The Win-dow is definitely a gem that I'm glad I got to experience! The staff were all so sweet and the service was pretty fast. There's a small outdoor seating area by the pickup window as well as some tables and chairs wrapped around the other side of the building. I didn't have to wait for a spot, but it seems tables turnover quickly. I got the single cheeseburger with everything on it and also got to try the Brussel sprouts and fries. Everything was 10/10. The cheeseburger itself was one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The bun was so incredibly soft and pillowy and the sauce was so delicious. The Brussel sprouts and fries were both cooked and seasoned to perfection. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll for sure be stopping by for another!

A must-visit when you're in Santa Barbara! The cheeseburger and fried chicken sandwich are both definite hits, but don't leave without trying their hand-dipped ice cream. So good and definitely worth the drive!

So dope to find this spot in SB! Frequent visitor to the LB location but this was even better. Must stop while in town!

The vine of this place is so relaxing and chill. The staff were super friendly! On top of that the food was great. We got a cheeseburger, kale salad and fries. Oh, and can't forget the puppy patty! I think the fries and kale salad will bring me back!

This is now become one of my favorite burger spots. I've been wanting to try the Win-dow as they have a location in LA but never came around to it while I was there. This is the perfect pre or post beach lunch and I really appreciated the affordable prices. The people working were very friendly and answered all my questions about the menu. There is plenty of outside seating which was ideal for the sunny day I came on. The line can get a tad bit long but it does move quickly. Definitely recommend this place to all burger aficionados.

Win-Dow in Santa Barbara is a must if you're craving a solid smash-style burger. The burgers are seriously amazing, simple, flavorful, and cooked just right. Definitely hits the spot without trying too hard. The vibe is super chill and laid-back, making it a great casual stop while you're in the area. Also, it's surprisingly affordable compared to a lot of other Santa Barbara spots, which is a huge plus. Quick heads up: the parking lot is pretty small since it's shared with a couple of other businesses. You're better off walking over or parking at one of the nearby garages (which are usually free for the first 70 minutes or so). I've heard there's one in LA too but haven't tried itthis Santa Barbara location though? Awesome. Definitely coming back.

The Window is always buzzing with people at all hours of the day. They serve amazing burgers. The buns are soft, but not soggy. The patties are perfectly charred and the toppings melt together beautifully to create the most solid, yet simple burger I've had in a while. I was most excited about their dipped cones, which are fresh and creamy. The peanut buddy is a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, covered in a crunchy but smooth peanut coating. Wonderful, wonderful, amazing place with lots of seating and parking! The outdoor patio has lots of bugs flying around :( but we sat on the stools near the street and had no problems there.

The young woman with the septum piercing was absolutely lovely who took our order.... I think her name was alissa. The food is absolutely delicious with FANTASTIC prices.... Great addition to Santa Barbara.

I ate lunch at the Santa Barbara Win-dow location. I ordered the grain bowl with a patty added. It was a great deal for $10. And SO nice to have fast food that is not all grease. Thanks!! The bowl had brown rice, pickled fennel, roasted broccolini, carrot ribbons, kale, cilantro, and radish on it. It came with a small dressing which was delicious! I enjoyed the bowl and would def come here again.

Dang. What a great burger experience. Worth the hype. We tried their cheeseburger and their double cheeseburger. The buns were buttery soft and the meat was perfect. My biggest worry with smash burgers are that they always tend to be greasy but not these! Also the portion size was perfect. We each got fries as well. They were perfectly crunchy. How all fries should taste. We got two sauces: their house sauce (think thousand island) and jalapeño. The house sauce was my favorite for the burger and fries but the jalepeno would be great on a chicken sandwich (which they have!). One of the big winners of the night was their milkshake. We got their local strawberry. It was perfectly creamy and the strawberries tasted hella fresh. Would highly recommend. Everyone that worked there was lovely and fast. It's a small joint where you order at the window and the call out your name. There's seating around the location on either side with only about 4 true tables so when it gets busy I could forsee big groups having a hard time finding a spot to sit. We walked here but there was a parking lot behind it with some spots. Please note that a lot of people got food to go by parking on the street and jumping out.

This is officially my favorite Smashburger in town (sorry, Third Window)! Their prices are super reasonable and the food is delicious! The massive lines have gone down since this place first opened in Santa Barbara. I've also had the SB Grain Bowl made with brown rice, six veggies, two seeds, and soft egg which is pretty yummy too. I was still pretty hungry though after eating, it so next time I added a Patty. Parking can be difficult, but can usually be found on the street if the small parking lot which it shares with Lighthouse Coffee and other businesses is full.

First time and it was Outstanding. The burger was so yummy and tender to eat. So much flavor. The frys with ranch were also yummy. Outdoor small seating area makes it feel like Santa Barbara. Seems like a small habit kind of place but the burger was absolutely delicious. Order at window and pick up when number is called. Quick burger spot. Highly recommended.

Good amount of meat for a smashed burger, and reasonably priced. Good house sauce that pairs well with the flavor of the meat!

My sister LOVED the avocado egg rolls, which have mango in them and were definitely a fun twist. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the prosciutto and arugula flatbread. The prosciutto was sliced pretty thick and cooked almost like bacon, which just wasn't what I was expecting. And the margaritas!! We tried the skinny, guava, and spicy mango and ALL three were excellent. I also loved being able to split and pay the bill ourselves on the little kiosk at the table. No waiting around for the check, which is such a nice touch! Fun atmosphere, great service, good food and EXCELLENT margaritas. I would definitely come back! Only took pictures of the drinks because we were too hungry lol.

Funk in Public…read more Family-owned and operated local chain of restaurants and butcher shops that's been serving the Santa Barbara community for over fifty years (ca. 1973). This location is in Santa Barbara's "Funk Zone" district, which was formerly an industrial area that's turned into a wine and art district full of interesting places to gander. The Good: * Huge dog-friendly covered outdoor seating * Full lineup of their signature Shalhoob craft beers. They also have fermented grapes and liquor, if beer isn't your jam. * Service was friendly and welcoming. * Street Parking and City-owned lots, as well. The lots are your best bet, and they're free for a short while. * Prices are very reasonable for a BBQ place. * The Street Corn app might be the best thing we ate here as the corn was super fresh right off the cob, and the Chipotle aioli was superb. * BBQ Beans was more of a bean soup, but it was decent. * Mac & Cheese was also pretty good. Carrots enjoyed it more than I did, but I might've been grumpy from the shitty meats (more on that in a minute). The Meh: * Tritip was completely dry and tasted like it was cooked in the oven and then finished on the grill. But, I will say, at least it was edible unlike the ribs... The Ugly: * Maybe the worst ribs I've ever had. They were just completely hammered with salt and completely blew out my palate within two bites, which is a shame because they were tender and cooked well, but jfc, no amount of sauce or anything is going to save something this salty. Conclusion: Maybe we just caught them on a bad day because a place doesn't survive for over fifty years serving up meat like this. I'd be willing to give them another try someday, but I need my tongue to recover first.

I found a nice bar-height communal table inside a super cool restored warehouse with awesome indie music jamming, also surrounded by big screens and sporting events. I ordered a bottled Arnold Palmer from the bar, not realizing the bottled drinks are self-serve. Nevertheless, the bartender kindly got it for me along with a glass of ice. Now here's the best part: the very best Turkey Burger I have ever had--way better than any take-out before. It's topped with garlic aioli, avocado, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and crispy skinny onion rings, just perfect. I also ordered the fries with truffle and Parmesan--absolutely delicious, though a bit too flavorful, which overshadowed the turkey burger's flavor. It was $25 for the Lobster mac & cheese, which I would've been more open to with a bit more fish in the dish.
