We looked up breakfast joints near us and Theo's Cozy Corner popped up. Conveniently this breakfast joint is right by our Airbnb so we made our way there. Nothing sounds more authentic than Theo's Cozy Corner. Since this was our first time in the area, we decided to drive there. Honestly, we probably could have gotten here faster if we walked. Parking is quite challenging. Luckily we found a 2 hour parking spot. And we did end up walking through the neighborhood to get there. The name, Cozy Corner is the perfect visual of this joint. It quaint, intimate and cozy. There's a handful of tables. A few bar chairs at the breakfast bar. With limited seating, we were lucky and got a table before everyone decided to pop up. It got busy super fast with guests also waiting outside. After checking out the menu, I got the steak omelet. My daughter got the eggs florentine. With her meal, coffee comes with it. She doesn't drink coffee so I took the coffee and she got an orange juice. We got our drinks and chilled till our food came out. I was quite surprised that potatoes don't automatically come with my omelet. For 23 bucks, you'd think that a few potatoes would be included. So my plate looked pretty basic with just my omelet. Maybe I have been spoiled by all my local restaurants back home to be automatically expecting them on my plate. But 4 extra bucks for potatoes was a hard pass for me. My omelet was good. There was peppers, mushrooms and cheese. Plenty of steak and it was tender. Cheese was melty in the middle. Peppers gave it a nice crunchy element to it. The mushrooms were canned but were still a nice addition. It was seasoned nicely. Overall it was a good omelet but that's all it was, just a steak omelet. It did get busy super fast so I didn't get a refill on my coffee. A refill would have been nice but they were juggling a handful of people and never was checked on. My food was good. My daughter enjoyed your florentine. Breakfast here was a great start to my stay here in Boston. I know this joint has been around for a long time ago it's great I got to experience it with my daughter.

The food was like a home cooked meal, the staff, assuming they were the owners, were so friendly and welcoming, the place is tiny but felt cozy...like a restaurant you'd want to frequent for your family breakfast! This was one of the best breakfast diners I've been to in a long time, nothing flashy just good food and a great vibe.

5-star experience at Theo's Cozy Corner this morning. Owner Theo came from Brazil in 1989, started working here as a dishwasher and bought the business a few years later. Smart man, great little corner. (Note: I asked him his story, he's attentive yet will leave you alone if you don't want to chat.) This place is clean, the menu variety is plentiful without being overwhelming. Prices are extremely reasonable. Food is fast, high quality, and tasty. I've found my go to breakfast spot when I'm in the area, I'll be back! Of note, bring your debit card for the ATM next door. Cash only.

Chicken cutlet submarine sandwich, super special

Came here on a sunday around noon for brunch, and didn't have to wait too long to be seated for a table of 3. It's a very small and cozy restaurant, with a classic diner vibe. It was very standard brunch food. The chicken in my sandwich was fried well and was very crispy, but I would have liked more lettuce and tomato in my sandwich. Nothing super memorable about the food, but the staff was very kind and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Do note that they are cash only, and there isn't an atm in the restaurant.

My daughter fell in front of Theo's Cozy Kitchen. The staff and people from the restaurant were incredibly helpful and overwhelmingly kind.. Thank you for your genuine care.

The cutest little dinner in the North End. Cash only and fantastic owners who are so friendly. They have an extensive menu but I've really only had the breakfast. It's great, large breakfasts and very good. I will say I wish they had better lattes and or more alternative milks. But definitely a must try!

Now this is a special place and I am so happy to have found it. Cozy corner indeed and it was awesome. First time here and won't be the last, I'll make my trip into Boston for here! The service and owners are outstanding. They love what they do and you see it in their passion. So so so kind and helpful! I have celiac so I need to eat gluten free and the owner gave me a few great options (and they were great!) My mom had the chocolate French toast, super sweet and extremely chocolatey but she loved it! I had the basic breakfast with eggs, ham and potatoes. The portion sizes here are massive and delicious! Made to order and made with love. Can't wait to come back!

Supreme omelet (front) and corned beef hash omelet (back). Home potatoes and toast included.

My husband and I had breakfast here today and the staff were so friendly. I had the supreme omelette (cream cheese, sweet corn and tomato inside) and my husband had the corned beef hash omelette. We enjoyed both. Both came with home potatoes (cubed) and toast. They also had numerous Brazilian dishes on the menu, in addition to breakfast. It's a small, cash-only restaurant.

Came in on a Monday morning around 11 o'clock. It was fairly busy. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and our order was taken right away. The server we had was very nice ! She was very polite. Our food came out very quickly and it was delicious! We ordered the Picanha Steak Plate & Eggs Benedict. The steak plate was great! And the eggs Benedict, in my opinion, the hollandaise sauce was a bit runny, but still a great plate! If we are ever in the state again, we will definitely be back! SIDE NOTE : If you plan on eating here be aware that this restaurant is CASH ONLY!

I visited Theo's based on the positive Yelp reviews, and I'm glad I did! Theo's is a small spot with a cozy, homely atmosphere. Just a heads-up, they only accept cash, which I didn't realize at first (but there's a small sign on a torn piece of paper inside, which I missed until I noticed everyone paying with cash). Thankfully, they were kind enough to let me go to the nearby ATM to withdraw money. I sat at the high-top area and ordered an omelet with white toast and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate came in a glass that I absolutely loved, and the omelet was good, though it could have used a little more salt and pepper. The server was friendly, and the owners (I think?) gave off a warm and welcoming vibe. Although it was a bit of a surprise with the cash-only policy, I would definitely return if I'm ever back in Boston to try out their lunch options!

    hot sausage and provolone omelet

Firstly the service is outstanding. It felt like being in someone's home in the best way possible. I had the hot sausage and provolone omelet with some of their house made hot sauce and it was divine. Mind you, i'm not a big breakfast person to begin with so that's saying a lot.

I saw a photo of these chocolate French toast on Yelp, and went there exclusively for it. They were absolutely delicious! We split them, and the plate in front of me is half of a regular order. Very generous portion! Service was great, and you can tell there are a lot of locals. Very cute cozy atmosphere as well.

    Hot sausage Italian omelette
    Anonymous L.

First off, for the tiny space they have to work with, they have mastered how to be the most efficient as possible, down to the line outside being provided menus! I had an Italian omelette with hot Italian sausage, provolone cheese and lots of peppers and onions! It was delicious! Unfortunately, after that there was nothing special...pancakes were average and NO REAL MAPLE SYRUP...a big mistake for any breakfast place! Home fries were plane and not cooked enough for my liking. The older woman there was a doll but the younger tall lady had 0 personality, don't think I saw her smile once. Overall, experience was average

We were there in July 2023. At that time their hours stated that they open everyday at 6am.

The smell of bacon was too good to keep moving past it and we decided to head inside. Best happy accident!! Any place that has staff wearing shirts that say "Stoked for yolks" and has an array of pig decor- jackpot! The small menu was deliciously stacked with breakfast and lunch options; the griddle was sizzling, there's a drink fridge, and a spot to stand and consume. My husband got a turkey and I did a ruby melt; SO GOOD! I perused the menu, and the breakfast options all looked incredible! If you find yourself on this end of Tremont and you smell amazing bacon, follow your nose to Mike and Patty's - you will not be disappointed! Also, staff was super friendly! There's a small park with shaded benches about 2 blocks away (Elliot Norton Park) which is a great place to sit down and devour the food. I ordered the Mission Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious. As of August 2026, the website lists the burrito as $14, but the price on the in-person menu was $16. I would give the burrito 4 out of 5 stars because of the way it was wrapped - about a third of the burrito was just egg and cheese and the toppings (avocado, red onion, hash browns, salsa verde, crema) were crammed on the other side of the burrito. If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot in Boston!
