Service started out very slow, took a while to be acknowledged, and then a while for alcoholic drinks to arrive. Food made up for the services. The store is very clean looking. Plenty of TVs with just about any and every sport on at the moment you are there.

Been to this BWW a few times for games and lunch with my son. It's your typical BWW with a number of TVs playing various mainstream sporting events. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my son and father in law. We had just missed the lunch special but the regular prices weren't too far off from the special prices. Good place, nothing to complain about, would go again.

On the up swing, has good wings and over priced beverages but enough tv's to watch all the games. Stephi and Tabi took good care of us at the bar !

Seaquench is tart!

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this small restaurant / sports bar is…read morethat was attached to Suburban Bowlerama, on Queen Street, in York, Pa. Wife, daughter and myself first had three games in the alley, which went by at good time for three games. But the real treat was when some of the customers exited this little eatery as we bowled, we couldn't help but smell the food being served just behind us on the furthest end of the alleys. When we came inside, Michelle had greeted us pleasantly, and asked if I needed a chair moved as I was in a wheelchair, but the tables were perfect height and had no trouble at all getting a place to eat. ^^ A few other people were dotted around different seats as multiple TVs played various sports, as we started looking on the menus of what was making our mouths water. My daughter ordered the Nashville Hot Shrimp, Wife had the chilli, and decided to get a small speciality pizza, Ham with fig sauce ... ?... I decided to get a bowl of the creame of crab soup and sweet tea. Food took a small while to make, but when it came out, it was AMAZING. The soup was in a wide styled bowl with crackers, and no lie. It was perfect. Then my wife had started on her chilli, and she said it was exactly how her mom used to make it from North Carolina, it was THAT Good. Daughter had started on her hot shrimp and was happily bouncing in her seat as she loved the heat and the taste. Then when me and wife got done with the bowls of OMG Goodness, then she offered me a piece of her pizza, and I tell you, I NEVER Had such an outstanding combination on a pizza before as I had here. It was a white flat bread pizza, and the ham was perfect with crisp edges, but the best part was the sweet fig sauce. It was perfectly balanced with the salty meat and the sweet drizzled sauce on top. Michelle came by and asked how we were doing, and she just smiled as we told her how good the food was. She had let us know the menu was changing, and thanked us for letting her know what we liked, hopefully they will keep our choices on those menus, as they will be choices we will definitely order again, the next time we head there for bowling. So please, when you get food there at Alley Oops, tell Michelle how good your choices they are, and see when they change the menu, they keep the choices on. I couldn't recommend this food eatery place highly enough, as seeing how excellent the food is, and Michelle's pleasant personality made the day for us. We WILL be back again... ^^ Cheers and God Bless... Deaf Gryphon ^^

Great ambiance with a full bar and restaurant but some quiet areas for family's to enjoy. We were seated and despite the busy atmosphere, the service was pretty quick and accurate. I had a peach ring fishbowl that was delicious and well-balanced. I had a BLT wrap with house made chips and though tasty, I was a little disappointed with the portion size as it was a bit smaller than expected. All in all, good food, great atmosphere, and fast and friendly service! Quality: 3.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Cost: 4/5

Last Sunday, my husband and I were driving home to Baltimore from the Finger Lakes when a World Cup…read moregame we were invested in was close and exciting. We were just outside York, so we decided to stop in town to watch the end of the game. I think I searched "sports bar" or "bar with TV" on Yelp and found White Rose. We found street parking nearby (it was a Sunday afternoon) and wandered in. We found two seats at the bar and sat down. Now, we really didn't need much: a TV playing the World Cup, a few beers, and some friendly service. We almost got all three at White Rose. Their beer selection was very standard for sports bar, and we ordered a couple (I had a PBR). The service at the bar was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, it was the TVs themselves that gave us problems. They have two in the bar area and both were playing the World Cup. So the problem? This was new for me, but both of the TVs had incredibly obstructed views even when seated at the bar. (This was even after a woman sitting at the bar who wasn't watching the game offered to move seats with us so we could try to have a better view. She saw us struggling.) The one on the wall behind the bar was the obvious one to watch. Unfortunately, at least 4 or 5 seats at the end of the bar can't see that TV around the enormous wine glass rack that hangs from the ceiling to the right of the TV. I could see maybe half of that TV. There was another TV hanging from the ceiling over some tables to the left. I could see about a half of that TV too, because they have - inexplicably - light fixtures that hang from the ceiling in front of the TV. We were craning our necks in the weirdest ways and basically staring right above the guy's head sitting next to us (I think he might have thought we were staring at him). I can't speak to the food or any drinks other than standard beers, but I can say that the obstructed TVs make it a place I would not return again for the purpose of watching a sports event. Granted, they were busy, and we didn't have our choice of seats, and it might be a great bar to just hang out at. But as a sports bar, it was a complete flop for me.

We were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and welcoming, took our drink and appetizer order. She brought out our drinks and after a short time our Boom Boom Shrimp arrived, which is outstanding and very flavorful !! Our favorite here ....... The rating of 3-stars come from the food preparation on my meal which was the Cheesesteak Phil-M-Up and fries. The sub roll was the only bright spot in my meal. The sub itself tasted like an unkept, dirty, greasy grill. Not impressed. Most of the fries were soggy like they had been sitting or not drained properly. You could just taste the dirty oil !! My wife's dinner consisted of the Bone-In Combo with potato skins and she had no complaints except the side of carrots and celery which the carrots seemed old as they had sections of white coloring, questionable indeed ! The inside is always decorated very uniquely with all kind of vehicles, motorcycle signs and TVs, which is nice if you wanna watch a game or two and the place seemed fairly clean . So, in all honesty, we cannot recommend stopping in here, based upon the way the cheesesteak and fries were prepared . I would suggest that management take a good long look inside the kitchen area and they really need to change the oil and their deep fryers on a more consistent basis and if anything is prepared on the grill to make sure that they scrape the grill clean and prepare anything that requires the flat top to be cooked on that it is clean to eliminate the taste of oil and the taste of a dirty grill in their food preparation . Things definitely has changed here. The service is great, but the food is not the same. .

Whether it's the NFL Sunday Ticket, March Madness, or local Penn State games, the atmosphere is loud, proud, and electric. Arooga's built its reputation on its wings, which have consistently taken home top honors at the Buffalo Wing Festival (winning titles like "America's Next Top Restaurant Franchise" and multiple "Simply the Best" awards from Harrisburg Magazine). You can choose between: Original: Bone-in, extra-large, and crispy. Boneless: Hand-breaded and never frozen. Guiltless: Un-breaded and baked for a lower-calorie option. The real star of the show is the selection of over 30 proprietary sauces and rubs. They range from the beginner-friendly to the "I-need-a-glass-of-milk" level. Highlights include: Signature Favorites: Almost Everything (a cult classic), Kangarooga, and Coal Cracker. Sweet & Savory: Hickory Smoked Honey BBQ and Mango Habanero. Extreme Heat: Sudden Death and the infamous Ghost Face Killa. While the wings get the trophies, the strombolis (or "Bolis") are a sleeper hit on the menu. The Original Boli: A hefty blend of ham, Genoa salami, mozzarella, provolone, and--uniquely--mustard, served with a side of marinara. Buffalo Chicken Boli: Stuffed with their signature buffalo chicken dip and mozzarella, it's a massive, gooey meal that's perfect for sharing (or not). Since it first opened in 2008 (starting in Harrisburg before expanding to York), Arooga's has mastered the formula of "better-than-average" bar food. It's a Certified Green Restaurant, so you can feel a little better about that mountain of wings. If you want a quiet intimate dinner, keep driving--but if you want a beer flight, 40 different sauce options, and every game on at once, this is your spot.
