On approximately June 20th, I came into the store to ship a very unique, irreplaceable automotive part to a fabricator. I paid this store to box and ship it, and they provided me a receipt with a tracking #. Roughly a week later, after the recipient had not received the part, I tracked it. It showed "ready for pickup." It had never been sent. I went over to the store to find out what was going on, and was told that they had sent the item to the wrong recipient, but they would process it as a lost package claim. This lost one off part cost me approximately $400 to have re-fabricated, and now, over 2 months later, I don't even have the claim from the "lost package" paid. These people are beyond incompetent. Avoid like COVID. read more

I had to send two items overnight so I went to the UPS store on Blanding in Alameda. Michelle was the person who helped me and was great! She suggested using two bigger envelopes and they worked great! She gave me several shipping options for both of my shipments and was very patient with me while I decided what to do. I walked in today to fax a few things. The people working looked up and saw me & took over 3 minutes to say anything to me. (There were no other customers in the store) This is very hurtful. I hate to say this ´did this happen to me because of my race? The ppl working were just as dark or darker than I am. They may have been Indians- not sure. It's a shame. I had a lot of amazon returns I've been hoarding since it's COVID season and I didn't want to go out the house to UPS. I went in and there was no line and this young lady helped me out. This is my go to location for all ups related business. I love their new hours. They close a little later than most ups stores and are now open on Sunday's which is super helpful with all this online shopping going on nowadays. I always arrive a little late, a few minutes past their normal business hours and they still make the exception to take my packages even tho they could simply refuse. The new owners are very kind and pleasant to work with compared to the previous ones. Back at the start of 2020 when Covid was disrupting business as usual the previous owners stopped giving us receipts for our packages which caused huge issues whenever packages ended up missing or stolen so I stopped coming here but ever since the new management took over this place has been best ups store around. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews but this was ridiculous. I was bringing my Amazon package to return and was told I need to pay for tape to package it myself. It needed tape at the top of the box to seal it but everything else was in tact. I pointed out that Amazon has instructions that say "Show the return code below on your mobile device to an associate at THE UPS STORE, who will scan the QR code, PACK, and ship your return for FREE.". They said that is what Amazon says and not their policy. I called the UPS Store in Marina and they verified that the procedure is to scan the QR code and that will tell them if I have to pay for anything. Both workers at the Blanding location had an attitude of not giving a crap. Please save yourself the headache and just take Amazon returns to Marina Village instead. The UPS Store at Marina Village was way better at listening, accommodating, and following proper procedure. Avoid this store if you can. read more

I've dropped an iPhone to send back to my service carrier (contract expired & getting an upgrade) a couple years ago, and the package never made it back to the service carrier; fortunately I got a receipt to prove the last stop was at this UPS store and didn't get stuck with a fine. Today I went to drop off a couple of Amazon returns, and the clerk told me they no longer accept those at this store. He told me I can pay $2 to print the shipping label and buy a box to ship it. That did not sound right. I was on my way to San Jose, so I stopped by a UPS store down there, and they accepted my Amazon returns with a smile on their face (even gave me their guest WiFi access), and as I was leaving, I saw that they had a computer for customers to use, and black and white prints were only $0.15 each! Avoid this store unless you have no other choice. read more

Only thing negative about the location is the parking- since it's in the same area as NobHill and SB- parking is challenging but overall store and service is great! I called this UPS Store to see if they accept the Styrofoam packing popcorn one receives in items shipped in a box. Response: yes, they do take them. I stopped in to drop them off. This UPS Store is a business where one can have items shipped, legal documents notarized, rental of mail boxes, etc. They carry office supplies and greeting cards. There are plenty of copying machines, too. The lady working there gladly accepted the packing popcorn and thanked me for bringing them in. If I get more of the packing popcorn, I know where I can drop them off at - the UPS Store. read more

Great service here because upon entering the store, I noticed that I was going to be the 3rd customer in line. After waiting for about 30 seconds, another employee opened up and the line moved even faster. Just in time because other people had joined my line pretty quick. And the line grew to over six. It used to be a great store when Ava ran the UPS store. For example, I got a couch shipped by accident to the store instead of my home. She did not expect it, of course, and Ava called me to let me know about it. We were able to divert the drop-off to the correct address. Today, I went to pick up my packages - 9 boxes - but was told by the owner that they came 2 days ago but which he refused to accept. So for whatever reason he had that day and for which he has not explained to me, his refusal to accept the boxes made me lose them. These are 20x20x20 boxes, and now they are missing! I am angry that this happened, and the worst part was that the owner did not contact me about the boxes at all. I had to find out the hard way - basically by being told that they've been refused 2 days later! read more
