The UPS Store, you've done it. I've officially written my first non-restaurant review because I need to warn the world about one employee. This particular male employee with dark blond hair was working on Sunday, June 9, 2013, in the afternoon. I come here solely for my printing services because I live 5 minutes (walking) from this location and my printer ran out of ink about 6 months ago. I was surprised at how convenient and low cost their printing services are. I've always had excellent customer service... until now. As a resident of San Marino for the last 20+ years, I've never experienced such aghast customer service anywhere in the city. I like to save my files on a flash drive, and the employees are very accommodating in printing them out from the computer in the back room. They always charge me $.10 a print, period. No additional fee for saving it on a flash drive, and no additional charge for the first print. During my last trip here, I gave my flash drive to the employee and asked him to print me 4 copies (2 pages each). He then went back to print it out and came back to charge me $2.45 for 8 pages of paper. This is how the conversation went: Me: I'm sorry, I thought each print was $.10 UPS Guy: No, we charge $1 for a flash drive print because it takes time for us to print it and $.40 for the first page. After THAT, it's $.15 a page Me: I'm sorry, but I've been charged just $.10 per page without additional fees for the last 10+ times and have been told that price by multiple employees. Maybe you can explain what happened? UPS Guy: Well, I don't know what to tell you, that's been the price. You've been mischarged each time. Me: Has it always been this price? UPS Guy: Yes, well, now it's gonna sound weird because on weekends, we charge a different price for copies. But the printing is still the same. Me (confused because why the hell are you explaining copies to me): So you guys didn't just change the price recently UPS Guy: Well, we kind of changed the price last month, but we've always charged $1 for flash drive prints. Me: I've been here multiple times this last month with my flash drive and have only been charged $.10 per print still UPS Guy: Well, You've been mischarged every time Me: Was the price not communicated among all the employees? UPS Guy: Everyone should know about it; we all know about the price. Me: Well, if this price was just changed a month ago, why didn't you quote me on the price before you printed everything out? Don't you think people should know about the new price? UPS Guy: I don't know what to tell you. You've been mischarged every time. I don't even know why I was arguing about the "new" price, because clearly according to him, the old price was still wrong. OK, so I get it. There might be a new price. I'm still not convinced that's the right price for the service, though. MAYBE I've been mischarged the 10+ times I've been here. But I know one thing's for sure: this guy has terrible customer service skills. If you saw how annoyed I was, couldn't you have at least said something other than, "You've been mischarged"? There are so many different outlets he could have used. Granted, it's only an additional $1.65 I had to pay, but his attitude and demeanor made me drive a couple more miles down the road to buy a $60 cartridge to refill my printer. The reason I kept coming back is for the excellent customer service, but now I have no reason to come back. Ever. read more

Pro: + Offer service that other UPS doesn't had like a PO box alike. + Office Supplies + Nice General Manager, usually with 1 or 2 assistant. + Would gave receipt for prepaid label package. Con: - Parking can be a bit messy but is a popular location. read more

This store is awesome! I usually drop all of my packages here when I ship through UPS. The UPS store offers different services such as package delivery, packing your stuff into various boxes and notary services. You can also schedule to have bigger items shipped from the UPS store. They do offer oversized shipping. Just remember that when you drop your packages off at the UPS store be aware of the UPS actual ship times. UPS ground only ships Monday-Friday so factor that in when you ship your packages. The tracking numbers that are used through UPS are super reliable. You can actually see where your packages are at and when you will actually get them! The people inside are really friendly and attentive. They are constantly asking if you need to be helped. They even offer you a printable receipt with your confirmation numbers at no charge. This is cool if you want a physical hard copy of your tracking number for your records. I usually decline though as I have the tracking number on my Paypal account. Most UPS stores have a public notary and they also offer mailbox services. I used their notary service. It took a whooping 2 min to finish my transaction with the notary. She was polite, super nice and didn't throw any type of attitude or anything. Plus it was super cheap. When I was originally looking for notary service, I called my bank and they said they only do notary services for bank business. Parking at this UPS store is easy as there are spaces in front on Huntington Dr. If you cannot find parking you can park behind in their lot that they share with the Starbucks. Park, walk into the store, drop your packages off and you're done! Go to the Huntington UPS store for all of your packing needs. Sometimes it is cheaper to ship UPS than the USPS and vice versa. Be sure to compare the two services. read more

After I moved to this area I visit this store almost every day, and until this morning I would always have 5 stars. However, this noon when I dropped off a small package with UPS label and I didn't need a receipt, as usual, I put it on their desks, carefully. Suddenly a bold man with light skin, striped mask, yelled me:" you cannot cut the line!!! Did you see one lady ahead of you?!" I was shocked and answered: " yes I saw, but she is waiting for your assistance, and I just drop off a package without any receipt needed." He was very mad and kept staring me. I asked him if I could talk to the supervisor or store manager, he said rudely:" he is not here yet, he is on his way, but I don't know when he will be here". He also said:" can you stop asking me questions? I am helping this client." Sigh! I didn't do anything wrong, and I have dropped off plenty packages without any receipts for almost 2 years in this store, most workers there are very kind and professional, but just be very careful of this bold man with very light (white) skin, he is always acting rude though this was the first time he yelled me. read more

This place is absolutely great! They have all of your shipping needs! Various sizes of envelopes, stamps, boxes, you name it! On top of this, they offer a vast variety of other services! Need a custom rubber stamp? Come here! Need new business cards? They have that service too! I would rather come here than the post office any day! read more

i sent my Package out internationally and everything seemed to go fine. then I got notified that I had to pay a Tax which I was happy to do but no one in store informed me of such a tax. But I let bygones be bygones And I paid the tax I had already spent so much money to ship it out. Then the package arrived and the tax Money hadn't appeared in there system so the recipient paid the tax I Had already paid. I went to UPS because I thought by now there service and systems would be so streamlined at this point but I guess not. Never going here again I'm trying FedEx next time. I'm sure I'm America it's much better but don't even try international it's a Nightmare. read more

Very poor service. Tried to force me to pay for THEIR printing error. I went in to print a Review book in pdf and have it bound. The young staff member took my thumb drive and went to the back. Before asking me how I wanted my pages to be printed or how it was to be bound or even give me a price he started to print my pages single sided for a 700 page document. I politely told him i wanted double sided printing. Then an older woman staff blond/brown hair in charge told him I had to pay for the printed pages since I didn't tell him I wanted double sided. Then again, he never really asked me what I wanted in the first place and never really bothered to tell me what he was doing or provide me with some type of estimate. The staff in charge was persistent in telling me I had to pay for THEIR mistake. I refused. She then said I could keep the papers and go elsewhere. In the end I told them to keep the useless papers they printed and recycle them and I went elsewhere. She even sarcastically told me "good luck on your exam." I was livid. I just left and went somewhere else. So not only did they lose money on the wasted printing/paper, they lost a customer that was willing to pay them to do the job right. I've never been treated that way before and would of never thought a UPS store would be the first ones to do it. They really need to review their ordering process and improve their customer service. BEWARE: Make sure they have your order correct before they start the job!!!! read more

I have been using them for years for my PO Box and shipping and misc office needs and the staff and managers are always helpful and are realistic about things outside their control. They have still been effective during the quarantine and I thank them for being there. read more

This UPS store by far has the best customer service. They will provide a UPS tracking # receipt. Other UPS stores don't even offer it. I don't even bother going to San Gabriel, Monterey Park, and Rosemead UPS stores and drive some extra miles for a peace of mind. Thanks! read more

I have never posted a review on Yelp before, but I need to thank Heidi Lamb, the manager, for going above and beyond the call of duty to help my elderly mother out when she heard I was getting rid of a dining room set and decided it would go perfectly in her new place. I never knew you could ship furniture through UPS before, but Heidi made it happen and I am so grateful. She gave me her personal cell. She answered questions when she was off-duty and worked hard to ensure that I was charged a fair price. She is one of those rare people who cares and doesn't hesitate to go the extra mile. Packaging there is a little pricy but the lady working was very helpful and polite. She printed my label I bought from eBay, wrapped my laptop in bubble wrap, and taped up the box for me. $7 for the packaging material and I really didn't want to spend $20 for a laptop sized box. I appreciate her offering the special box but not trying to push it on me once I told her I wasn't interested. Also opens earlier than other UPS stores in the area. read more

This place has the best customer service. I went into the store 15 minutes before closing in order to ship a bicycle (pretty big package). The girl at the counter gave me a quote for $140..quite expensive (I went to Fedex store before this to receive a quote of $120 with a discount). She told me if the height of the box is an inch shorter, the cost will go down to $80. I assumed I would have to go home and cut the box myself to adjust the height and come back the next week since I went in on Saturday. However, she cut the box and adjusted the height for me on the spot. This saved me $60 in shipping and a lot of time. This was hands down the best customer service I've ever received at a logistics store. I was able to leave the store at 5 pm sharp when the store was closing. Thanks San Marino UPS! read more

Oh my!!! I just finished reading the horrible reviews of another UPSStore that was closer to my location so I decided to come here to this one in San Marino. If I could give more stars I would! I had an Amazon package that needed returning. I needed a tape job to re-seal my box and wanted to either buy tape or pay them to do it. They were so nice and just did it for me at no charge. The UPS Store Manager Heidi was very professional, responsive and went way out of her way to help us. We ordered a large banner from a local merchant which we needed the next day. They did not have a box big enough to ship it to us and were unable to take it to the UPS Store. We called Heidi and she volunteered to pick it up and ship it to us. This saved us a 7 hour round trip drive from Lompoc. The banner arrived the next day as promised and in excellent condition. read more
