Burgers and fries and lemonade
Liliana H.

Amazing and kind service. Only forgot to tell us lemonade was refill but we did get some refill at the end. All good was great. Smash burger and chicken and fries. I noticed the fancy fries had some pepperoncinis in it, wish I ordered extra to put in my burger too. Overall very tasty and I'd come again. Outdoors was great weather under the umbrella on Mother's Day weekend. Only thing is someone was trying to save the spot for other people who weren't there yet. Thankfully they did give us the table.

The chicken sandwich was awesome. Good size portion and they're generous with sauce on the side. Great flavor and juicy chicken! The location also had a nice outdoor area to enjoy eating at. I heard that the burgers aren't as good though - would recommend the chicken sandwich instead!

The Yard is definitely a family-friendly spot and one of our go-to places to meet friends. We brought our dog along this time, which is always a plus for us. This wasn't our first visit, and once again, everything was great. I wish I had snapped a photo of the food, but we've consistently been more than satisfied every time we come. It's usually pretty busy, but we've noticed it starts to quiet down around 7 p.m., so that's a good time to come if you prefer a more relaxed vibe. They've got large TVs playing games, which adds to the fun atmosphere. The cocktails were delicious. My root beer old fashioned had the perfect hint of root beer without being overpowering, and my wife's spicy margarita tasted super fresh with just the right amount of jalapeño heat. We shared the chicken sandwich (a favorite from our last visit) along with the crinkle-cut fries and their ranch, which is honestly out of this world. Another great experience at The Yard, we'll definitely be back!

Coconut pineapple pina colada

While in Brentwood we decided to check this place out. Small indoor seating and large outdoor seating area. Lots of room for the kiddos. Good crowd on a Sunday afternoon. Service was good. The smash burger was ok. Maybe it would be better with grilled buns, lettuce and tomato. We enjoyed the filthy fries, though I'd ask for less toppings. The fries on the bottom were drowned in sauce and cheese. We also had the coconut pineapple coladas. Very good. All in all, our lunch was ok. Would I drive out here just to eat here, no.

Smash Burger Filthy Fries

Smash burger was a bit disappointing. Bun wasn't toasted, so the bite was underwhelming. The patty was also not entirely smashed, and it was kind of dry. Still alright to snack on with friends. The fries themselves were good, the crinkle cut gives it a nice crisp and a nice, soft inside. The toppings were good too, some would say it was a bit much but I think the fries were the better item I got by far.

Great place to hang out with friends and the kids! Everything on the menu tastes great and their bar mixes up some really good refreshing drinks. Their smash burger and chicken sando are my 2 favorite menu items but you really can't go wrong with any choice. Plus they have a dedicated frier for their fries so it's a gluten free option as well!

The burgers are so delicious fries are so yummy very crispy. And they have a full bar .. We went for the first time to celebrate my daughters birthday.. all my family members enjoy it.

Got the chicken salad ask for grilled chicken and got old dry chicken thighs that have probably been sitting out! Looks like a great place but if you cant even give a decent salad you suck! This was my first time here

Dirty glasses sticky tables

Went on Sunday, wasn't busy, but lots of tables were left with dirty glasses, food scattered about, floor dirty with scraps and trash. Ordered one beer and fries and a mocktail and came away with paying $35! Fries were ok and "free" sauce provided BUT heck that's expensive especially when the floors and tables are sticky and dirty. Not sure we're rushing back unfortunately. Check out the photo of the stale mint "bush" that was thrown in the mocktail ...,

Came to Brentwood to try this place specifically it was a suggestion on my insta feed. The videos made it look way better then it actually is. Overall it was just okay. The smash burgers are so greasy the bottom bun was soggy and I would say over all everything was over seasoned so salty. The flavors were all very overpowering making it tough to experience and enjoy each element of the food. Also the indoor seating is limited and when a large party is sitting like a vulture to take your table it makes the visit slightly uncomfortable. Overall the food was decent it's not bad but could definitely improve.

Lemonade
Eric B.

Nothing special. I got the double and the filthy fries. The sauce they use both on the burgers and fries has some kick. The burger was decent, however I wanted the patty edges more crispy. The onions were really good. As for my lemonade, it was super watered down. The service wasn't too bad. They took our order and gave us a buzzer to let us know when our order was ready. The ambiance inside was tiny with 3 table. The outside is where it's at. Lots of picnic benches they even have Jenga and corn hole. The chicken sandwich I saw someone get looks good. I would come back for that. I might be back.

When I came back, there was a lot more people music was playing, and I sat at the bar waited for the bartender for over an hour, and there were two behind the bar. They totally just ignored me. I was quiet I wasn't acknowledged at all I tried to raise my hand to get their attention and they just totally acted like they didn't want to be there and we're just helping the people they knew it was a horrible experience as I talked to a few of the locals that go there they said that yeah the bartenders are not very friendly unless they know you well then why the heck would anybody want to go there? I was very disappointed and that will be the last time that I go there I will take my business and my friends to the local spot around the corner. The drink that I finally got because a man had to wave down the bartender and said she's been waiting wasn't even made correctly. It was a simple, three ingredient drink, and yet a bartender he screwed up. I did not complain. I let it go. I paid my bill, which was higher than it should've been and I still tipped well, even though I probably shouldn't have tipped because he did not deserve it because of the service and serving me not what I ordered, but that's not me so I tipped had my cocktail talk to a few people and left. That will definitely be my last time ever going there.

Unfortunately, the bar and the kitchen just didn't deliver. My Gin & Tonic was a hazard; it was so completely overloaded with peppercorns that I felt like I was chewing my drink and had to spit them out after every sip. For food, the corn elote lacked balance, and the scallops--which arrived swimming in a soup instead of a puree--tasted noticeably off. The chicken parm was entirely forgettable. With these kinds of texture and flavor issues, there's just no attention to detail in the kitchen. Even with great service, we won't be returning.

I was holding off on writing a review until I had the chance to go a few times since the new head…read morechef came in and revamped the menu. Now that I have had two dinners, on March 5th and 27th, and a recent brunch, June 6, here is what I can conclude: The Food: Everything I have tried on the menu so far has been pretty flipping delicious beautifully, but not pretentiously, presented looking and tasting like a truly from scratch kitchen (which did not seem to be the case with the previous chef/menu). Standout mains included a beef stroganoff special, the fish and chips and possibly the best shrimp and grits (might be only a weekend brunch item?) I have ever had (to the point that I am likely to go back and have it again in the next week or two) Standout apps were the raw oysters (especially the in house pickled watermelon mignonette), the pulled pork sliders, brussel sprouts and recently a new buffalo style baby back ribs with shaved celery and blue cheese crumbles (it was so good my sister would not let us finish it so that she could take the last bite home to share with my brother in law and give him pointers) Standout desserts included the bread pudding and the cream brulee. The Drinks: Cocktails had a rougher start but were excellent in June. Back in March the cocktail menu seemed a bit confused. Several drinks I tried were incredibly unbalanced (and whether that was due to bad recipes or errors while executing said recipes who knows). I feel like they might not always have had an experienced bartender behind the bar, back in March, because one time it was something as simple as a gin & tonic that was accidentally made with plain soda because the syrup had run out and no one seemed to know how to help correct the issue. Whoever revamped the cocktail menu, please accept a huge THANK YOU! I will now be drinking my way through the menu over my next several visits. The standouts recently were the exceptional clarified milk punch cocktail called Sweet Disposition and the Strawberry Letter. The Service: Excellent. Everyone I have interacted with, especially the serving staff, have been attentive and took brief moments to make kind personal connections. One even gushed about how happy they have been seeing the changes implemented by this new incoming chef. The Venue: It has a relaxed golf course club room atmosphere with a main upstairs dining room and patio seating (weather permitting). There is also a downstairs area with an additional bar and space for live music (which seems to be a regular occurrence). I appreciated the separation which allowed for distinct vibes depending on your mood. My apologies that I have no picture to share (though the food and drinks were photo worthy) I was too busy enjoying myself.
