I don't know if it was an off-day or what, but far from decent. We came in during lunchtime and the place was empty. We were greeted and told everyone is sitting outside on the patio, which was great since it was a nice day out. However, that's where the pluses ended. Service outside was beyond spotty and the wait at each point was 10-15 minutes (even to order drinks). There were many people who gave up and just left. What should have been a half hour lunch turned into about an hour fifteen. The food was ok, although overcooked (nothing worse than ordering a burger rare and having it come out without any pink). Overall, I'd steer clear if you can. Not worth it. read more

Attilio's is one of my favorite pizza places in town. They have excellent speciality pizzas they offer and each one I've tried is very good. The service there is also great. I always ask for one of the servers there (megan) whose been there for years, and she's amazing! Very accommodating and very sweet. Highly recommend this place! read more

Awesome service. The food is to die for. I went recently and was so excited to see that they had patio seating ready for the first nice day of spring. The staff was friendly and easy on the eyes. I had the cippino and it was excellent. So much seafood and the perfect compliment to the spring weather. My partner had the Italian sausage specialty pizza and was shocked at the size of a small. Way to much for one person but a little leftover pizza never hurt anyone ;) My new local favorite. The beer selection is ample but I would like to see a few more local beers. This was my first and last time going here. I got a groupon so I tried it. I ordered 3 small pizzas and paid the additional amount. I ordered a shrimp and bacon pizza which had about 7 1/2 shrimp on it. Most of the pieces had no shrimp and they were supposed to be marinated in lime, which I doubt. I also tried the Big Mac Pizza. Again disappointed. To much mustard for me and barely any hamburg. I would have been better off going to McDonalds. This place definitely is sparse on toppings. Not even worth a groupon. read more

Our first visit to Attilo's. They just opened a few weeks ago so I'm sure they have more stuff to do. The interior is rather stark and not really warm or inviting (not really any decor going on, hope they work on that) and the inside space is smaller than it appeared to be from the outside. That being said we were greeted promptly and seated politely. We sat in the lower dining room. It can be a bit loud with larger groups, especially kids. But it is a family restaurant! Menu consists of pizzas, many specialty and build your own. Also a really nice variety of salads, sandwiches and burgers. Beer, wine and a variety of soft drinks as you'd expect. We felt the prices were right in line for the area. We chose two salads, a small pizza and a burger for our son. I was really excited to try the hand cut fries that came with the burger but wish they had been left in a little longer so they were a bit more crispy for my taste. Kidlet eats his burger plain with just cheese but the flavor of the meat was really nice and the roll was fresh and tasty. Our salads were excellent and great sized portions. Mine had figs, candied walnuts, orange segments and brie among really nice fresh greens, dressed perfectly. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his as well. The pizza was good and the small was plenty enough to share for two. In fact, we should have not eaten the whole thing after those salads! Thin crust, nice and crispy on the edges with a few little burnt bubbles, which I don't mind. We had the mushroom pizza. I was a little worried when it said that there was rosemary on it because sometimes the rosemary can be overpowering. It wasn't, they did it really well with a drizzle of nice balsamic. Then, dessert - we had the carrot cake and it rocked! House made and really wonderful. Moist and crumbly with coconut. A not too sweet cream cheese frosting with a dollop of whipped cream and a strawberry. We were fighting over the last of the crumbs! Overall, a nice experience and we will return. There are lots of things on the menu we want to try! Kidlet is looking forward to the addition of the fish to their fish tank! read more

One of the best restaurants in Simsbury a few years ago has really gone downhill. I don't know if the change of the name has anything to do with it but the quality of food has diminished over the last 12 months or so. Pizza is often burnt, portion sizes are down and overall unsatisfied as a family when we used to be so excited to order from there. This was my first time visiting Attilio's, and it was a great experience! Two girl friends of mine decided to meet up after putting our little boys to bed for a much needed glass of wine and some appetizers! I really was impressed from start to finish. We ended up at the bar, but I checked out the pizzeria portion first and it looked like a great place to come with my husband and toddler, it was open and nicely decorated but also comfortable for a family dinner!:) On my way to the bar I noticed a large room and thought how great of a space this would be for a function, it has hard wood floors and plenty of space, and abuts the bar area which is perfect. The bartender was super sweet and very attentive, and one of the owners named Sean stopped by to chat with us. The three of us had glasses of Rieslings and Sauvignon Blanc and we tried the fried asparagus appetizer with cucumber wasabi dressing which was delish! We will definitely be back, can't wait to try on one of their specialty pizzas I saw on the menu. read more

I have been to Atillio's a few times now and cannot get enough! The pizza is amazing, by far the best in the area. It is true Italian style pizza. The salted crust is the best! The Jeff Olsen pizza is.my favorite. If you have not.tried the pizza, you are missing out. The wings and the pecan goat cheese salad are to die for! I cannot wait to go back!! Ordered the eggplant grinder and it was truly awful. Very little eggplant on it and the sauce had a tang to it that was lousy. My friend had the chicken cesear salad which was pretty decent. Just don't expect great things and if the grinder is typical, then stay away from them as he was crazy frugal with the eggplant which costs very little. read more

We ordered a pizza and a chicken parmesan grinder and they were both really good. I do wish they made the grinders with more sauce and a little more chicken - it seemed kind of small. We've gone here a number of times and the quality is consistent and the food is always fresh and delicious. Other really good items we've had are French onion soup and eggplant fries - SO good!! This is a good place to go if you like Italian and they have other types of food too. Also good for groups and they have a decent variety of beer. I never went to Apollo's, so I can't speak to whether or not this place is better/worse, but the four-cheese and olive pizza we got was amazing (I can't stop thinking about the truffle honey drizzle) and my fresh Greek salad had giant slabs of feta in it, so Little City has just been overtaken, as far as our family is concerned. read more

So disappointed. Ordered food for delivery. The grinder order was switched - the whole grinder came as just a 1/2 and the 1/2 grinder came as a whole. The chicken parm patty and eggplant were overcooked (to the point of almost appearing to be burnt), very dry and chewy. We asked for extra sauce on the grinders and there was barely any marinara sauce at all on the grinder. The roasted green peppers on the sandwiches were definitely not roasted. The only good part of this meal was the Kids Cheese Ravioli. Considering the cost of the meal it was an all in all fail. Won't order from here again. read more

This place is in the Town Line Pizza building. Since they left, there have been new owners frequently. This new restaurant moves away from Italian food, and into pizza, salads, sandwiches and burgers. We had a wild mushroom pizza and a burger, which were good. The pizza was better than average. Too much balsamic vinegar on both items. Service was good and quick. The atmosphere is dismal, but every other restaurant in that building had the same problem. Prices were on par with what you got. Would prefer more variety for people with special dietary needs. read more

We had a nice dinner on a Monday evening here. The restaurant was clean and cozy without being cramped. We ate on the patio, which was quite nice - shaded and separated from the sidewalk/street by foliage. The food was solid - we had a caesar salad and the pesto chicken pizza - so pretty basic fare. It was the service that compelled me to write my first Yelp review! Our hostess/server was so friendly and attentive. She had to come back several times to take our order, as we had a hard time deciding that night, but never made us feel rushed. She did a great job keeping our water glasses supplied, etc. without our feeling like she was hovering. She brought my carb-deprived children bread several times and even packed up some extra for them to take home with them (it was GREAT bread and fresh from the oven!) Solid food and great service made for a very nice evening and we will certainly be back. read more

If you are considering eating at Attilio's head for the hills! Let me preface this by saying this is the first review of a restaurant that I have ever written. So for me to sit and do this you have to believe this is heartfelt. I recently had the miss fortune of actually going through the EXPERIENCE of dining there. If you are considering this - head for the hills!!! I should have known we were in trouble from the get go. The not so pleasant hostess told our party of 5 it was a twenty minute wait for a table. Then after she sat the people that came after us and we had the audacity ask about the wait, she said "did you put your name down?". It's not like there was a line out the door. Long story short, we waited about an hour for two sandwiches, a bowl of pasta, grill cheese, clam chowder and chicken tenders. I guess the delay allowed them to burn the bread on 1/2 of each sandwich; no joke. Was I sending it back? For what? Another hour wait or the not so pleasant hostess to sit me in the parking lot next? If I could post the picture of the quality meal I would. Bottom line is that no one cared about anything in this place. If its family owned, as I hear it may be, they best start bringing in management from outside 'the family'. With Pepperoni's, Joe Pizza, Little City and Little Mazen in town don't waste your hard earned dollars at Attlio's. If my car broke down in their parking lot and I was starving, I'd walk across the street and at eat the Blue Fox Bowling Alley before I'd try their burnt sandwich and frowns again. read more

This was my first time here, but my mom had been in before. She had a pizza last time and said it was delicious. We were seated and drink orders were taken quickly. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. My mom had a burger with sweet potato fries. It came with veggies (lettuce, tomato, etc) on the side. The presentation was something I seldom see. I tried the fries and they were possibly the best that I have ever eaten- they were that good. I had an enormous salad as my main course which was very filling. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. We saw someone being served an amazing looking lasagna. I would assume by the way that he devoured it, that it too was delicious. The restaurant was busy and filling up even more as we left. Bottom line, this is not just another restaurant with a cook in the kitchen. The person preparing this food is a chef. This is clear based on presentation and taste. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time. read more

My family and I went to check out Attilio's and we were quickly seated, our server promptly came over and through out our whole dinner refreshed our drinks and checked to make sure we were happy with everything. We started with the Onion Rings (what came out was a heaping pile of big, delicious onion rings) along with a tasty unique dipping sauce.We ordered some burgers and a grilled chicken they all came with hand cut fries (they were so good), we also ordered a cheese pizza and the Shrimp and Bacon Pizza (shrimp was big and the blend of everything on the pizza was amazing). There are two members of our family who are quite picky eaters and Attilio's was great about accommodating them. Although we felt like we had no room for dessert we ended up getting strawberries on top of chocolate nutella with some powdered sugar on pizza dough, it was scrumptious. Its a must try! The atmosphere fit into what we like (the baseball game was on TV). The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the sauce was very tasty. We can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. read more
