Food was horrific. First off, order totally wrong. Shrimp covered in layers of disgusting dough. Ordered 4 crab Rangoon's... Omg why? Full of cream cheese zero crab not even the juice. Don't waste your money. Thank God I was able to recover it from Dash quick shot out to door dash never ever again. It's a NO in big letters for me. See pictures. The white isn't shrimp let's be clear. The size is soaked in dough I ended up tossing it all out!!!! Disgusting for sure. Just bread and a baby shrimp. Smh the worst part... Wasn't what I ordered ugh. Never ever again. Never eat any place that don't cook food thoroughly. Health department may need to take a look to assure safety.

Beef lo mein and mango milk tea with bubbles
    Carlie H.

First time ordering at The Wok after finding out that it's a quick stop on my commute home from work. I got the Beef Lo Mein and a mango milk bubble tea. I was somewhat disappointed with the Beef Lo Mein. The noodles and beef themselves were good, but there were more vegetables than I anticipated, including bean sprouts, which I usually omit from my orders. I did enjoy the bubble tea, which had a nice mango flavor and a decent amount of tapioca pearls. There weren't any choices for type of tea or lactose-free milk options. I will probably order again due to convenience and I'm hoping that my next order will be more satisfactory.

Very heavy, doughy dumplings. The chicken was stringy with a mushy coating. The shrimp egg roll was bland and also had a thick, doughy coating.

Not as good as I expected it. Lots of variety. Not much flavor to the food plus wasn't very fresh.

Only those who have access to Apple Pay can order online. So I guess they don't want my business. Take my $70 order elsewhere.

Tried the Sesame tofu and was not impressed. The tofu was in huge pieces and super soggy. The scallion pancakes were delicious.

I haven't been to the physical location but I've ordered Doordash twice (and it came very quickly). Both times I got the Garlic Soy Sauce Tofu Noodle with hand cut flat noodles. The portions were good sized, full of noodles, tofu, broccoli, and bok choy. It comes in a light garlic sauce and I ate most of the broccoli despite not usually being a huge fan of it. My husband got a dish with tomatoes and liked it though he was complaining there aren't appetizers on the menu. Understandable as it's a one person operation. I'd like to try the other noodle option for this dish (regular thin noodles) but the hand cut is so good I will probably keep getting it! On the website I see you can create your own dish with noodle, protein and veggie choice - this is also going on my to do list.

Friendly service, generous portions, but the flavors missed the mark…read more I stopped in at The Mercantile on Main while heading from Rochester to Ithaca, looking for a quick lunch before the journey. I initially had pizza in mind, but as someone who's traveled extensively and spent more hours than I can count exploring Chinatowns in LA, San Francisco, and NYC, I was excited to see Seasons' Noodle and decided to give it a try. The staff could not have been nicer--warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their work. I truly admire independent chefs and restaurateurs like Yan, and always try to support businesses like this. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Noodle, and while the portion was generous and the presentation solid, I left feeling a bit disappointed. The noodles themselves were nicely done, with a satisfying chew, but the dish as a whole didn't quite come together. The sauce was thin and watery, which left everything feeling separate instead of integrated. The shrimp lacked seasoning and didn't absorb or hold onto any of the sauce, which made the dish feel unbalanced--more like a bowl of ingredients than a cohesive noodle experience. Given the restaurant's inspiration from Northern China--where noodles are often hearty, robust, and well-sauced--I was hoping for something a bit more bold and unified in flavor. In Northern Chinese cuisine, the noodles and sauce should almost cling to one another, often enhanced with garlic, chili oil, or vinegar to bring depth and warmth. Here, it just felt like that final spark was missing. The Mercantile on Main itself is a cool and thoughtfully restored space with a lot of character--it's housed in the historic Sibley Building, once the largest department store between New York City and Chicago. It's now a food hall and gathering space that blends the city's history with a modern vibe. That said, on the day I visited, they were setting up for an event, which made the atmosphere a bit chaotic and distracting--probably just a case of bad timing. I don't live in Rochester, but if I did, I'd give Seasons' another try. Everyone has an off day, and maybe I just didn't order the right thing. I'm still rooting for Seasons' Noodle--because the heart and hospitality are definitely there.

Head chef Nalee Phommachanh had the vision alongside owner (and sister-in-law) Vilay Sysavath. The family- run business offers a diverse and authentic Southeast Asian menu, a quarterly rotating chef specials menu with paired rotating drinks, and a full-service bar with specialty Soju-based cocktails and other Asian-fusion beverages. My wife and I were in Rochester for a thrift show and wanted to grab some lunch. We love Vietnamese, pho is one of my favorite foods, so we decided to give them a try and we were glad we did. The restaurant is small and jam packed full of tables, but we were still able to be sat and given menus immediately around 2PM on a Saturday. We decided to order a bunch of things and share them. Obviously, we got a bowl of pho, along with an order of egg rolls, a chicken lemongrass plate, and a couple of Thai teas. Our food took a bit to come, but it was pretty busy, and we were very happy with our food. Everything was delicious. The grilled chicken from the platter had awesome lemongrass flavor, the pho's broth was flavorful, the egg rolls were absolutely amazing, and the portions were huge - we had plenty to take home afterwards. Employees were friendly, prices were comparable to similar restaurants. We'd definitely go again if in the area.

Now, when I was going to RIT (back in the day), I remember this being a Might Taco... but I'm quite delighted to see it as an OG Dumpling House location too! (Though it's probably a good thing that it wasn't a dumpling house when I was in college, because those freshman 15 would have been aaaaaaaaaall because of the soup dumplings.) You can order takeout or sit in the restaurant. Our getting offered a table when we first got there was a bit discombobulated, but we were asked after a few minutes if we wanted to sit or takeout and we confirmed we wanted to eat in the restaurant. After another minute or two, we were given our table. Because of the time waiting for our table, we had already decided on what we wanted to eat and drink... so we were able to order pretty quickly. We ordered the xiao long bao, of course, as well as steamed pork bao, and then fried green beans, fried calamari, and shumai to share. The items came out quickly enough... but as we were making our way through the plates, I was a bit surprised that our server wasn't also taking away plates that we'd finished. In most dim sum-type restaurants I've visited, it's common for the server to take finished plates away throughout the service to ensure you have room on the table for anything else that might be coming out. Since the tables in this location are perhaps a bit on the smaller side, we soon found ourselves running out of enough space to really spread out the plates to share. The soup dumplings are good... though they perhaps didn't have broth that was quite as flavorful as I'd been hoping for. I'm glad we visited, as OG Dumpling House has been on my list to try for quite a while. Now that the craving is appeased though, I'll be happy to try another one of Rochester's Chinese or dim sum-style restaurant locations.
