If rating this location zero stars was an options, I would. This lady was the most rude, ignorant human I have ever spoke to. Did I mention that I was hung up on more than once? After finally picking up she said, "I already told you what I was going to do, DO NOT call because I am not going to pickup." She was not helpful at all. This women should not be working here. ACTUALLY, she should not be employed at all. Someone with this type of attitude should really not be dealing with customers. This should be a zero stars but yelp makes you put a star. This store is completely the worst place to do business. In respond to the review comment from the owner's wife/ your employee just flat lied to your face. You should focus more in providing better customer service skills. Customers provide real reviews about how your place. You have a camera inside your store- you should watch that! Obviously, picking up an item and showing an ID is a no brainer. It was shown multiple times. He was showing signs of a over compulsive disorder. I asked for his name and he responded "get a life!" A customer should never be treated that way! Anybody would get upset for how he spoke back! He was the rude employee from the get go. Why don't you hire people that are people person rather than hiring incompetent people who are completely making up lies that a customer wouldn't show their ID. This was just a way for you to cover up the negative reviews. I'm sure you know that! Customers write real reviews about their experiences with the company especially with the employee. As a store owner, you should know better. You should read all the negative reviews people write about your business. It lacks "customer service!" Who's to blame here!? You and your weirdo employee. Why don't you focus on training your employees to be respectful or better yet hire people with skills. The nerve and audacity of that employee to make up lies and you actually believed him. The customer service here sucks. The prices are so much higher than bringing to a UPS shipping center. Mom and pop shipper who can charge any rate they want, do yourself a favor and ship straight from a ups distribution center. Crooks that just want your money!!! read more

I came to trust all my shipping to them, and they have always come through for me as I have had to ship out lots of my expensive media gear. End of my story. The story I will tell is not my own, but my sister's. She came to town to retrieve things from our childhood home and was needing to ship a lot of fragile items across the country. I strongly recommended her to this store based on my limited past experience since 2009, so she went. It turns out she ended up shipping half the stuff from here, all breakable glassware, and half the stuff from another nearby store in Burbank. She later on admitted to me that all the stuff shipped by the other store arrived broken. Whatever she shipped from this store, Sal and Sharalyn's outfit, arrived completely intact. That was 2 years ago, and it made me more confident to continue coming to this UPS Store to do all my shipping. They have always come through for me, and now I also have a PO box here. As long as I'm in LA, this is my place to ship, and I have enjoyed getting to know everyone who works here. read more

I must first apologize to Sal for having a bit of an attitude when he said that I wouldn't be able to overnight my package after I called UPS Corporate and was told that I could get it shipped overnight Here comes yet another apology for my tardiness in writing this review as I think that I had to completely get over the shock of the most AMAZING customer service that I experienced that fateful day in early May 2016. I was rushed trying to get a birthday gift to my best friend of 40+ years here overnight. Corporate said that their last pick up at that store was 6:30 and I would be able to overnight it. I break all records trying to get there the package still in the wrapping stages. Upon my arrival there are other customers in line and I was relieved as it gave me time to tie the ribbon and put it in the shipping box. Click was ticking but at last it was my turn at the counter. Hi I need to ship this overnight for delivery tomorrow I said with music in my voice and a sparkle in my eye. Not possible was what I heard. The music in my voice is turning into a quiet but you must be kidding roar and my eyes have gone from a twinkling blue to a dark shade of black I'm sure. Nooooooo!!! Came from my lips. It had to there tomorrow it's her birthday. No was the answer that kept coming from Sal. I then called Fed Ex standing in front of him as I was desperate to get the package to my friend in AZ. No such luck with FedEx. Feeling defeated after telling Sal that I had called UPS Corporate etc.. I acquiesced to sending the package to get there on Thursday. I paid my bill and was feeling really low as I haven't acknowledge my friend's birthday since I was 14. Hector the driver who had been there since I arrived and I had happily said with a smile on my face, don't leave until you get my package. He smiled and said okay. He heard the disappointment in my voice and said where does it need to go? Tucson , Az. I said in a surprised voice. He goes that's the West Coast in UPS geography. I asked him why? He makes a call and says to Sal relabel the package we'll get it there overnight for you. I'm leapt with joy and was squealing!! He said if your friend is as nice as you and as good looking ( in a very respectful way) as you the two of you must be a pair. In our youth we were quite a pair and even after 40+ years still are. A pair of what's I do not know but a pair. I couldn't have been more elated that another human actually noticed the disappointment I was feeling and took it upon himself to help the disappointment become exuberant joy in seconds. There are not many humans out there especially in a retail type of establishment that could care less about others feelings. To have someone go out of their way to put a package in the front of their truck and hand deliver to where it needed to be to make that overnight flight just spoke volumes to me. Sal of course did advise me of the additional cost that I was more than happy to pay. I was so happy I wanted to just cry. I did for a minute. Not only was I going to not disappoint my friend I also had been paid a nice compliment( which at my age is always lovely to hear)! That ladies and gentlemen is how to provide customer service above and beyond. The only company that I have found that had this level of service at over the last few years is AMAZON. That's the prime company to be used as a business model and that day UPS KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!! I will not ship from anywhere except this store from now on. Yippee!! Home run,! Touchdown! I dont know where all the "rude customer service" is coming from. I thought their customer service was not rude (very nice actually), but just done wrong. Usually I come here to return textbooks and usually do it with no problem. Unfortunately, I was charged for shipping (including) what usually Amazon pays for. read more

I entered the UPS store a frazzled mess, needing to ship four huge packages for a conference to the same hotel, but different people. As I was preparing the boxes for shipment in the UPS store, I found that I needed things I hadn't brought (Scotch tape, labels, a marker, etc.). I also realized that if I shipped the packages that day, they'd arrive before the hotel would accept them. The gentleman/owner who assisted me couldn't have been more helpful, patient, or gracious. He "lent" me the things I needed and, rather than make me lug the huge boxes home and return with them the next day, he offered to hold them at the store and ship them the next day. He also suggested that I get pre-paid labels to ship some items from the hotel to my house after the conference. This turned out to be a god send. Thanks to this wonderful man, everything went off without a hitch. Thank you, kind sir! read more

I have never had such a great experience in a mailing/shipping facility. I had to securely wrap some fragile signs (glass & mirror) for transport to a wedding ceremony in Catalina, so I needed help with packaging but did not need to ship the materials. I called in the afternoon to see if this was something they could help with - the woman who picked up the phone was incredibly helpful. She checked the sizes of each sign against the boxes they had in stock so that I wouldn't waste a trip if they didn't have what I needed. When I arrived later, approximately 30 minutes before they closed, Sal was beyond accommodating. There were several people in line and I waited patiently while he helped each of them. He then built custom boxes for each piece, doubling up on bubble wrap (one layer of small, a second layer of large) to ensure that they were safe in transit while keeping the boxes as slim as possible. He stayed a little past closing without complaint and even helped me carry the heavy boxes back out to my car. read more

Slow service, rude and if you receive a package for your mailbox good luck with being able to pick it up since they don't get around to sorting til the end of the day. The attitude for having them get a package before they actually sort through it is unbelievable. It's almost like they need to be reminded what their job is. Do not get a mailbox here if you receive packages often and want those packages before the end of the their work day since apparently they can't be bothered. 0 stars!!! read more

Bad customer service... The good reviews on here are fakes... I've tried to send packages three times from here and every time something has happened... The first time the item was lost and never sent out from the store... When I looked into it they claimed I never sent anything, but I had a receipt from the day I sent it out all they could tell me is take it up with headquarters... I gave them chance two and payed for next day, next day turned into 5 days and when I tracked the package it wasn't sent out until 3 days after I dropped it off... When I confronted the lady she told me she needed the receipt and I told her I didn't have it and that she could not look up the info on the computer to see any information on the tracking number because it was already delivered... Chance three overnight documents with confirmation and tracking, not a fat chance. This store will no longer receive my business. I gave them a chance more than once because they were the local neighborhood store but I'd rather drive across town and give my money to someone else. Customer beware "Scale Accuracy" - I arrived to return a package bought from an internet retailer. I used the original box that I received from the retailer which was shipped to my home via UPS. The UPS label on the outside of the box had the shipping weight clearly identified as 8 lbs. When returning the package, no additional items were added (the original packing slip was used to return the item with the RMA # written on the slip) thus the scale in the UPS store should have calculated a very similar weight. When the clerk gave me the shipping form to review, it stated my package weighted 11 lbs. Unfortunately, I could not contest the discrepancy in weight because the clerk placed it over the existing label. From the base weight, a dimensional weight was added that totaled 23 lbs. To ensure you are not being overcharged on the weight of your package/s, get an accurate weight of your package/s before handing over to the clerk. Other than this specific issue, everything else went smooth. read more
