I've tried The Woo Hoo twice. I really want it to succeed because this could be a great addition to Beach Haven. But I'm not sure it's going to succeed if they continue as they have been. It takes a very long time to receive your order. Each person seems to have one job to do and they don't pitch in to help move things along. The food tastes good, but $7 for a regular cheeseburger that is slightly larger than a slider is too much $$. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich which she said was pretty good, but so small - again just a touch larger than a slider with a dollop of pork on it. I truly believe that if the prices were lower more families would eat here and they would spread the word and The Woohoo would become the go to place! read more

This is what beach food is supposed to be - a laid back place to grab a bite while enjoying the summer sun. You can also tell that these guys care about the food they're serving. Awesome! Delicious! And not to be missed! For years we have come to LBI (Beach Haven). And when our kids were young they enjoyed going to the then Frosted Mug. Over many past years the "mug" had closed and the lot became an eyesore. Upon our arrival this summer we were overjoyed to discover that a new business had taken the property over and in style! But that was just a taste (pun intended) of what was to come. We not only love the cheerful decor and welcoming store front, but are crazy for the HOMEMADE ice cream and freshly, made to order burgers! Try the turkey with the summer toppings. Amazing!! Can't wait to see what they have planned for 2016. Just wish they were open all year. A must go taste and enjoy family place! read more

Wanted to give this place a try because the old Frosted Mug was a family favorite for many years. We came for ice cream - the ja javing me crazy was absolutely delicious (some of the other flavors were more ordinary) but LOVE the creative spirit of the menu, the decor (they've got brightly painted picnic benches and chairs and a little area with wooden blocks for kids to play). Also, there's an elevated "stage" area where my kids safely and without interfering with other guests played while we sat and enjoyed the evening. Far more mellow and pleasant than Barry's, will definitely be back this summer to try more flavors and some food. read more

After spending the night at fantasy island, my family and I headed over to the woohoo to try their ice cream. I had the froconut soft which was amazing I loved the strawberry coconut flavor and was so happy to have a dairy-free option. The staff was so helpful and friendly and even though the line was long it didn't take long to get our ice cream. The manager, I think Sarah was her name, was super accommodating with my niece's allergies. I highly recommend this place!!! WOOHOO yipee!!! read more

This place was really great! We have two kids with nut allergies and they were extremely accommodating (separate flavors/prep area for ice cream that was nut and gluten free, no nuts in the separate kitchen area). We had the summer burger (delicious), the triple cheeseburger (very good!), and hot dog meals for the kids (ate each last bite). All the food was made with fresh ingredients and the ice cream was homemade. Great background music and ample outside seating. Hand churned local ice cream with lots of flavors. Our group of adults sampled 4 different flavors. The vanilla salted caramel had a good vein of caramel and a nice sweet/salty taste. (This was the best we tasted). The chocolate smores had plenty of chocolate flavor but not so much marshmallow or graham cracker bits. The cookie dough ice cream was also lacking significant chunks of cookie dough (could have been that particular scoop). The Minty Mallow Cookie had a spearminty zing and lots of oreo-like cookie crumble. Waffle cones were good. read more

Everything is way overpriced. I got the s'mores milkshake for $14.00 and it was average at best. It tasted like something that should have costed $5.00! Along with the s'mores ice cream base only tasting like vanilla ice cream it was topped off with a gigantic fried marshmallow which tasted of oil. The marshmallow was so big it took up half the cup and was not fully fried so it was still hard in the middle. Definitely not worth it for the price and for the drive... read more

After reading good reviews, we were excited to try this place. We were disappointed to say the least. I had the blackened fish sandwich. It was overwhelming with blackened seasoning, so much so that you couldn't taste anything else. My wife had the crab cake sandwich which she would only describe as "awful". I love this place! It is the only home-made ice cream on the island and they are excellent. There are so many different rotating flavors to the menu and they are all so good. it was very creamy and flavorful. My favorite is the blueberry ice cream. They use fresh blueberries for it, and there are pieces of blueberry in the ice cream. I've also had the home-made hot dogs which are delicious. I am a frequent customer. read more

I was looking forward to trying this place since they touted accommodating food allergies and everything being made fresh. My experience was not that great. Couldn't get the crab cake made gluten free, which I can easily overlook, but settled on a wrap being made as a salad, which was just lettuce with chicken, tomato, and a few pieces of bacon. The food was ok but not what I was expecting from the description. Also, I was quite bothered by the inappropriate music they were playing (lots of cursing) as I was there with my two young children; definitely not very family friendly. read more

I took my daughters and their middle school friends here for dessert. The home made ice cream really makes a difference and the service was great. There is plenty of parking and they had ample outside seating (both under cover and under the stars). It was definitely worth the drive. My only regret is that we already ate dinner. I had no idea that had a full menu of food. It all looked delicious. Next time we'll plan ahead. read more

WooHoo ! The most amazing homemade ice cream. Creamy, not too sweet ... you definitely taste the flavor, not the sugar...very natural. Ice Cream the way it should be made. I found the owners to be very kind. Since it was off season, they went over and beyond giving me their cell phone number to order an ice cream cake for my son's birthday. Which my son LOVED. We loved this restaurant. Great ingredients make great food! This is a kid friendly place with blocks to play with and fun brightly colored furniture! They recycle everything and even compost left over food. We had a crab cake sandwich which was perfectly cooked and light and fluffy! We also has a magi sandwich with a great spice rub and toasted bun! The atmosphere was very relaxing with fun music and it is set back from the street so it is quiet! We were hopeful that this would be a new hidden gem - but this was a total flop. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff sweet, but the food was downright terrible. The summer burger tasted like anything but a burger. Even the "homemade hotdogs" were awful. My kids couldn't gag down more than a bite and upon inspection - because how can you mess up a hotdog?! - my husband took a bite and had to spit it out. The only silver lining was his pulled pork sandwich and the fries. Those were edible and actually delicious. read more

The ice cream is very good tasting with a creamy and silky texture. I had the Brown Butter Pecan ice cream and it may have been the best butter pecan ice cream I have ever had anywhere. The peanut butter and chocolate were also very tasty. If you are on LBI, it would be worth your time to stop there. read more

We went here for the first time this past weekend. We were looking for a fast cheap breakfast where we didn't have to wait in line for an hour. This fit the bill! The staff was super friendly and the food was very good. It came out fast and hot. I also noticed that the supported some of the other local shops near them. I thought that was great. Tried this place for the first time - was super excited about it because the decor is fun, laid back and beachy. However, our order was served to someone else (there was only another family there), after our food was thumbed through by someone else it was given to us. Yuck. Food is SMALL - burgers and fish sandwiches were extremely small - slider size. If Woo Hoo wants to make it, they better start paying attention to what really counts: The food and service.
