The food was outstanding! we enjoyed the blue crabcake Benedict, it was so full of flavor and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy and the sausage gravy on top of the homemade biscuit was the best we've had in a long time. Watching the staff work together made the experience a cut above the rest. THE Theo even came over and chatted with us for a bit during the brunch rush. I can't cook an omelet at home but these folks do it right. Tell them exactly what you want and they will get it right and fast. Be sure and get the sausage links. Sausage is amazing. The coffee is hot and plenty of it. They are quick so if you got a tee time you will be on your way. If you prefer to sit at the bar and chat you can do that too. So we're on vacation here with 7 adults and it's not always easy getting a table. And we decided to go to breakfast last minute and most places were operating on a 45 minute to an hour wait. When we called Theos they said no problem come on in we have plenty of space for you which was great. The people were very pleasant and the place was clean and spacious. For was good and came out quickly. Only thing I would say is they served waffles and pancakes with a butter substitute and it wouldn't melt. A star deduction for this in my opinion. I would recommend this place and highly recommend the southern Benedict. Which is house made biscuits with sausage and scrambled eggs topped with sausage gravy. Super good! read more

We got the country Benedict and it was amazing. The sausage gravy had so much flavor. It was hard to eat there was so much. The potatoes were really good too. Just a little crunch with some hints of rosemary and other seasoning. The options were kinda overwhelming which was a good thing. We come here every time we come down. Decent place to visit. After a long drive in, this was the first food we had coming to Myrtle Beach. We originally only went because my little boy is named Theo so I wanted to take a picture of the sign I'm so glad we went! I forgot to take a picture of our food but it was spectacular (my husband had chocolate chip pancakes and bacon with coffee, I had the spinach and feta omelette with home fries, toast and sausage with an iced mocha) everything was fresh and hot and delicious. Our son (who is in a toast phase) loved the toast, but had a little bit of a fit not being able to run around from the high chair and the waitress brought him a kids menu and crayons to calm him and everyone was kind and showed true southern hospitality. We went there based off the reviews and they had outdoor seating in case the inside was too 'Covid cramped.' Pulled up and I noticed people sitting/standing outside. A closer look, I saw they were smoking on the side of the porch (first strike). Well, still decided to give it a try since the reviews were so great. Couldn't even get to the door and was greeted by people outside coughing and more cigarette smoke than I could handle (second strike). Turned around and looked on the porch to sit outdoors at the multiple tables on their big wrap around porch and they had ash trays on them! (third and final strike). This was really disappointing since they are recommended to highly and wanted to enjoy the beautiful morning with a meal outdoors. However, when greeted with cigarette smoke and ash trays where you advertise outdoor seating, we had to pass. read more

This place is really great for a rush hungry brunch as menu is selectable and prices are reasonable, also the service is fast and responsible. This place is a solid 4! Pretty on the outside, clean on the inside. Simple menu, and the food tastes GREAT. Gravy is like an ole grandmas gravy. The grits are amazing, buttery and salty. My son got the pancake and sausage link and it was good and the sausage is VERY VERY good. My guest got the crab cake Benedict and it was amazing - I'll be getting that next time. (not pictured). The next day the service was a little odd - all the golfer tables seemed to get better service. We waited a long time for our check and then to checkout. The person after us just out their cash at the register when the hostess never came. One place where the honey and I disagree, but he's paying so I just acted like it was better than it was. We had there twice during our 5 or 6 day stay. First visit, great server (Mikayla), I got an omelet (I think the Carolina), it was just kind of dry. I got the pancakes as my side, and they were very good. What I didn't say to my honey was that I felt like I tasted something burned later, like an aftertaste. Second trip, the morning we left, we were given a different server who started out great, but then sort of fell off. My honey got no drink refill, although his glass was almost empty by the time the food came. We both got 2 pancakes (just as good), 2 eggs (I asked for mine to be scrambled light, but they were too lightly cooked), and I got bacon, him sausage. The bacon was cheap looking and VERY salty. Very salty. I guess if I had my eggs cooked more (my fault, but so many places overcook them and after the dry omelet, I was afraid they would be hard), and I ate his patty sausage, and it was very good. I just feel underwhelmed by it. However, if we go to MB again, he'll insist on going again, and since he'll pay, I'll eat it. read more

Staying at Kingston Plantation so we thought to try the closest pancake house, Theo's. My 12 year old ordered the Pigs in a Blanket, which are 3 large breakfast sausages rolled in pancakes. He didn't speak during the devouring which considering his talkative nature means they were delicious. I had the Carolina Omelet.Made just as expected and served with 2 pancakes. The omelet was good, not the best, but tasty and as advertised. The pancakes were delicious. We also both had sweet iced tea that met my standards which are usually very high for this beverage. Our waiter was attentive. He engaged my son in conversation, as well as other kids near us. Kept our glasses full and was quick with service. If we return to the area, we'll be back. read more

Walking into theo's a place recommended by my friend that lives at the beach. I looked a lot like a normal breakfast dinner. Busy, lots of people, and loud, extremely loud. I was told this was the new breakfast spot and per the reviews it was pretty good. So I meet my beach family there and we enjoyed breakfast. Our server she was good, but you could tell she had a LOT on her plate and was very busy. She kept rushing around, sweating, forgetting our requested items, I felt bad for the pour lady but understood she was doing all she could with no help from her team. I ordered the Western Omelette with cheese, sour cream and salsa. It was very delicious, and friends enjoyed there food also. They also mentioned they felt underserved with the server and how busy she was. And one mentioned that it was a bit pricey for the food, especially not offering kid friendly items. The kids had to order from the adult menu and we all know kiddos can't eat that much so they wasted most of their food. Also the server mentioned to my friend when he was "planning" to order the shrimp and grits which was one of their highlights and "best featured" item on the menu that they haven't had them for a while. Her words "they aren't that good anyway, I always tell people not to get them". I thought that was a little shady for the server to talk bad about their food. I mean I like her honesty but dang lol. It's not likely we will be back when we visit but I was good for a morning starter. read more

There are almost no options if you don't eat meat, dairy or eggs. I had to order oatmeal as the menu was so bad I was scared to order home fries or anything as they were probably made with butter. Most of the staff is 75+ so it's not surprising. Edit: Even their oatmeal is instant. Yikes. read more
