They were pretty busy the whole time we were there. You can tell they get a lot of "regulars". The menu is large: lots of breakfast and lunch options. With a huge blackboard on the wall with daily specials listed. Service was wonderful, also. Attentive and caring. My husband ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He got gravy on the side. I'm guessing he liked it as there was not a crumb left on his plate when done. I ordered the chicken pot pie from the daily specials board. It wasn't as expected, but quite good. The top "crust" of the "pie" (served in a long oval dish) was a few layers of filo dough. Underneath were a lot of nice chunks of white meat chicken, peas, and other veggies. All in a cream of chicken like sauce that was very good. Forgot to mention that the pot pie came with a cup of soup. There were three choices and I got the Greek lemon soup. It needed an extra squeeze of lemon and a dash of salt, but it was decent. For dessert, we wanted to try their coconut cake, but they were out. (They close at 3). We settled for sharing a slice of some warm apple pie with whipped cream on the side. The pie was good. Breakfast specials look great. And there are a lot of other lunch items I'd like to try here as well. This is a keeper.

I'm not sure if everything is from the 50's when they first opened, but it sure looked like it was. The restaurant was spotless, and the toilet was as well. The AC was strong which was appreciated. Artwork on the walls was not our style but must have been from a local artist. Ceiling fixtures were similar to what my parent's had in the late 60's. Jessica was our server and she was professional and positive in her attitude. Could not have asked for anything more. Decided to order a turkey club on rye bread ($15) with fries which were included and share it. Some of the reviews addressed how large their portions were and photos confirmed it. Jessica brought out the sandwich which was split in the kitchen with an ample amount of fries on each plate. The fries were delicious. Obviously freshly made and not sitting around, they were crisp without being overcooked. The turkey was described as fresh roasted sliced turkey and it sure was. Bacon was plentiful and crispy along with fresh lettuce and tomato. Mayo served on the side as requested. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat a half of my half, taking the rest home for the following day. Ordered a corn muffin and chocolate chip muffin to take home and each was fresh and delicious. ($5-$6) Howley's certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area and not seeking a trendy looking place which exists all over West Palm where the food may not be as good but the vibe is what is being sold with mediocre food. There was an on-site manager who visited our table to make sure all was good. I neglected to ask her name and apologize - she was welcoming and clearly on top of her managerial duties. THIS IS NOT IT! Horrible employee at This Is It Cafe. I went for a breakfast. It was busy so I asked one of the wait staff if I could sit at one of the 7 empty tables outside. She said yes as long as I sit at one of the round ones so they could use the square ones together in case a large party arrives. I complied with no problem. Then, horrible employee (picture in post on This Is It Facebook page), who was frantically running to and fro as if the building was on fire, runs up to me, after I had ordered and says I can't sit down because there are 4 people ahead of me who are waiting for tables inside (but could be convinced to sit outside??). So she puts me as #5 on the wait list. Then I move to a dirty table with crumbs and cigarette butts on it to wait as I watch her sit 3 of the 4 people supposedly on the list within the next 2 minutes (yes I timed it), one of which who I watched walk off the street. Then she runs over to me and says I can't sit at the dirty table either because it has ants. Right after that, I peek inside and note NO-ONE is waiting for a table but I've yet to "be sat" even with tables still open. Then, I ask her why I've not been sat if everyone ahead of me has been sat and she says "I'm next on the list." I ask the cashier if she can help me. Then horrible employee comes outside to call me a liar! Wow! I mean she came out telling me in a very rude tone, "What I said was..." and I answered, "I'm not interested in any drama. I just want a table and to eat my breakfast." The she spat out, "You're a liar!" and marched off. I called behind her "Why have I still not been sat?" I guess she thinks calling me a liar when all I did was ask the cashier to help me with a table makes her feel like she can assign her duplicity to me rather than owning it herself. Meanwhile, I ordered 32 minutes ago, still have not been "sat," and have not yet received my food. Oh and of course I've seen all these tables turn over with guests who came after me while I've been sitting here waiting to be sat. This horrible employee is not fit to flip burgers at a hamburger stand let alone deal with the public. UPDATE: I ended up eating my breakfast at the dirty ants table...meanwhile one of the tables nearby has been empty the entire time I've been here. read more

This morning, a group of five of us had the pleasure of dining at This Is It Cafe in Riviera Beach, FL, and it was an absolutely superb experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and were incredibly attentive throughout our meal. Our food arrived impressively quickly, which was a pleasant surprise given how busy the cafe was. The highlight of our breakfast was undoubtedly the perfectly cooked steak. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill. And let's not forget the French toast - it was deliciously scrumdiddlyumptious! Service is horrible. If you get a waitress named Tammy don't walk but run out. She is horrible and rude and disrespectful. Just plain nasty. The food is good not great but to wait for 45 minutes for bacon and eggs I'll take my business elsewhere. I tried speaking to the owner but he was to busy. I guess that's why this place operates the way it does. There aree better places with less stress and aggravation. When you eat in a breakfast place it's supposed to be enjoyable. I've been eating here every weekend for the past couple of years and I LOVE their breakfast! I usually get an egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms, and feta cheese.
