I have come to this ups location several times and The owner of this store MIA never wants to help or work with the customers. Their assistant manager Daniel has a breathe issue and caused the whole store to stink w a simple sneeze and makes going inside very unpleasant. They continually throw boxes and mess with customers items after customers leave. You must send them an email before going into the store avoid a 2$ emailing fee. Unbelievable!! I wish I could give less than 1 star!! I was dropping off a prepaid UPS box and needed 2 pieces of tape to secure the sides of a small box and they wanted to charge me $1! Who charges for a PIECE of tape! Incredible! They gave the excuse of they are "independently owned and UPS does not give them money for tape". Um, I guess losing a customer and getting a bad rating is worth more to them then customer service and a piece of tape that costs them a penny. This UPS store does not give out any kind of receipts or confirmation/documentation that they received your package for shipping. As stated, "your tracking number is your receipt." Their "policy" on not printing receipts is: 1. "We receive too many packages in a day to print receipts." So, basically you're too lazy to keep track of what comes into your store? 2. "We don't want to be liable for any lost packages." Followed by, "we were nice enough in the past to print receipts, but not anymore. We've never really had problems before with lost packages." aka We had problems in the past with lost packages, but since we stopped giving out receipts, magically we have not received any complaints. I think you're better off using a drop box instead of going here. read more

I came in today to mail two small packages, I was never offered the discount that should come with holing a box at their location, and my card was charged twice. When I called the girl refused to put the manager on the line because she was going to lunch. When I asked for the managers supervisor information I was told she's the owner?! Seriously, you don't care that you've charged your customers for services you will not be giving? That's illegal. I will NEVER mail from this location and absolutely will not be renewing my contract. I just had the worst unpleasant conversation with the employee there name Daniel.. The rudest and the most incompetence person I have ever had to deal with.. I mailed a packed last week and ask them if they can track it, and he responded to me was if I use the cheapest method to mail then there won't be a tracking number to track.. If I wanted to then u should contact the post man and ask him, so I asked Daniel how can a post man track my package if he can't himself and his answer was (well I guess the postman can't either) really? What a dumb thing to say to a paying customer. I finally told that I can't deal with his stupid answer and u want speak to his manager and was told that they don't know when the manager gonna be in (he come and go) that is the answer I got. Wow. I just went in this store the other day and it was 100 degrees in there. I asked the worker if they have air conditioner, he said yes, but the owner turns it off to save money. That is abuse to the nice workers! And as one of the workers was helping me, the tall asian guy ( I'm assuming he's the manager) was yelling at the employee and was making everyone feel awkward. I'm glad to continue the chain of one star reviews. A couple of stoic and unresponsive employees generally work there. I think they might be zombies. What really set me off is their lack of enthusiasm, general unfriendliness and frugal behavior. Terrible customer service and they constantly try to Nickel and dime you. I recently tried to ship two boxes from this location. The rep behind the counter tried to tell me that she can't accept the package because it wasn't taped correctly. They would have to charge me to retape it. I informed her that it was shipped to me by UPS in the same condition and I didn't even open the package, rather applied the return shipping label and am dropping it off. She refused to accept the package. Funny thing is I dropped the package off directly at UPS and asked them if I needed to retape it. Was on a tight deadline to have a 500 lb shipment picked up by UPS and my label printer was broken. So I called up this store to request that they print, cut, and stuff my labels into pouches ahead of time so I can pick up. Gentlemen I spoke with said they could handle the job within 30 minutes and asked that I email him the files, which I did as soon as we hung up. Unfortunately, when I drove to the store to pick up my order, it was not prepared and no one knew anything about it -- the person I spoke with on the phone earlier had apparently left for the day. So I spent 15 minutes helping one of the workers prepare my order. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I had less than an hour to get back to the office to label and prepare 32 boxes before the UPS driver showed up. So every minute counted. I expressed my disappointment to the manager (Asian woman) behind the counter, but she brushed me off and mumbled under her breath that they helped me fast enough. The good news is that the order only cost $2.42. The bad news is that I barely made it back to the office in time and had to make the UPS driver wait (which they don't appreciate) while I finished labeling the boxes. With so many UPS Stores to choose from, I don't think I'll be back to this particular store. read more

This location deserves zero stars. Today, I went in to ship a package using a receiver's account, but was informed by the owner that they "no longer are allowed to ship using receiver's accounts." I informed her that I have shipped using receivers account(s) many times from this location. She was adamant that they are no longer allowed. Needless to say, I went to another UPS Store location, where I was promptly and courteously helped and shipped the packages using a receivers information. I then asked the clerk, if all UPS stores have the capacity to ship using receivers accounts, to which he replied "Yes." I told him what happened at the Irvine location on Jeffrey and he told me that she probably didn't want to ship using the receiver's account because the store does not collect the fee. Anyway, this place is bogus. The owner is cheap. Go to another location or FedEx. read more

I decided to stop here to drop off a package that was already paid by the receiver. The top of the package needed just al little bit of tape to seal it. They wanted to charge $1 for a small strip of tape. The reason or excuse is UPS does not reimburse them for it and they are privately owned. Absolutely the worst service I ever had in a store. I always bring my package ready it have seen plenty of people in the past simply email them the receipt and they print without charge, and today I walked in with a credit card and forgot my print out. Daniel Lee was the guy who helped me, he told me I need to go home to get .15cents as he can't charge me on my card for that amount. I asked if he can waive this one time as I didn't have change and come there all the time. He told me very rudely "no" and wouldn't even look at me to provide a better explanation. I asked if he thought it would make silence for me to drive home on a package due today for .15 cents and he told me it wasn't his problem. Dumb and dumber working at the store this afternoon. I needed to make a return(paid for out of pocket) and buy a box (also out of pocket), yet somehow the two idiots working kept saying they needed a UPS shipping label from me and they needed to look up the corporate account. I repeated at least three times "I am paying for both the box and the shipping fees" and yet all they keep saying is I need to present them with a shipping label. I finally handed the instructions to one of the morons and told her to read it herself. I hope these two girls stay in school because being able to comprehend and communicate in English is key if you want to work customer service. First and last time I will ship with this store. I went there earlier today to drop off a return package. I asked the lady worker(Middle Eastern) who took the package to print me a receipt. She didn't seem happy.. telling me that "Did you know you already got the tracking number? it is on THAT slip you printed." I told her Yes, I knew that. Can I still have a record printed Please? I ship via UPS store pretty frequently because I have a seller account on Amazon. Was not happy with my experience. Associate tried to up sell me on shipping service and they are such penny pinchers. $1.90 for extra packing. Took 45 minutes for them to process and seal my package. I have been a customer and box holder at UPS Store # 6127 for a couple of years and have been continually greatful for excellent service. Once I didn't have my cell phone and the owner, Duane, let me use his to contact my husband. Duane even stayed after hours for me one night when I was rushing to collect my mail and packages before the store closed at 7:00 and hit traffic and arrived late. What a horrible experience! I was trying to send an Amazon return back which required me to go to a UPS store and have them to print the label. There were no other options of printing it myself. Once the label was printed, they would not take the package because it was not in an approved UPS envelope. And, because the Amazon return was going ground, they could not provide me with one without charging me. I tried to explain to them that UPS will take it in ANY packing, even a Fed-Ex package. (My Father-in-Law retired from there so we know how it works.) The clerk was extremely rude and argumentative. From the reviews, it looks like this wasn't just my experience, but happens quite frequently. I am going to take the advice from a few other yelpers here and drive a little further to the Culver one from now on. read more

I ordered a pair of Allbirds (sneakers) and needed to return them. Allbirds makes it easy to return. You just print out a label and take it to be shipped and the shoe box itself doubles as a shipping box which is nice and eco friendly. I have made returns to Allbirds before with a different UPS store so I know the process. However an employee at this store refused to help me and told me I needed to go to the USPS store for my label. I then asked him why I've been able to use this label with UPS before and he said they can take the label if it's in a bag. (?) I then asked him why a different UPS store was able to ship the same box with the same label type before and he refused to listen to me. So I just left. I'd rather go to a different store then argue with someone who has no interest in helping me. I'll go back to the UPS store I shipped with the first time. They were wonderful and took care of everything for me as far as putting the label on and sealing my box for shipping. I would highly advise against using this store. Terrible service. read more

I'm not sure of the reviews, but I've been pleased with the store for over two years. As a small business owner, I know the phenomena of people wanting everything for free. They pay an Irvine Company premium rent and you get a great address or local access.
