ABSOLUTELY amazing place. the ambiance was warm and welcoming. We were on the Blue Ridge scenic train and was given a coupon to visit restaurant that was 8 minutes walk away and they served good trout. So off we went to find this place and we were not disappointed at all starting with the warm welcome we received. The food and scenery was amazing but the best part was how they went all out to help us. We had our mother with us (81 years young) and the walk was hard on her so we asked if someone could PLEASE help us get back to train after meal on time. One of the managers (I think Ray) did not hesitate to take us back AFTER.... they allowed my husband to plug up his phone behind their counter so his battery would not die. The bartender was the most disrespectful person I have ever had to deal with. She yelled at the group of us for another patron talking when she started talking. She then proceeded to tell us that we could read the menu for drinks and we have eyes because she did not want to tell us what they had. The Sicilian Chef, wow. I have traveled all over the country including Italy and have never had Italian Sausage that is made and cooked like this. My husband had chicken Parmesan and we have been in Italian restaurants in New York and Chicago that couldn't even compare. Loved the orange creamsicle frozen drink. They charged us $6.00 each. They charged for refills. One person ordered the ravioli and it looked like it was cooked on the grill. They said the sauce was horrible. One person had lasagna and same complant about sauce. The waitress was good. She appeared to be the only one working the floor. I think the management is trying to hard to be something they are not. Should stick to bar food. Drink prices were good on alcohol. First thing you see when you walk in us the bar. Tables are to the right. Paper cups and paper plates.
