No reservations and you'll most likely wait in line, but the service is so quick I doubt you'd wait more than 39 minutes. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, lots of options for all taste buds too. However, do not even try to come with a party bigger than 2 people. This place is cramped, you'll be lucky to find room for your coat. Great brunch find in North End but not sure I'd suffer through the tightness again for it. read more

My friends and I made plans to get lunch at a local place and I found Theo's through Yelp. As we walked up, we noticed a small line and the restaurant was full, which felt like a great sign for the quality of the restaurant. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, we were seated at the counter. Come prepared for a tight space, yet the quaintness feels perfect for a family owned and cozy restaurant. The staff are attentive and extremely kind. I ordered the Chocolate French Toast with a side of home fries and sausage, while my friends ordered the Steak and Eggs breakfast plate and Corned Beef and Hash breakfast plate. None of us has a thing to complain about! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were all impressed with how flavorful and large the dishes were, given how reasonably priced they are. While we were there for brunch, we also noticed they had Italian dishes (perfectly fitting, given its location in the North End), as well as Portuguese dishes. There are a multitude of options for anyone! I posted about having brunch at Theo's on my Instagram story and had so many friends express interest in either going in the future or having gone in the past with overwhelming positive experiences. I was having trouble finding a great place in downtown Boston for breakfast that opens at 6:00AM. I did what I always do in these situations and went to Yelp for help. I now know why Theo's has so many nice reviews. This little corner cafe has a great tasting breakfast with awesome customer service and the portions were huge. This is a very small restaurant that probably holds about 25 people in a very close environment. After Covid...this might make some people nervous. By the time we left there was a huge line outside the door. Crowds like this are good indicators from the locals that this is a quality restaurant. If you need to use the restroom, just ask the waitress as they will have to take you through the kitchen and downstairs to the basement. I loved this little restaurant and would go back tomorrow if I had more time in Boston. read more

This place is location on actual corner and it is small inside. When we got there, there was a wait and had to stand outside..it was drizzling. We visited Boston with our three young children (ages 8, 6, and 4) and decided to give this restaurant a try, after scouring Yelp for a non-chain establishment we could have breakfast on the Fourth of July. We made it just in time and it did NOT disappoint. We arrived shortly before closing, waited out on the sidewalk for a table to open up (and I was, in all honestly, getting a bit skeptical), and were seated with our three (hangry, sassy, whiny) lovely children. The staff made us feel like regulars, the food was SO good, portions were huge, and it's just a cute/comfortable place. Loved it! We closed the place down, but never felt rushed. It is sad that the home fries was the highlight of the plate. French toast tasted like something a kid would want to eat every day, but not me. Tasted very sugary, nothing special about it. This was a fun place. It's very very small (cozy) inside so if you're claustrophobic this isn't for you but if you like the hole in the wall vibe and good food this is definitely the place. We waited for about 25 minutes for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was WORTH IT. The place is well-named, you step in and you just thing: "wow, this is cozy". Service is fast, make sure to bring cash. I got a latte and ordered the eggs benedict which came with home fries. Both were great and overall the meal was very affordable! My friend ordered a pancake on the side, and if you're into that I'd also recommend their pancakes. They're huge and fluffy and perfectly golden brown. Walking out, we ran into the owner who started talking to us about the soccer games coming up that weekend. He was so nice and wanted to know if we enjoyed the food.
