The atmosphere was really nice. It's so cozy and inviting. The food was great. Had a yellow curry and salad & thai tea. The food was comforting and very tasty. I liked my curry & thai tea pairs well with the meal. The servers were all so nice and welcoming too! I'll definitely come back next time to try their other dishes. They also have a lunch special which is really nice.
I came by to Tho One Thai Eatery during a break time. I had gone here before a Yelp event and this was the first time coming back since then. It wasn't busy during the time I came by. I was seated quickly. The location was filled with Christmas decorations. I decided to order from the Lunch Special menu. The items offered are priced at $14.99 each. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken. The wait time wasn't bad. It came with a complimentary soup. The Pad See Ew itself tasted good overall. I think it just didn't standout for me if I had to compare it to other Pad See Ew from other Thai restaurants I go to. It also came with two fried dumplings with a sweet sauce which was definitely different as the pictures on the menu had egg rolls. The lunch menu options for the price point is adequate. I would still recommend Tho One Thai and maybe return again and try another menu item.
I was on my way home from work one night. Thought I give Tho One Thai Eatery a try. First time here for dinner. They weren't super busy. I was seated right away. Ambiance was interesting with a romantic flare. Bench seating had pillows along the wall. The gentleman server was pleasant and nice. Service was decent. Food came out at a reasonable time. I ordered 4 dishes + 1 Thai Iced Tea as I wanted to try a little of what I usually get at a Thai restaurant. Portions were fair. Prices were on the higher end IMHO. My total bill was about $85+ before tip. After tip, it was close to $100. For that cost with only two dishes that came through as better than average, unfortunately, I can't say it was worth it. - Pad Thai with chicken was bland and did not have wok flavor I was looking for. It was probably one of my least preferred dish. - Pad Woon Sen was very flavorful, but it lacked glass noodles. All seafood were fried and very tasty. This is a winning dish! - Pad See Ew with fried tofu was the highlight of my dinner. Flat rice noodles, fried tofu, and veggies were on point. I would get this dish again. - Papaya Salad with shrimp had only 2 shrimps. I didn't even see the shrimps until I dug into the salad. It should have had more shrimps for the price paid. It also tasted very lemony or vinegary. - Thai Iced Tea was the darkest Thai Ice Tea I've ever drank. It didn't have the amount of half and half that it should have had.
This is my second time back here. First time was for a Yelp Event. Came back here for a Birthday celebration. We had a reservation for 7. We were promptly seated. The table they set up for us was nicely decorated. Loved the decors. The staff that helped us was very friendly and accommodating. They can make most dishes Vegan if you ask. One person in our party is Vegan, some vegetarians, and the rest of us are carnivores (hehe). The menu looks nice, everything is categorized, which was super helpful in finding what we want. We ordered the following items: - Tom Yum Soup (Tofu) - Tho One Vegan Bomber (Vegan) - Crying Tiger sub w/ Fried Rice - Cashew Nuts Veg - Pad See Ew (Tofu) - Pad Grapow chicken (Thai Style) - Pad Kee Mao (Shrimp) - Papaya Salad (Tofu) - Sticky Rice with Mango - A Slice of Mango Cheese Cake All dishes were tasty and delicious. Loved the desserts, Sticky Rice with Mango and the Mango Cheese Cake (so yummy). We all enjoyed our dinner. We had fun celebrating. If you are craving Thai Foods and are in the area, I highly recommend you stop by and give them a try.
I really enjoy Thai cuisine and was lucky enough to have attended a Yelp event here a month ago. So, when my coworkers wanted to try a "new" Thai place for lunch, I suggested Tho One. Everyone loved it and thought that this was some of the best Thai food we've had in a long time! They offer Lunch Specials from 11AM-3 PM, and Dinner Specials from 3-5 PM. FOOD: I tried a Thai Iced Tea, which was very good...sweet, but not too sweet. We started by sharing a couple appetizers, the Crispy Wontons with ground chicken and sweet & sour dipping sauces, and the Dumplings - Mixed (half steamed, half fried) with a homemade dipping sauce. For entrees, we ordered off the Lunch Specials menu, which included a small salad and an egg roll. We had the Red Curry with Chicken and steamed rice, the Grilled Salmon with broccoli and steamed rice, and the Cashew Nut Chicken with steamed rice. Everything is made to order and was quite delicious. We were all stuffed, but if you're craving dessert, they have a beautiful, creamy Mango Ice Cream pop which is amazing! I highly recommend checking out Chef Pim and the folks at Tho One Thai Eatery for a wonderful culinary experience. You won't be disappointed.
So I ordered my first to go from this place and I thought it was pretty good Thai food! The usual place that we went to seemed to not be as good anymore and would always take over 30 min for the order to be ready. When I ordered on the phone it was quite easy, but I was asked to give my credit card on the phone (which I don't really want to do) . The man I spoke to was real nice and explained that unfortunately there were people that had called for food but did not come to pick it up. I totally understand, and did not fault him at all. I will probably see if there may be an online option next time. I ordered a few of the usuals that we get, the pad thai (which we really enjoyed) the pad see yew and the papaya salad. The papaya salad. Note that the papaya salad is quite different than other places and that it has peanuts inside. They have lots of vegan options and a huge menu. I tried to get all of it in pictures so hope that it helps. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. One thing to note was that the person that took my order gave me some of this hot chili oil, it was so good! Really spicy but it had this smoky taste which was so good on the food. I attended my second Yelp event here and I absolutely loved it. Checking in was a breeze because the Yelp team is well coordinated and timely. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is super cute and cozy. We met the Chef and she gave us a sweet speech and the eating began. I ordered the honey and lemon with sparkling water. The drink was simple but, delicious! We were served a naan type of bread with a yellow curry sauce and I absolutely loved the concept and the flavor of the curry. Our second appetizer was a shrimp fried wonton ton served in a shot glass with a warm sweet sauce , and that was also delicious. Our main courses were noodles and two different types of sauces and protein. My favorite was the curry noodles with the chicken. The sauce is highly addicting! The other sauce had a spice to it but, still full of flavor and included the amazing shrimp. Lastly, our dessert was a mango ice cream bar - probably the best mango flavored ice cream I ever had. It's not too sweet and the creaminess is perfect. I absolutely recommend dining here for a flavor packed meal and great service. I'll definitely be back to try everything else they have to offer.

I I got the pad kee mao and it was delicious def recommend! The place itself it gorgeous and very calming. we went around lunch time and there was only one other group so we were able to have a peaceful meal

Tho One Thai Eatery is my go-to Thai food spot, and I even drive all the way from Riverside to get it! The Pad See Ew is always perfect--chewy noodles with a smoky wok flavor and a great balance of savory and sweet. The vegetables are crisp, and the protein is tender. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the customer service is amazing, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. When I went this past weekend, I saw the owner interact with little kids, giving them fun toys to take home, and it created such a warm, happy atmosphere. All smiles in the restaurant--definitely the perfect spot for delicious food and great vibes! read more

Super tasty thai food at a convenient location that's easy to find and easy parking! It's a small cozy restaurant with some interesting decorations. We ordered Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao (medium spicy) both had been decent taste wise. The sauce and the way chicken was cooked were great, delicious. The noodles were just slightly undercooked as they were short staffed and cooked in a hurry. I wanted to order the papaya salad as well but was told it'll take a long time as the kitchen is short staffed. Taste wise I'd give it a 4-5 stars because the dishes were tasty and I finished everything on my plate. Service wise I'd give it a 3 star because they were short staffed. Only one waiter running around the floor, taking orders, bringing food out and cleaning out the table. 2 people in the kitchen handling both floor and phone/online orders. There were 5 families in the restaurant at the time and we had to wait a long time to get orders in and get our food. The waiter is doing his best though and was honest about the wait time when we tried to order papaya salad. I hope he gets some additional help. Would come back again for takeout orders as the noodles were tasty. read more

My husband and I came in on a Saturday night. We were instantly greeted with a warm and energizing welcome from the owner! There's a rustic feeling with the decor and unique seating arrangements. It was very clear that they have lots of regulars here, and that they take the time to get to know them. We have Thai food quite often, and I must say this was the best Crying Tiger steak I've ever had! The Panang curry was also solid. The owner recommended that I try the Panang with beef next time. It's been awhile since we ate at this local spot. We were reminded of how great the food and service are. I had the chicken Pho and my husband the hot chicken plate. Both were delicious! I love this place SO much! If it was closer, I'd be eating here multiple times a week. Everything we ordered was delicious! We ordered the papaya salad, Tom kha seafood hot pot, glass noodles, pad kee mao, curry, spring rolls and more but can't recall. I recommend it all except the glass noodles I was not fond of and can make better at home. The service is excellent. The decor is super cute and loving. Entering seems to be made with love, just like the ambience and decor. Their plates, frames, cups, etc were all so cute! I love love love this place. read more

Don't go. I went yesterday to the place with a group of 5 around 5-6 pm and the place was empty. It was nice at first, but after we got our drinks they start to do other people order before ours even though in another post, the owner said first comes first serve. Then when we got the food they told my sister after around 30-40 mins we order that they had no broccoli. So we asked if it was possible for them to make it faster and they said yes, but then another family walked in and the person serving us said we're busy right now and had them sit down in a rude tone. When we finally got my sister food it tasted like gas. I will never go back. I don't know why it had 4.5 stars read more

We were at La Verne on a Friday afternoon to purchase a car. After the purchase was done, we were looking for a nice Asian place for lunch. It was 3.20pm, and some of them were closed and would open later in the day. I checked this tho one restaurant in Yelp, and it had great reviews. Thought we could try the place and glad we did. I am new to LA Verne and we really liked how green the city was. The day we visited, it was a little cloudy and cold and had its own beauty. Anyway we were greeted well as we entered the restaurant. The setting and lighting inside the restaurant is very soothing and warm. We ordered iced coffee, pad see ew chicken, yellow curry chicken, pineapple fried rice with chicken and crispy wonton. To our surprise, the food came out really fast and it was delicious. The portion size was not very generous nor too little. Cost is a little expensive for a Thai restaurant based on my experience at other Thai restaurants. One of our friends who is not a big fan of Thai said he loved the food here, and that says a lot on how yummy the food is here. read more

My cousin found this place on her Yelp and it is nearby her house. We picked this place because it had vegan options for me. My cousin and her husband ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, my brother ordered the Spaghetti Kee Mao, and I ordered the Penang Curry Vegetables add soy chicken. They all loved the food, but it was a little too oily. Their food was a good portion especially for the size. The Penang Curry Soy Chicken was good and had a nice kick, but I don't understand why the portion was so tiny for 16 dollars and an additional 3 bucks for the Soy Chicken. The 16 dollars for a tiny bowl of veggies cooked in curry with a tiny side of rice. Really? One star docked off. This is a small restaurant. I saw people come and go with their to go orders. Staff was nice. This restaurant is in the same plaza as target and broken yolk cafe. There's plenty of parking in this large lot read more

Ask for pim, she will take care of you and make you feel like home. This place IS DOG FRIENDLY and she even brought the puppers some water. The ambiance is chill and inviting, The decor is cute, and the music playing was soothing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND PLAN TO GO BACK!! The Thai place I want to order take out said it will take me an hr.. so decided to give this place a try.. Price and portion doesn't match. Taste - it was decent. Fried Chicken wings - small chicken wings.. wonder if they can find any smaller lol.. definitely did not worth the price even though it was good. Other places are cheaper and wings were bigger size Pad Kee Mao - it's average. Has the wok taste but the flavor is not there.. something was missing.. it's still flavorful but just didn't taste like Pad Kee Mao. Spicy eggplant - it was good but don't recall there were a lot of eggplant. I think if you add up the pieces.. it is just one egg plant. Madam.. Curry - peanut based so if you are allergic to peanut . Not good to order this . Can't compare since I never had this before. All the proteins I've added to my dish were hard or dried. Probably won't come back to this place. read more

Check this place out on the way back form work yesterday. I found this place on Yelp. I have Padthai chicken price $ 13.95 plush tax come up to $ 15.38 good portion fresh and Hot Condiment come with packaging togo But i bought some on the menu that's not come with it . Over all is good. read more

I visited Tho One Thai Eatery for the first time yesterday with a friend. I had found it on Yelp earlier that day when I was looking for eateries in the area. I am so glad I found it and so sad that this was not there when I used to spend a lot of time at University of La Verne. We only got to try two dishes, Tom Yum Shrimp (lemongrass soup) and Garlic Noodles with chicken. Both were great! I love any place that has good Tom Yum and good noodles. We really loved those noodles!! We ordered the Tom Yum spicy, and the woman who took our order (maybe the owner?) asked us if we were sure. Of course we were sure, and really, we didn't think it would be that spicy, but it was. It had a very good kick. It wasn't the top level of Thai spiciness, but it was almost up there. Just wanted to let those of you spicy-food lovers know. At the end of the meal, this lovely woman served us some banana muffins. They were delicious and seemed home-made. Needless to say, along with the food, the service was also great. I did not take any photos during this visit, but I will next time, as I will definitely be back! read more

I've been a Yelp lurker for years and appreciate the reviews before I commit to eating at a place. This place has 4.5 stars so it seemed to be a great choice for Thai food. I've never felt the need to write a review, or even a negative one at that, but it was the worst choice coming here. We ordered a variety of food for about $80. When we brought it home, my in-laws scooped the rice from the container to their bowls and on the first scoop we find a NASTY PENNY and NICKEL in the RICE!!! Obviously very unhygienic, and lost appetite immediately. When we called to explain the situation and asked for a full refund, they only offered HALF refund! Again, I've never felt the need to review a place until now, and I've gone to places where the food is bland or bad service. I often overlook restaurant mishaps, but Tho One Thai Eatery was a surprising dissapointment in hygiene and service! (at least give full refund) At this point it's not about the money, but now about warning anyone to steer clear of this place so you won't risk your health or wallet. read more

Most often I wait to try food from a location at least twice before giving my opinion but the food here is so good, I just have to share. We happened to be in the area and decided to try this little place out. We were beyond pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the decor is warm and inviting. We ordered the won ton soup, shrimp fried rice the pad see ew. Everything was fresh and delicious. The portions are extremely generous. Can't wait to come back and some of the other items on the menu. The freshly squeezed lemonade was perfect. Not too sweet..not too tart. The hubby tried the Thai iced coffee and he said it was really good too. read more

Small restaurant with big heart and oh so friendly owners. Intimate feel and comfortable seating, nice wine selection and wall signs are welcoming and fun to read. Don't skip on dessert the sticky rice with mango and coconut ice cream do not disappoint.when the doors open the food aroma can make a mouth water so delicious and if your in the mood for authentic it does not disappoint. read more
