Great menu choices for all three meals and breakfast all day, just as a diner should have. Service is fast and seamless, with all the drink refills you'd want. We arrived for a late lunch and stayed until the early bird diner crowd arrived. That's sweet! Reasonable parking out front. I didn't notice that the main entrance is on the side. That combination results in a really plain appearance from Haddon Avenue. No stainless steel outside our other diner details. Hence, the decor inside was a pleasant surprise. We went out of our way to stop here while we were passing through based on the reviews and were surprised that the food was even better than expected! The kid's menu pancake portions were generous but the star of the show was the incredibly flavorful turmeric scrambled egg platter as well as the ciabatta breakfast sandwich which was fresh and double the size as expected. The home fries had peppers and onions and were nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. The wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate our children. A true 5 star restaurant! read more

It took about 20 minutes for my waitress to come to my table. I ordered tea and received coffee, but I didn't complain. I stuck it out and drank the coffee. The breakfast took about another 45 minutes to come out when there were about 4 other tables in the whole diner. The food was a little cold and it was alright. On the road traveling and this was a recommended diner. Love this place! Hearty and healthy options for every palate. The food is delicious! Customer service and wait staff is phenomenal. They remind me of the waitresses in Europe where service jobs are highly regarded and taken very seriously, unlike here in the states. There's usually a line to wait for a table but it moves quickly and you can shop from their deli (delicious calamata olives and pastas) or bakery items (the carrot cake is divine) while you wait in the lobby. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night, around 5:30. Parking lot was full, but the diner was almost empty. Ordered the Penne and Meatball mini meal which came with soup. I chose the chicken noodle soup, which was very good if not a bit spicy. The main course was mediocre at best. My girl ordered a ham and cheese hoagie, which was dripping (and sitting) in oil. I have not been in since covid was really disappointed my favorite server is no longer with you. The food has always been good but there are so many great restaurants in the area I can get great food anywhere I cannot get great service everywhere. There is nothing like be greeted with a heartfelt hello , taking the few precious minutes a server has to ask how you are doing and really mean it and listen. That was not the experience I had during my visit last Friday. The server was rushed appeared to be serving, seating , doing take outs and register. What an awesome diner. As we were sat down our waitress was there with water and a friendly face. We placed our drink order and settled into the menu that is not huge by diner standards but has many more options than anyone needs. I settled on a lunch special, the albacore tuna on croissant, it also came with fries, soup and a dessert for 10$!! The soup was delicious and the whole meal was fantastic. Everything was fresh and the hot items were hot and the cold items were cold. For dessert I had the cinnamon rice pudding hot and it was delicious. I'm glad my dad suggested this diner, as we're moving to this area I'm excited to have this diner in our backyard! read more

My husband and I were here on Mother's Day at breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had crabcakes to start which were very tasty. Nice amount of crabmeat. I had waffles with walnuts and banana on top sprinkled with powdered sugar with a dish of fresh whipped cream instead of butter or syrup, delicious. My husband had a plain cheeseburger which was a little overcooked but good. The manager was very friendly and said he could make anything as long as he had the ingredients. I've noticed a trend when ordering food from Westmont Diner lately, and I am not impressed with the quality of food or service. We ordered from this diner through Grubhub in January and and May 4th. The chicken marsala from the May order was mediocre - oh how I miss this dish that was best served by Five Points Diner a few years ago. Today I thought to treat myself to a nice breakfast since having worked a half day, and although I was seated quickly the service was another issue. I get it. Lunch hour rush rapidly approaching, one waitress overwhelmed by how many customers were sitting in her section so another jumps in to help out. I will give credit where credit is due and both came to check on me but that's about it for the glowing accolades. I asked for a cup of tea w/4 creams, Western omelet with one slice cheese, no hash browns and a side of crisp bacon. This order was taken by the other waitress, and then *poof! She disappears to [I assume] place my order and take care of her customers. I wait. And wait. No tea. Just a glass of iced water. Finally breakfast arrives sans the bacon and tea. I eat, and then wait...and wait for the check. Finally I get up and the 2nd waitress realizes that she never gave me the check, so we meet at the cash register. Lo and behold I'm charged for the crisp bacon that I never had. Again credit where credit is due and she offered to give me the side of bacon to go, but seriously. If I'm already at the register waiting to get rung up so I can leave, why would I wait the extra few minutes for bacon? My rationale may seem silly to some but at this point I just wanted to get out of there. I'm not sure if I'll go back at this point... read more

Our go to for fresh, local food for a quick and affordable meal. My favorite is anything Greek. They have some of the best tzatziki! You get the tzatziki! This was awesome. This is what diner food should be. I came here with a group friends that came into town for NYE. We came here for a brunch type meal after rolling out of bed on New Year's Day. Be warned that the parking lot is small so you might want to park down the street and walk a bit. Luckily we caught someone leaving and got a spot. This tiny diner, which seems bigger on the inside than the outside, was packed. To the gills packed, line waiting out the door packed. Which to me this meant the food had to be good. Oh and it was. Portions are very generous, it came out super quick and all the food was awesome. I mean I will pay the tolls to drive to/from Jersey for this kinda awesome. Don't have any complaints about this place! My husband and I have been venturing out to more places to eat and he was actually the one who recommended this place. We have gone twice and both times had the same waitress (I'm sorry I forget her name, but she is such a lovely lady) Quick and tentative and sweet with our two kids. I've gotten the waffle with bananas and walnuts both times because it's so good! My husband was satisfied with his meals as well. Said the scrapple was great. They make homemade pepper jelly that was very good as well. My daughter had kids pancakes and French toast sticks and they were amazing! Tasted like funnel cake lol. The front room is filled with cakes and pastries you can buy as well. Had samples last time we were there and they were sooooo good. Defiantly going to buy some next time we go. I initially chose this place because of Yelp reviews and because it had a one dollar ($) sign. So, I thought, "Good. I'm taking four people out to dinner. I'll be able to afford this." Yikes! When I got there and saw that burgers were in the $12-$15 range and most of the entrees were more than that, I about had a heart attack. Everyone at my table had modest burgers and it was quite an expensive meal when I hadn't really wanted to spend that much. For others looking for reviews to see how much you'll spend, you'll likely spend about $15-20 per person. The food was okay - nothing spectacular. Maybe it's the part of the country. I had a turkey burger with sweet potato fries. And, yes, the sweet potato fries cost extra. So, I had a little turkey patty (no bun) and sweet potato fries which were very, very expensive. It tasted okay, but never, ever, ever worth that kind of money. I live in an expensive area of the country, but a small patty and fries for $15. Ugh!!! Taste of the food is okay - nothing to get too excited about. The service was a little slow, too. read more

I give this zero stars for one reason. There was complete indifference to the problems I had with my meal. The worst part is that I was questioned about my concerns with great incredulity. In the end I paid for my meal and left a 20% tip. I wasn't offered a discount, nor did I ask for one. I didn't even get an apology, just silence for the most part. The location and cleanliness is good and the girl who seated me very sweet and smiling broadly. The waitress wasn't surly, but she wasn't engaging either. That wouldn't be important but the coffee was lukewarm. When she came back to the table I told her and she said she was sorry and brought me another cup, also lukewarm. The meal was so salty I couldn't eat anything but the scrambled eggs. The waitress never returned to check on me after she brought me my meal. When she finally came back (with the coffee pot) I told her about the lukewarm temp and she said, "Hmm, the pot is steaming." WRONG ANSWER. She didn't ask about my almost full plate that I had pushed aside. I asked for my bill. When she dropped it off, she said nothing. The cashier didn't ask my how my meal was, so I told him. A woman I presume was the hostess, said, "We don't salt our food". Again, WRONG RESPONSE. I told her I didn't say that but nevertheless the food was salty. She asked if I ate anything and I told her, just the eggs. She DID ask if the waitress offered me anything else, to which I responded, to which I responded, the waitress never came back after the second cup of coffee/meal delivery. I paid the cashier, left my tip and will never go back. The hostess person did go back and was inquiring about the salty meal when I left the restaurant. WHY would I complain, nicely, and then still pay for my meal, leave an unearned tip, and leave without asking for anything. Their presumption that one cannot not trust his own tastebuds and that the customer should have the burden of proof is not acceptable in an area that has a diner on evey block. I know that reviews are subjective and often a fluke (I work in a hotel and people lie) but I was clearly not a problem customer and I am truly hurt and disappointed that the staff failed to address my concerns. Eating breakfast out on Saturday is a luxury and that coffee was so looked forward to, as I have been sick all week. Others have had good experiences there obviously. I did not and would never be compelled to go back. If I were an owner/manager of a restaurant I would insist on knowing when a customer was treated with such disrespect. As a regular here I can definitely vouch that their food is the best in taste, price, and quality. The owner's mother took some nutrition classes which is why the food is so good. Very friendly staff and good menu, but I do wish they would update their early bird specials because I'm tired of picking from the same handful of things. Neat diner, unlike other diners as it's quaint and has a good feel to it. I had the Yankee pot roast....which was ok....mashed potatoes were just ok and the meat was kind of bland.
