TWO WEEKS LATER , we returned the BRAND NEW DAMAGED GOODS RV to the dealership KIRBY BARBER RV in Ventura, CA. We took out this RV 3 times . 1st time , it rained night before . ln the morning, water was leaking in the RV from both slide outs . 2nd time we took it out , it had not been raining . The next morning , there was water from slide outs . We were ready to take the brand new RV out for the 3rd trip . it was parked in front of our house in the street . The slide outs were in. It had poured the night before. My husband opened the door . It was flooded inside . Water everywhere . We took it straight to the dealership to be fixed On Feb. 23 , 2023 . Dealership could not find leak . They rarely called us to let us know any update on RV . We would have to contact them . On Mar.30, 2023 , I went to pick up my rain coat . The inside of that RV was thrashed . They had the entire bedroom disassemble . The walls were exposed . I touched them , they were MUSH !!!! You could see wood rot . You could see black in walls . No telling how much mold is in that RV . Remember it's a brand new Thor Windsport .....or it was ! Oh but good news the dealership says , they found the leak . They'll button it all back up & we can have the RV tomorrow . Are you serious ??? That day , we said we are not keeping this RV . This is not what we purchased . Remember we had it for TWO WEEKS ! This RV has been at dealership ever since . All Thor & Barber wanted to do was fix it under warranty . There was no way to fix it under warranty. A whole new RV would have to be rebuilt to make it brand new . They never offered a buy back . Thor & Barber were just happy to get rid of the water damaged wood rotting obviously mold in the Thor Windsport ! This RV should never have passed inspection to leave the Ohio Thor Plant . I purchased a 2022 Thor Sequence 20L. We have had problems with the RV starting from our first camping trip. The water heater/heater broke and so did the awning. That was just the start of our issues. Here is the list of issues and the RV is less than 8 months old. Inverter button broke, toilet leak, bed broke, gray water tank leaked inside of the coach, roof leaked inside of the coach,awning is still broken, quick valve release was faulty. I have been trying to get staff at Camping World to repair the items wrong with our new 2021 Thor. We have been waiting a week and the coach is still on the yard. They did not prepare what was wrong the first time in March. I write, I call to no avai. They are anxious to sell but forget service, integrity and standing by their product. I had stock in them and traded it. Winnebago is a better investment. Did I mention there is also a recall. Thors stock is about 108 I would trade it for winnebago. I bought a 2023 Thor Sequence on Jan. 23, 2023 for $134,000 to take my patent pending products on the road for sales. On my first trip out, within the first 300 miles, the problems began: cab ac did not work, check engine light on, auto tow brake light on (even though I was not towing anything), cabin ac stopped working, no electricity when unit was running, Lithium batteries not being charged. This forced me having to park in a friends driveway connected to shore power for 3 weeks in south FL while attempting to get the unit serviced. NOT ONE THOR dealership returned my call to get it in. I had to drive back to my home 750 miles to get into the repair shop. Also, the Dodge dealerships told me they do not work on modified vehicles! THOR Industries does not share (nor does the RV sales team) that they have a shortage on RV technicians nationwide (behind doctors and teachers shortages, they told me) or that most Dodge dealerships do not work on modified vehicles when you buy the vehicle. When I questioned the Under Warranty status, the so-called Customer Service Agent called me "ignorant" for not understanding what a warranty is. It has now been eight weeks that I have owned the unit, and it is currently in the repair shop, for who knows how long. I also think because I am a woman, they think they can disregard my situation. The "emergency" customer agent I spoke to suggested I hire an attorney. I will next file with the State's Attorneys Office as Thor is a rip-off and cares nothing about the customer experience or having their customer service reps insult and make disparaging comments. Thor has cost me thousands in revenue, not to mention travel costs to and back from my work trip ON TOP of the exorbitant amount of money I spent on the vehicle and the remaining loan I have incurred. read more

When a BRAND NEW unit spends the majority of the first 6 months of ownership, it's a pretty good sign that the workmanship sucks. Constant trips to Camping World for warrantied repairs (and returning again and again for the same problem). Drawer in bedroom fell apart after minimal use. Engine battery completely dies if you don't start it EVERY DAY (Thor won't respond, and Camping World basically says "sucks to be you"). If the company cared about their reputation, they might want to consider paying for a mobile tech to come out and repair their lemons to keep people from having to constantly go back for repairs. Best advice to anyone, DON'T EVER BUY A THOR. read more

I have owned the Thor Motor Coach ACE 29.2 2013 model for a year now. So far every trip has ended with being towed or a visit to a service department. The majority of the issues are just poor quality control. If they spent a few extra minutes making sure everything is assembled correctly most of my issues wouldn't exist. My major issues are the slide is so loud and obnoxious sounding it makes it difficult to drive. You can't hold a conversation with your passengers without ave to yell. Then the slide awning keeps falling off. If they would quit putting band aids on it and us fix it correctly it wouldn't be an issue. And then their is the generator. It continually stops running. I assume due to overheating since it has melted the outside door cover. I could go on listing tons of other issues, but these are the three main problems. Oh, other than the automatic step which doesn't work and the loud popping sounds the self leveling jacks make all night preventing anyone from sleeping. My recommendation to anyone looking to purchase a new RV, I would stay away from Thor Motor Coach for the time being. They have major quality control issues. I have browsed the forums and all of my problems are mentioned by others as well. They do not return messages, I made an appointment and drove my RV from California to their Indiana service center and all of the issues I took it to them for still exist. They never once even went for a test drive to verify they had solved any if the issues. I love the floor plan, I just wish it was usable. Jamie Rienks promised us to take care of rusted Chassis on our brand new 2019 Thor Outlaw I'm not sure if Thor sold my Family of 8 a flooded coach but why promise something in writing then just say no? We're puzzled can someone who has the power please help us? If not I hope this review will help another customer not be duped into buying a defective vechicle while under factory warranty. The Outlaw is rusted on all the morryde frames ,kwiqee steps, onnan generator metal parts. I understand Thor doesn't take care of rust as in warranty but then why did Jamie Rienks call my voicemail and email stating they will? I guess that's our biggest concern that and the water heater won't turn off. I asked for the manager because Jamie keeps giving us empty promises till our warranty actually runs out. In August 2016 I went to LA Mesa RV in Colton, Ca. They pulled the ole "bait and switch" on us and stuck us with this horrid heap. 2017 Thor Axis 25.2. I should have ran. The day we picked it up the converter blew right on the lot. 8 hours later they shoved us out the door, with a supposedly fixed RV. First trip we experienced electrical failure. Took it back for repairs. Problem persisted. Thor techs are dumbfounded. The converter keeps blowing and to this day all three batteries, including engine battery will be dead if left unplugged for a few days. This pile of junk has been in the shop more than it's been on the road. We can't give this thing away because we owe more than it's worth. read more

We bought a Thor Windsport from General RV Center in Dover, FL, In 2016. The sales people were aggressive about selling us a Platinum Ultimate Plus Protection plan to protect both the exterior and interior finishes, at a cost of $1,285. When we explained that it would be garage kept and not used that much, the salesman told us we really should have the coverage to protect the inside surfaces from damage, too. We have only 4,500 miles on our RV, and we have kept it in our garage in order to avoid environmental damage. However, the upholstery on the driver's seat, passenger seat, and couch is completely peeling off. The result is a completely disgusting mess! We can't even sit on it without the residue getting all over our clothes. When we contacted the warranty people, they were quick to quote us the protection as applying only to stains and tears, not peeling. We researched the problem online and found MANY people experiencing the same problem since 2010, so we know Thor was aware of the problem. We feel defrauded - and lied to. When we call other dealers about possible selling the RV, one of their first questions is whether the seats are peeling. It definitely is a widely known problem. We are ashamed of how awful our RV looks and would like to have the upholstery redone using durable material. read more

2021 Thor Aria has never ending issues since day one. 19 months and Freightliner TPMS system still not fixed. Refrigerator broke on 2nd trip. No heat on first trip due to circuit board had poor connect and had one wire harness not even connected. What was funny the Quility Control that employee signed off of right next to wiring. Camping World Indy I don't think every did PDI on unit. Main slide broke on 4th trip and had to have motor etc replaced. Cabinet bottom fell out on 4th trip. Toilet in main bathroom won't flush properly and you have to flush so many times you almost empty out your fresh water tank. Had coolant light on from day one and after two trips finally found leak. Coolant reservoir ran dry on 2nd trip. I can go on and on. Beware the quality has been poor and Thor is interested in quantity over quality. read more

Bought a new 2019 Thor Tuscany 45MX in January 2019 and ever since then I have been kicking myself in the ass......just like so many other reviews we have had so many problems with this coach. We love the storage, floor plan and colors and the chassis and engine are fine, but everything else is garbage. we have constant sewer smells from under the bed, leaking slides, just very poor workmanship throughout. Have had it back to LaMesa, Tucson where we purchased it many times and to their credit, they have actually fixed a lot of the issues we have. The problem is, is that when one thing is fixed, another pops up. I have fixed so many things that I should have submitted invoices to Thor so I could get reimbursed for my time. If you own a Thor product and are not at least a little handy you may find yourself stranded at some point. Richard G read more

We ordered our RV from Thor in July 2017. After waiting 4 months, we finally took delivery November 2017. On a recent trip, we found out that the topper awning on the slide out is 6" too short. It does not cover the slide out completely. Consequently, when it rained, the top of the slide out got flooded. Since the warranty is over by four months, Thor is refusing to fix it. They say it is the correct topper. Since we had not taken it out in the rain until now, we did not realize it had the wrong topper on the slide out. The Thor certified service center says it is 6" too short. We feel this is not a warranty issue, since it is a manufacture/assembly error. We have been getting the run around at Thor for 4 weeks, and now they state they will not correct their error. Every time we call Thor, we talk to the same person, Jason Treadway, who acts like he has never heard from us. The cost of the correct topper is $332.89 with labor of $298.00. We have had two separate occasions of needing assistance on major issues with our 2020 Thor Four Winds 31' WV Class C we bought this past June. Through a wonderful FB groups started by Diana Stoltz called Thor Four Winds Family, Thor's Media Team representatives contacted me on their own volition to help me address the problems we were having. Kayla and Aaron were amazing and either intervened with the dealership on repairs, investigated where parts were, and or offered several tips and resources that have been very beneficial! We were stunned to have them as ongoing resources and have shared important info sources for troubleshooting and problem solving things that come up on our rigs. presenter: donald h. pursley 1/8/2019 topic: arbitration for repurchase for vehicle vin # wdapf4cxxh9731667 by thor motor coach. key message: the vehicle has been out of service for over 30 days for repairs for non-comformity three times since our purchase may 26, 2018. the first time out of service was from june 23,2018 to august 25,2018. a total of 66 days out of service. the second time out of service was from september 4, 2018 to october 20,2018. a total of 45 days out of service. the third time out of service was from november 1, 2018 to january 18, 2019. a total of 78 days. out of the 231 days that we have been making payments, we have had possession of it for 42 days. it has been out of service 189 days. this has certainly been a hardship on my wife and me. it has been eight months of nothing but worry, anguish and disappointment. this has killed our retirement dreams. 1st point: the vehicle has been in repair, for water leaking into the cab 189 out of 231. we have had it in our possession 42 days since purchase date. we planned trips, that had to be cancelled. we've had no use of the vehicle in the eight months since we purchased it 0n may 26,2018. the vehicle has had water pouring into the cab on two different work orders (w.o. 5438,6659) and still leaking on third #7381. the leak on work order # 5438 was written up by rv world upon check-in of the vehicle. this is a nonconformity and safety issue. you can not drive a vehicle with water pouring in on you like a heavy rain and drive it safely. i might note here that a point of entry for water from the outside has more relevance than gravity where the leak into the cab is concerned. there is the problem with the tail lights having moisture in them. there is a real chance that they will short-out and we will not have brake lights tail lights and backup light, which would make it easy to be hit in the rear, a safety issue. the tail lights have been written-up three times (work orders # 6659 resealed tail lights, #7381 replaced and resealed #8074 replaced tail lights). it is setting out there now with moisture in the tail light. i would say that the problem isn't the tail light assemblies but water between the interior wall and the exterior wall. i will leave it up to mercedes-benz and thor to figure out where water from the outside into the cab came from, all i know is we have been without the vehicle that we've been making timely payment on for 8 months and haven't used the vehicle one time. the only time it has been driven since we purchased it, is to and from rv world for repairs. it has had appoximately 233 miles on it. it is 32 miles from home to rv world, it was on that road 7 times. 2nd point according to thor motor coach representative, and the check-in work order #5438 on march 1, 2018, it appears the vehicle has been in an accident. if you will note, the only date on this work order #5438 was the day it was checked in and it listed numerous problems including water pouring into the cab of the vehicle. that was a full two months before we purchased it. they had 85 days to repair the vehicle before it was put on the lot for sale. obviously, they put it on the lot to sell without running a leak test, because it was pouring water into the cab when we got it home the first time after purchasing it on may 26, 2018. next go to book now i would like to point your attention to w.o. #5438 page:5-10. this work order was written up on march 01, 2018, my name was added to this work order on may 26,2018. the first time we saw the work order was november 8,2018. we had never been told about the work order or the water pouring into the cab or any other problems with the vehicle. read more

I traded my 2014 Winnebago Vista for this 2019 Thor Miramar 35.3. For an additional $90k I am pleased with the features and amenities of my new coach. However, I feel for the money spent; Thor would view and treat its customers as though our opinion matters... especially when dealing with a hazardous situation that might be present in the entire Miramar line. My brother has a Tiffin Allegro and goes on and on about how well the company "takes care of him" and values his input. I switched from Winnebago to Thor thinking they are leaders within the industry with such a wide range of brands and companies. However, maybe that simply translates to me being "just another number"! read more

In April 2021 we purchased a 2022 Tellaro 20L as an "impulse buy" at a local RV Show sponsored by a major dealer. We both came to this Motorcoach from experience with Water Craft (Motor & Live-Aboard Sail Boats), so we had a serious learning curve due to vast differences between Marine & Land vehicles. We had several glitches right at the start, requiring us to have the vehicle towed to the Dodge Service Center, then we had to leave our vehicle with the RV dealer for several months for warranty repairs. When we picked it up, we discovered the dealer had not performed the majority of the requested repairs and stated they were refusing to do them as it "was just the state of the RV industry and we would have to learn to accept it." To say we were frustrated is an understatement! We considered selling our Tellaro with less than 3K miles on it! I was able to get in touch with Thor Representative Kayla Tee who was instrumental in assisting us. Over the course of time, she assigned Aaron Mondy and Jeannine Ranstead to help us. Thankfully, our issues to date have been easily repaired and do appear to be the norm in the RV Industry as a whole. What stands out with Thor Motorcoach Company is the online and telephone support system. When a problem arises, you can simply reach out to them for support and feel confident they will help you. Thanks to the assistance we received we decided not to sell our Tellaro and have started enjoying some great camping trips! We look forward to several more years of adventure! read more

We have had our Thor Axis 25.2 (2016) for a year now. For the most part we love it. Just a few problems but have been able to deal with them. Thor Customer Service has been great. Had to call a couple of times for assistance and they were able to help. Would definitely purchased another. We are retirees and this small Motorhome fits us perfectly. A special thanks to Thor for the small gifts that they sent. They arrived at our home address so we just received them as we were gone for the winter. Always nice when customers are appreciated. We just took our brand new Thor out for the first time and we felt very blessed to have been able to afford one. I have to say that in all honesty we are really disappointed at the craftsmanship. For as much as we paid we really expected a better quality. The sprinter is great but cabin is poorly crafted. I expected little things here and there but there was no quality control. Purchased a brand new 2016 Thor Motor Coach in Sept. of 2016. In Nov. of 2016 it starting having major water leaks inside the RV. It has been in service 7 times for water leaking and other ongoing issues. Out of the 9 months of owning a brand new RV, it has been in for service 7 of those months. When you contact Thor Motor Coach Corporate offices to get some assistance with this major issue that isn't being repaired, nothing happens. Warranty Dept. says they will keep on top of it and make sure it's repaired correctly & in timely fashion, but they lie! Sent letter 3 times to VP of Thor to explain issues with brand new vehicle to see if they could help with the problem, but they are not interested in customer satisfaction! Thor manufactured vehicles and send them out to sell, but then wash their hands of anything after that! read more

We bought a 2021 Thor Vegas last January from La Mesa RV in Port Lucie. The 2nd camping trip we started experiencing leaks. We got back home and the earliest appt. was a month later. We took it in and finally took it home 3 months later after we were told the leaks were fixed. The next day it rained and of course there were was water inside RV plus water damage. We finally found where it was coming from and took it back up to dealer-which is almost 2 hours north of us. They finally fixed it. After we got home we noticed the air was not working up front. We took it back up to the dealer and after my husband sat there from 8am to 4:30pm they told him it was a short and they were not able to fix it to take it to a Ford dealer. We have called so many Ford dealers and none of them work on RVs. It is so disappointing to have to deal with all these issues and no one to help us with it. They should be able to recommend a place we can take it. Not just leave us hanging trying to resolve this problem ourselves. I have called Thor numerous times and they really don't seem to care and nor does the dealer. We are so very stressed out over this. We had an 2013 Thor Palazzo and traded it in for a new Thor Vegas only because we were so happy with the Thor Palazzo. We already had to cancel 3 camping trips this year.. Air conditioned not work, flooring was not glued down, front shade does not work, awning leaks, slides were leaking and so on and so forth. This year, during an inspection, it was discovered that the FELT LINED ROOF MATERIAL soaked up water and spread through the whole roof! $8,000 repair! I would stay away for anything that says thor.. If I could rate this company a zero star I would. The customer service is at best a F-. Thor customer service will do nothing to help. The product is junk and trust me I have a piece of junk. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased one. The RV I got has spent more time in the shop than with me. I customer service lady was rude and unprofessional. She cared nothing about what you were going through. He job is to make sure you keep their junk. They work closely with the dealership you purchased it from. Learn from my mistakes and stay away from them. Now, you would think that the dealer would help you but wrong, they are worst. Stay away from DeMontrond RV. They sell the junk and the service guy there is the worst. It's been one big loss....... These people just don't care. If you made the mistake already and have to go there make sure you get your repair paperwork before you leave. I trusted them!!! I never got no paperwork from the service adviser. We have a Thor, 2014 class A, Hurricane, we've had nothing but trouble. And now we're retired on a trip and taking on water from the heavy rain, around the slides NO, NO, NO, I won't and don't recommend ANY thor product. They do very poor workmanship and they don't back their product. It's like Haha stupid you bought, it's yours now! We travel year round and we're in alot of rv parks and I tell EVERYONE the problems we have. All I have to do is invite them in to see how the upholstery AND the floor looks! Our coach is only 4 years old and wears like it is 18 years old! Our captains chairs, dinette and recliner look horrible, embarrassing to show the inside of our coach! Think twice before investing in a THOR!! OUR CURTAINS FEEL APART IN LESS THAN A YEAR, AND THEY WANTED $300. TO REPLACE THEM!! FROM DAY 1 WE'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH SLIDES, FRAME AROUND DINETTE PLULLING AWAY from the SLIDE. Their answer is ALWAYS IT'S "COSMETIC NOTHING WE CAN DO" THEY JUST DON'T CARE". Had problems with hydraulics. The schematic posted for fuses in incorrect!! WE DIDN'T NOTICE FOR A WHILE UNTIL THE LINOLEUM SETTLED. THEY DIDN'T EVEN SWEEP THE FLOOR BEFORE LAYING IT NOW ITS ALL LUMPY..IN MY "OPINION " THEY'RE JUST A PLAIN PISS POUR COMPANY, NO PRIDE IN WORKMAN SHIP! there were so many more problems, I just can't think of them right now. Because I'm pissed we're in the middle of a storm and water is coming in!! Purchased a $100,000 RV in 2017(2018 model) had nothing but trouble since day 3. Gotten some help and fixes after months of trying to get someone to talk to me. RV is an absolute lemon, more than 20 things fixed on it since purchase, not of which was easy. From inverter, to cooktop to toilet (took 3 years to fix) to black mold and mushrooms growing off it. Absolutely disgusting show of customer service. I'm active military and don't have time to deal with the nonsense, was told I may get traded out of it finally about a month ago, only to learn that was lip service. Too many issues to list here, if you'd like to know more feel free to reach out. I have emails, pictures, work orders and videos...... Thor is an unreliable un-reputable dealer/manufacturer. Unit is almost 4 years old, has 3600 miles on it of which Thor put 1000 driving to initial dealer, and another 1800 driving it to Indiana to replace wings and get rid of black mold. Once again my post is related to my displeasure of our Thor Outlaw! Why do we keep it I ask myself all the time, but it's the best motor home for our 2 dogs and the motorcycle. Update - dealer was lazy days in seffner, fl Driver window is leaking water into coach Side window is fogged must be replaced we purchased a 2017 Outlaw Thor from the dealer. When we took delivery (after paperwork) the RV tanks were disgusting and smell horrific, the generator has 52 hours on it and they couldn't find the keys to the rig. My salesperson was "out sick for days" and we were told we couldn't view the coach because it was in detailing. We were rushed to sign papers even though we asked over and over we were given the run around about seeing the coach until after the deal was signed for. Called "paperout!" During our purchasing deal we were with Chuck a finance dude. My husband went over the numbers Chuck produced and my husband discovered a discrepancy with the agreed price and because Chuck didnt want to re-write the contract he said I will just give you the difference of $500 in a gift card. After the deal was done he then said he didnt have access to the office that has the gift cards. I waited three days and fought with several people about the money. Eventually I was given a $500 "GIFT MONEY" voucher in $25 dollar increments to the store they own. KEEPING IN MIND- this is my $500 that I over paid- not that it was a GIFT in any way! We saw the rig after 12 hours in the dealership and then we found out that the coach we purchased was basically the company party bus! I found season tickets to the Bucs and parking pass for the RV in it. In addition the rig has over 50 hours on the generator. We found over 92 items in less than a 48 hour period of items to be repaired/replaced! We left the rig for two weeks and they didn't fix much of anything. In fact my rig now has over 120 items to be repaired/replaced. I returned with the coach for a one week repair (I arranged this with them over three weeks prior it was coming in and for what) after 1 week about five things were fixed. They complain and say it is "THOR" holding up the process. "THOR has to authorize this or ship that." Now we have to take it to Indiana to the manufacturer for repairs because of this. When we took it to camp for the first time the bedroom slide was stuck and had to get a mobile mechanic. I would like to share that we have met with the sales manager who basically said it was their mistake. With no resolution. We have dealt with Don Chance with no resolution. We asked to get a newb rig and we were told "THOR would not allow this" that is must all come from THOR. But, we could trade our rig in and get a new one..We have had the coach for about two months now. I would really like to speak with an attorney. Ok so now the update from my previous reviews. They finally traded our old rig for a 2016, after hemming & hawing for 5 months. When we picked it up from the dealer, they looked at me & said "Why did you wait so long to pick up your RV we have had it here since May (this was October). When we did the walk through I pointed out the main beam for the full side slide out was bowed, I was assured that they would order the part & repair it. Never heard back from them, I finally took it in for warrenty repair. I just recieved the RV back today 3/317 I dropped in off on 9/9/16. Only to discover that the repairs weren't done. So hear we go again! Come monday the first call is to my attorney AGAIN!!! read more

Bought a new 2017 Thor Outlaw 37RB and in 2019 I still have unresolved WARRANTY issues. I could have referred many customers to Thor during my travels, but I cannot recommend Thor. My unit has been at Camping World more than it has been with me. I still do not have working side cameras or a backup camera for 2 years!!! My sidewalls have separated on both sides in the front to where I can see the road at the floor. My dashboard bounces like a fish out of water and now my power mirrors do not work. I feel like the whole front end has dropped and I see the foam and 2x4s used to construct the dashboard when I clean the front window. I could go on but I would be writing for days. Thor no longer responds to my emails. I think they have me blocked. If I ran a business like this, I would be out of business. There's no customer service!!! read more

I just finished up paying another $5K+ to complete repairs on my 2014 Thor Four Winds Super C. This time it related to a slide that was not well designed and improperly installed. Previous issues that have cost many thousands include batteries, inverter, floor, shades, windows, trim, fuel lines, lights, etc, etc. This company makes junk and should be embarrassed to say made in the USA.
