem. Then the clerk to sell me a plastic shipping bag for $4. This is the 3rd time this "we need the box package up" has happened to this location. I left and will go to another one near my home. Apparently, this is how this franchise owner do business here by scamming their customers. GO TO OTHER UPS STORE!!!! read more

Today I learned UPS is a franchised store so the one here charges $5 to print out a shipping slip or $3 to use the computer plus $0.25 to print... while the one on Blanding (other side of the island) charges $2. This store is terrible when it comes to excepting packages at this location. I've been told by workers to come when they open to make sure they are excepting packages. Multiple times I've been turned away because of UPS not picking up the back room. Erika is the manager and is nice. But something needs to be done between her, the franchise owner "Mahir" and UPS. She offers a 800 UPS number to call and complain which honestly is the biggest waste of time and is almost impossible to get a live body on the line about these issues. I wouldn't use any delivery service of UPS but am stuck using because of 3rd party sale. I recommend calling before wasting your time going here. read more

I went with my parents to have forms notarized. My mom will be having surgery next month so she wanted all her healthcare decisions in order just in case something bad should happen to occur to her. For the purposes of identifying the employee, he/she had long brown/black hair appeared to be transgender. He/she was very aggravated. He/she was sighing, and constantly rolling his/her wrists. He/she said outloud, "I just did about 16 notaries before you, so I'm tired." He/she then said to his/her coworker, "If anyone else comes in for a notary, tell them we don't have one." My parents and I felt extremely embarrassed as if we did something wrong or were being a bother to him/her. There were also other customers in line who heard him/her. If he/she didn't want to do the notary, all he/she had to do was decline before we got started. We paid $90 in services and didn't even finish notarizing the other documents we had because after the horrible customer service we received, we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

I can't remember the last time I gave a 1 star Yelp review. I came in here hoping to print some important documents from my computer and mail them. I tried to use their computer. It charged me $3.28 for 1 minute of use, had a user interface from the 90's and offered no way to connect to my laptop. So, I go tell the employee I'd like to print something from my computer. They charge $5 for an email but they don't have WiFi she says. She suggests I email it from my phone. I tell her it's not on my phone, it's on my computer. We repeat this conversation 1.5 more times because the fact that my document is NOT on my phone is not registering. What kind of printing and shipping provider doesn't have WiFi for customers in 2019? Time and money wasted for nothing but frustration. No apology for the inconvenience or offer to refund the money for the unusable computer services. read more

Trying to send a document via UPS to Hong Kong. Erika can't find the postal code for Hong Kong so she told me UPS just probably don't deliver to Hong Kong When I told her there are many UPS stores and UPS trucks all over HK, her response was "maybe they only send thing out from HK, you know, to places that have postal codes." Btw she also charged me the envelope. Because while I was waiting in line, I wrote the addresses on it to save time. And also I will never in a million years imagine UPS "don't deliver to Hong Kong!!!" Erika told me "you should never write anything on it until you are sure it can be send." Which is true but in this case, quite ridiculous! So for anyone out there trying to send something to Hong Kong( you know, just one of the biggest financial hub in the world) maybe go somewhere else because this UPS store can't help you. read more

Do NOT open a mailbox here. Annual rental is nearly $500 compared to $250 at nearby UPS stores- double the price! Also, after three years of overpaying for convenience I tried to cancel my mailbox. The manager refused to honor the 6 months of mail forwarding indicated in the contract and unless I renewed the mailbox at the monthly rate- that's hundreds of dollars. The manager, Erika, lied to my face and said there was no such clause in the contract (you can download and see the contract on their Local UPS Store website). I've been shocked by rude behaviour, bad service, and a dirty store with broken equipment. But now I've been confronted with bald-face lies, which is just too much. I've sought outside remediation (what a hassle) and recommend you steer clear of this rude, ripoff store. read more

I get COVID rules but they asked me to move to another space in the room, which I happily obliged. A few seconds later they asked me to move again since someone needed to use their UPS sanctioned computer. Which I again obliged- they then used the computer right next to me after I moved a third time......social distancing was not an issue then. Confrontational, unprofessional, rude employee, I believe the person's name is Erika. I had a return to Amazon with clear instructions, I was informed to not put the items in a box and to give it to the UPS employee to receive the shipping receipt. I have done this before at this location (with other employees) following the same instructions with no issues. When I got to the counter, I recall being uncomfortable as the person assisting me was rude and unprofessional before. I tried to be open-minded and figured they may have had a bad day, and also consider how hard customer facing jobs can be. I handed my package to her and she said 'that has to be in a box' I told her what I was instructed to do per Amazon, showed her my return instructions from the email Amazon sent me. She then said 'they won't take it like that, you have to buy a box or go get one'. I looked at my email again to confirm the instructions and asked her if there are any other options because of the conflicting instructions between her and Amazon. She then said, 'you can ship it like that, but if it gets damaged, you will have to pay and won't get your refund'. In a few moments what she was telling me changed from 'you can't ship it like that' to 'you can but won't get the refund if it's damaged'. Which reduced my trust in her abilities. As her story changed, so did her demeanor and the volume of her voice. It began to feel like a one-sided argument where she was the aggressor. I chose to ship the item as instructed by Amazon, and as she was scanning the item mentioned 'okay well, if they don't take it or it gets damaged, you gonna pay for it' and abruptly placed my receipt on the counter in front of me. I remained silent and uncomfortable as I placed the receipt and my phone back into my purse. She then loudly and mockingly said 'HAVE A NICE DAY', I at that point left the store without saying anything, feeling like I'd been harassed and demeaned. Looking through the Yelp reviews of this particular store, I also wonder if the case was because I am a person of color, mixed-Korean specifically and if that may be the reason for her behavior. There are many comments echoing similar poor behavior for this person and I just hope someone will listen before her behavior escalates any further. I am genuinely afraid to go to that particular store again if she is there because of her. This is unfortunate because before she started working there, it was the store I always went to due to its convenience and because the employees were always professional, helpful and non-confrontational. Someone needs to do something about that person before she does something to someone. She is a ticking time-bomb. read more

I've been shipping out of here for work for 10 years and in general I'm very happy with their service. I have had a few packages "not make it on the truck" despite being there in time, but that's just taught me to use the site near the airport for super critical deadlines. Recently I've been getting unfriendly vibes from some staff members there. I mostly do drop-offs using preprinted UPS labels and can be shipping anywhere from 1-2 light packages to 150 pounds of equipment 2 day air. Lately I've been told that they can't give me any more pouches. They will give me one for each package I bring in, and I should use my UPS account to order my own. This is irritatingly petty to squabble over MAYBE 10 cents worth of pouches compared to what my company spends on shipping. And it's inconvenient for me because I'm a field rep and my HQ (where they ship by the semi-truck) is in CT where they print adhesive labels and don't use pouches so have none to send me. Really, if a regular business customer asks for a small stack of pouches to make drop offs quicker and less work for both of us....don't be so stingy. Know your customers. Relax. By labeling my own boxes I'm SAVING you work. read more

UPS kills me. Service is good overall as a franchise, but really one person handling everything, while the line grows from 2, to 3, then to 4 and FINALLY a chick emerges from the back, answers a personal call, while asking the crowd who's next. She let the person on the phone know, she's crazy busy and hung up. Wow. At this point there were 6 people in line, while they were helping me and another customer. Guess what?!!? If you were a TEAM player, you would have helped your coworker much earlier the queue. YOU made the decision. Live with it. Unfortunately your brand forces the customer to fill out a hideously long carbon form in order to ship any item. OR you have to have an account number. THEN the agent takes that carbon form and enters it into the system, generating a label. This is HORRIBLY inefficient. OMG. I was losing brain cells. Haven't mailed something from UPS in FOREVER. Today I was reminded why. Pretty cheap to mail a medium sized parcel within CA, but a 6" x 6" to TX, $18 INSANITY. I'm going back to the post office. Thanks. The staff here is professional, friendly and helpful, but I would suggest that the owner change a policy. At FedEx Office, I can print a shipping label for $0.15 in a matter of seconds at a printer kiosk, at this UPS store they require a $3.25 computer time rental plus printing costs. From reading other reviews, it seems some policies aren't customer focused and put the clerks in a position of dealing with frustrated customers. read more

I like this spot because it is close to my office which makes it really easy to drop off mail order returns. However, they recently started charging $1 for dropping off packages for USPS even though they accept them. I am not sure if this is a company policy or unique to this store. Called ahead to make sure they would be open to accept my return. 5 stars for service I suppose although they said my package was too tall and I had to drive it over to the Oakland hub. They were nice about saying no.
