Experience at this UPS location was pretty smooth when I stopped by to drop off some returns. Even though there were a ton of people at around 4pm after work, the lady at the front was nice enough to quickly process my packages. What I didn't know about UPS or at least this one was that they cared when your tape is scotch or not. At previous UPS stores, I got away with scotch and didn't know that UPS disallowed it. I think I paid about 30c for each box to be retaped, and so be aware that you may do the same. Otherwise, service is efficient here, place is clean, and they even have a 3D printing station! Tl;dr be careful when coming here with packages sealed with scotch tape. They may charge you more! read more

I recently went to this UPS store to make a copy of some apartment keys and mail a package. Apartment Keys - When I called them earlier, they seemed a bit confused but stated that they could make a copy of my keys. However, when I got there, they were only able to make a copy of some of my keys. They were not able to make a copy of the smaller mail key and laundry key because they were out of key bases for those. I wish they had told me that they couldn't make a copy of all my keys as now I would have to run to key copying place to make a copy of my smaller keys. When asked, they didn't stated they didn't know when they'd get anymore small key bases After receiving my key copies, I went home and tried to use them. None of the copied keys worked. I had to return the next day to get my keys re-copied. It seems the original girl who created the key copies used the wrong key bases. Mailing a package - Since the post office had just closed, I decided to mail my package at the UPS store. This was on a Monday. They told me that my package was slated to arrive at it's destination on Wednesday. Since they were mailing it using USPS Priority mail, I assumed that it would arrive by Wednesday as stated. They also charged extra compared to USPS ($8.50 or so compared to the $4.90 the USPS charges). My package did not arrive until the following Tuesday (when the person who received the package notified us that they received it then). read more

You can print here, which is especially nice if you're working over at Starbucks. You can also send and receive faxes, so it completes your office if you're working over at Starbucks. The people who work here are pretty cool. Overall, no complaints. read more

Jason, at this UPS store, saved the day for us, after we received, quite late in the day, the settlement documents from a sale of a property in another state. The documents required a total of 16 notarized signatures, none of which had been flagged by the settlement company for easy identification. Jason slogged through the pages with us, checked all the details, and guided us through finalizing the needed signatures. We were up against the clock to then prepare the package for overnight service. Jason stayed on task, prepared the package, and physically ran it to the UPS truck that had arrived for the last overnight pickup of the day. Instead of doing the right thing to bring customers back, they charge a dollar for a single piece of tape. Five dollar credit card minimum.

I'm a regular at The UPS Store and frequent several different locations. The location at Sharon Heights is by far my least favorite location. **Two stars because my packages are delivered as quoted. **Two stars because the customer service is quite poor. The older woman who I assume to be the owner is most unpleasant to customers and employees alike. The employees all seem to be scared of or irritated by her and it reflects in the sub-par service and high turn-over. It's also worth noting that AAA members receive a small discount on UPS shipping. However, not at this location! They say they give the discount, but have hassled me about it the last 3 times and not applied the discount. I don't know what is with the older woman who is always in the store (she could be the owner, I have no idea) but she is such a witch. She is never smiling and always seems annoyed. She is repeatedly rude to me and I come in the store often. It is just the most convienent UPS location for me. The gal with the dark hair who is always there is always nice and professional, but I always feel a weird tension in this store. I think that older woman just puts a very negative vibe in the store. I could list all the times she's given me attitude, but I'm going to just avoid her at all costs. Especially in the parking lot. She drive about 2 mph and almost backed into me the other day. This glowing review is not for UPS, but for a specific employee in the Menlo Park store in Sharon Park, Becky East. I actually had a terrible experience with UPS, and Becky was the only bright spot. I choose UPS to deliver a priceless painting (that my deceased grandmother had painted) to my sister on the East Coast. It was intended to be a house warming present, and my sister was thrilled. I spent $400+ to send the painting which never arrived. The painting is irreplaceable. Months later UPS has never been able to track down the painting and I am still awaiting a refund. All that said, Becky East was amazing throughout the process. She attended to me when I was first shipping the painting. She loved the story about the family heirloom and took great care to pack the large painting herself. When she found out it never arrived and UPS couldn't find it, Becky almost cried. She was heartbroken that the painting was lost and made it her mission to try to track it down for me. Unfortunately, despite her amazing efforts, the painting is still lost and I am still awaiting a refund. But Becky is determined and is standing by me all the way through this process to at least get me a refund. Thank you, Becky, for your outstanding customer service! If only there were more Beckys at UPS, my sister would have received her painting! read more

Drive the extra mile to go to the UPS store on El Camino. This store is pretty awful. As others have mentioned they do not offer full services which could cost you $. For example the El Camino store had a 3 day option for $40 vs this Sharon store which said they could only do the 2 day option for $200-300. And the guy there was really surly about it too. Go figure. I am not going back there ever again. Zero upside. My hope is they go out of business so a REAL UPS store/owner can take its place (or anything else really). read more

I would highly recommend that before you request packaging service from this location- you ask the specifically what time and DAY you can expect to them to complete your order! My request for 7 cartons with bubble wrap and cardboard took over 24 hours. I wasn't even expecting them to ship them- terrible communication between shifts and staffing challenges. I am a retired UPSer and I am sorry this franchise bears the logo. read more

If you get a shipping estimate by using UPS.com, don't assume you will get that rate at this UPS Store (or probably any UPS Store). I was charged $20 more, the clerk couldn't/wouldn't tell me why, and the receipt isn't itemized so I couldn't figure it out without returning to the store. Took several emails to UPS and to the store and the store visit to get to learn that while UPS has a declared value function on their website, which produces different rates, they don't mean anything. It seems UPS Stores can charge what they want. I was in too much of a hurry and too trusting to persue all the fine print on the website. Turned out I could have shipped my 40 pound package cheaper by Prioity Mail and saved a 25 mile drive. The staff were friendly, if not very informed. I will use UPS again and would use this store again, but I would do all my homework first and not walk in expecting the best rate. read more

They all made it to their destinations on time. I've also used their notary services, they have at least one at pretty much all business hours which is very convenient. I usually ship via FedEx on Marsh Rd. However, I thought that I would give the UPS Store a try since it's a little closer to the office. I had an extremely positive experience. Although my ground shipment to Colorado was straightforward, the woman behind the counter yesterday offered to assist me at every opportunity. She pulled up my last shipment which confirmed my shipping from address, entered my ship to address, taped my box, provided me with the receipt and circled the confirmation number while explaining that the package would arrive on Friday. The process took less maybe 5 minutes. Outstanding employee. Sorry FedEx but I'm moving my business. read more

Absolutely horrible and rude service. Do not go here. My wife was just there to get Passport photos for two of our kids. The sign on the door even states "kids passport photos". The youngest of our kids is 16 months so holding still for a photo can be understandably difficult. This is not a new process for us, we have 4 kids and have been through this will all of them. The man there was Very rude, initially flat out refusing to make more than one attempt to get a good photo and then was rude again when my wife asked him if he thought picture would be acceptable to the passport office. Outside of that, the man was also rude to another customer who came in to mail a package. Go anywhere else but this store. read more
