I arrived for the appointment about five minutes early and checked in with the receptionist. Rhea, who I had the appointment with was within an earshot as her chair is only a few feet away. Rhea said she didn't have any appointments and I must have been mistaken. The receptionist checked the book and confirmed that I had an appointment. Rhea was in the middle of coloring/dying a hairpiece on a mannequin head, very sloppily from what I could see. She said she would be with me when she was done, so I sat down and waited and waited. While she was doing the coloring, lunch arrived for her. She told me she would eat her lunch and she would with me shortly. I expressed that we were already 15 minutes into my time and now she was going to eat?! So she agrees and has me sit in her chair while she eats. The extension area if the salon on the other side is super busy. Rhea starts off by asking me why I'm there. If you could see my hair, you would know while I was there. It is very thin at the top and this is a wig/extension/hair loss salon. I had come in for a consultation and I wanted advice. I thought I had come to a place that was professional. She said I should consider a topper not a wig. I didn't know what a topper was and ask to see one. She didn't have anything that was near to my color so she put a blonde streaked topper on my auburn brown hair. It looked ridiculous as the color was so off and the density of the hair was so thick compared to my crown. Another customer comes in with a hairpiece she needs styled or colored. Rhea stops my appointment to attend to her while I wait again. Rhea showed me a product that was a powder filler you put in your hair to fill in thinning spots. It was a good match for my color so I said I would buy it. The sample she used was the only one she had left, and she sold it to me as a full sized product even though it had been open and used. I was charged $30 for an opened sample. I later found this elsewhere for $25. I wasn't very satisfied with a sample hairpiece she showed me as it didn't match either in color or in its density. I left feeling very frustrated by the attitude and unprofessionalism of this salon owner, regarding the appointment time, delayed start due to he engagement when I arrived, eating during service, and taking another customer in the middle of my consultation. This was quite a while ago, yet the experience was so bad that I haven't forgotten it. I saw an ad in Diablo magazine which prompted me to finally write a review. Responding to owner's response: Glad to hear you no longer do consultations leaving that to your staff. My consultation with you was on 10/22/21 at 1:30pm. As I said in my review, it was quite a while ago but not forgotten as it was so memorable. Losing hair is traumatic no matter the cause and being treated without respect or compassion by a hair salon geared towards wigs, extensions, toppers, etc is inexcusable. I told my regular stylist at Salon 9 this story and she was angry about my experience at Celebration. I would not subject myself to a return visit.

Cameo is... an absolute piece of work. Not sure how this person is still in business…read more My long-time extensions stylist quit the hair business, so I found Cameo through a Google search. Booked on her website for a simple re-installing of my tape extensions for $75.00 (one of the most basic extension types, I had tapes for 2 years and was at the point where I could almost re-install them on my own head). At this point she was doing house calls only, so she was scheduled to come to my house at 7:00am on a Tuesday. She asked me to pick up the tape refills at Sally's the day before my appointment because she didn't have time. She sent an invoice the day before my appointment for $125 ($50 more than my original booking was priced at, she had some reasoning for this but I can't remember what it was now). Cameo showed up at my house at 7:15am, took TWO HOURS to remove and re-install my tape extensions. During those two hours (this typically takes between 30-45 mins with a skilled stylist) she ripped a bunch of the tapes from my hair because she brought oil based remover instead of alcohol based, which doesn't work the same way on certain extensions. By doing this she ruined the tape portion of about half of my extension pieces. She then asked me to wash my own hair in my shower while she cleaned the old tape off of the extensions, then she re-installed them incorrectly, lopsided, and unevenly. They started falling out later that day. I was late to work already because it took her so long, so just let it all slide and thought I would give my hairstylist in retirement a call later that day to see if she could fix the mess on my head. Went to work looking and feeling a HOT MESS, and not 7 hours later Cameo texted me asking me to pay the invoice. She charged me an extra $75 for her "extra time" spent on my hair, which meant she was expecting me to pay $200 for an absolutely botched extension re-install. I'll attach screenshots of my hair and our text conversation from there. She continued to harass me via text/call for days after this, threatening me and making me feel incredibly unsafe in my own home. There are SO many hair stylists in the Bay, please avoid this one at all costs.
